Cabled halfmittens

Yarn is Classic Elite yarns, Inka Alpaca.
100% Alpaca. runs 100 m on 50 grams.
I used needles 4 mm.
A very quick and easy project. Crochet edge at the top to prevent it from being to loose when used.
Pattern is something I made up from something I once saw on the internet. Where ? Can`t remember really. I knitted them through two afternoons while visiting my kids in Denmark.

Lev Landlig koften

Lev Landlig translated means to live like on the country side. It is desined by Lene Holme Samsøe og Liv Sandvik Jakobsen, authors of "kofteboken".
This design is NOT in the book, but pattern could be found here: Lev Landlig koften.

I used Karisma from Drops because I had almost all the yarn for a Kofte in my stash- I added the pink and 2 balls of grey. In total 750 gr. and knitted on 3,5 and 5mm. needles.
She was very quick knitted ( from top down) .

I am pleased with the how it turned out and the colourcombo.

I fell in love with Camomille

Last December I bought a book by Helga Isager, "Finstrikket" and is devided in seasons chapters.
Camomille shawl is a summer garment.

I bought the yarn requested and shortned it down a little bit to fit a large scarf size.
The colour is a pale blueish/green. Looks grey though on pictures down below.

The shawl was knitted on size 3,5 mm and in garter stiches.
Yarn used is 150 gr. of Isager Tvinni and 150 gr. of Isager Alpaca.
Pattern is 4 rows with both yarns and 4 rows with Alpaca only.
All edges with both strings.
The edge was fun to knit and easy to memorize.
All in all I`m pretty pleased with the outcome and love the seethrough effect.
This will be my new favourite and will be good to throw arounds my shoulders and neck. This summer has been pretty cold so I most definitely will bring Camomille with me when I take the trip to nothern Norway.

Arne & Carlos

Arne & Carlos was guesting a local cafè in my home town yesterday. Don`t know how well you know them, but in Norway; Well known. Fun to listen to and they have such a healthy relationship with yarn!
They`re making dolls, blakets and other garments. And look where they live:
Such a peacefull and lovley place.
I have four of their books and very muck enjoy look through them. Get inspiration and ideas.
The book I like the most is the garden book.
