Baby Shower for Brendyn

My good friend, Amy, is due to have her little boy in June. Today she had a baby shower to begin collecting some "boy things". I think 95% of their baby stuff is bright pink, so I am sure she was happy to get some blue things today. =) I can't wait to meet baby Brendyn in about 2 months!

Fieldtrip Day with my cousins!

This is Avery waiting by the fence for the pony to come back...she was clapping her hands trying to get the pony's attention...while Maggie was calling "come here horsey"! (it was too cute!)


This past Saturday I took Avery on a day (morning) of field trips. We meet up with Aunt Ragan, and cousins Maggie & Charley after breakfast. The first place we visited was the Chattahoochee Nature Center. They were having a Earth Day Festival - so there was a lot going on. We walked around and looked at the animals, and then had a picnic lunch on the grass. It was so pretty outside, we were just thrilled to be out in the sun enjoying the day. Then, we headed over to a local barn that was offering pony rides and a petting zoo. Avery felt very at home surrounded in horses, dogs, and other random animals! However, the line for the pony ride was just too long - so we had to pass. I promised to take the girls for a real ride on Bess sometime soon =) But we did get to visit with the pig, goats, and bunny rabbit before we left. What a fun filled day!

Papa's Birthday & Easter

This year Easter fell on the same day as Papa's birthday! So, we celebrated both events on a beautiful day outside. We had amazing weather, it was 70 degrees and completely sunny (we had to break out the sunblock for Avery!). Avery's Grandma & Papa Calvert hosted their annual Easter egg hunt for all the kiddos - and it was tons of fun. Avery tossed a few eggs into her basket, and played with her cousins while we ate good food and enjoyed the day.
