KONEPISTOOLI - KONEPISTOOLI

Konepistooli is a new Greek hardcore/punk band that is heavily influenced by old Finnish bands like Riistetyt, Kaaos, Rattus and Lama. In this first self-titled album, Konepistooli shoots his ears with fourteen tracks, in which there are two versions: one with Finnish lyrics and the other with Greek lyrics. Konepistooli is originally a Finnish design submachine gun (SMG) that was used mainly during World War II and also called Suomi KP/-31 (Suomi-konepistooli or "Finland-submachine gun", literally: "Finland Machine-pistol"), in which the soldier on the cover is using this same weapon. Anyway, the sound of this band is really cool.

Konepistooli é uma nova banda de hardcore/punk grega que é muito influenciada pelas antigas bandas finlandesas como Riistetyt, Kaaos, Rattus e Lama. Neste primeiro álbum auto-intitulado, o Konepistooli fuzila os ouvidos com catorze faixas, na qual existe duas versões: uma em finlandês e outra em grego. Konepistooli é originalmente uma submetralhadora (SMG) de design finlandês que foi usada principalmente durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial e também chamada de Suomi KP/-31 (Suomi-konepistooli ou "metralhadora da Finlândia", literalmente: "pistola-metralhadora da Finlândia"), na qual o soldado da capa está usando esta mesma arma. Enfim, o som dessa banda é bem legal.

The Heretics is Rotting Christ's 13th album and was released in 2019. First, the cover art that was made by Maximos Manolis already catches the eye and automatically notes the connection to the album title. Musically, the Tolis brothers (Sakis and Themis) have made The Heretics follow a more modern line by assimilating a bit with Rituals, the 2016 album, where it pleases those who enjoy Soulfly (the track "Heaven and Hell and Fire" is a good example) and Behemoth, for example. Another interesting point of The Heretics is that the lyrics were written in English, Russian (the track "Ветры злые" - "Vetry zlye"), Latin (the track "Dies Irae"), Greek (the track "Πιστεύω" - "I Believe") and Arabian (the track "The Voice of the Universe"), as well as quotes from authors such as Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Mark Twain, Friedrich Nietzsche, John Muir, Thomas Paine, William Shakespeare, Nikolaos Kazantzakis ("Πιστεύω" - "I Believe" was based on one of his poems), Voltaire and Edgar Allan Poe ("The Raven" was based on on his poem of the same name). Well, The Heretics is a cool album.

De cara, a capa que foi feita por Maximos Manolis já chama a atenção e automaticamente nota-se a conexão com o título do álbum. Musicalmente, os irmãos Tolis (Sakis e Themis) fizeram The Heretics seguir uma linha mais moderna assimilando um pouco com Rituals, o álbum de 2016, na qual poderá agradar quem curte Soulfly (a faixa "Heaven and Hell and Fire" é um bom exemplo) e Behemoth, por exemplo.
