Uncle Brian was home for a week in between work trips, and he made time to come play one night - we had so much fun with him. Hope to see you again soon!
Avery kept saying "again, again"! Uncle Brian had fun tossing her in the air:

Lake Weekend at Gammy & Poppie's
Gammy is famous for giant, delicious breakfasts...and she never fails to impress us all! Here you see that even Hunter benefited from this special breakfast. It's such a treat to wake up & have someone cook our breakfast...and we always look forward to eating at the lake house. =)

Avery loves the boat!
Even Sammy loves the boat:
Avery caught her first fish! I wish that I had my camera when she reeled in her fish, but I didn't. Darn. Here you see her having fun with daddy on the dock trying to catch another one.
Poppie teaching his grand kids an important lesson: CLEAN YOUR DISHES. (this is something that I learned as a kid too). Avery enjoyed helping!

First STEPS...
SO, our little man is 10 1/2 months old, and already on the move. He has been crawling (fast!) all over the house and pulling up on everything for months. But, now I think life is about to change yet again. He has been standing up in the middle of the room and just looking around. He will stay this way for 30 seconds or so, and then just sit back down. Yesterday this became a minute - and then was followed by what I will call his first steps. He took 2 steps towards the door BY HIMSELF, and then fell down. Wow, I think I know whats next.

Easter Sunday 2011
Easter was so special this year - it being Hunter's first Easter, and Avery's first year understanding about what's going on. (and by that I mean the Easter bunny is coming & there will be eggs to hunt - we will work on the true meaning of Easter next year). In the morning Avery woke up first and ran downstairs with us to start hunting eggs. It's a tradition for us to hide eggs all over the house (and yard now too) and to have Avery hunt them as soon as she wakes up.
Here is Avery showing off her stash:
When Hunter woke up, he was given his Easter baskets, one from the bunny and one from his Gammy & Poppie:
Gammy and Poppie came over to play that morning and bring the kids their baskets:
After lunch and naps, we packed up the car and headed over to Aunt Ragan's house. Apparently the Easter bunny had left hundreds of eggs in their yard and they needed help finding them all. Our kids were happy to help!

Our best attempt at family pictures...
It is so difficult to get all four of us looking at the camera at the same time & smiling...but here's our best attempt:

What do you do for fun in Crowder, MS
Crowder, MS is one of the neatest small towns...it is a farming town, so most of Clint's family has been in farming at one point in time. I will never forget my first trip out there - and I rode in a cotton picker (tractor) it was HUGE. Everyone seems to know someone, and they have some neat stuff to play with...

Visiting Great - Grandma Memama
We recently made the drive out to Mississippi with the kids to go visit their great-grandmother, Memama. This was the first long car ride for Hunter, and he did amazingly well. The trick is to drive at night. We learned on this trip that it's the best way with kiddos in the car. We made sure that the second half of the trip was at night so the kids just slept for the last few hours. (instead of being miserable stuck in car seats).
Hunter loved his Memama:
Memama and her great-grand babies. She has 20 in total, but here are the ones we could gather up:
Clint loves his Memama too.
