Baby Brunch for the Twins

As many of you know, Ashley & Alison like to do things together...why not have babies together too?! Alison is due in April, and Ashley in June...so a group of us decided to throw a celebration brunch for them. It was so much fun seeing my friends pregnant (brought back memories!) and chatting with them about baby stuff. We had a great brunch with a great group of girls. Looking forward to meeting Hayes SOON!

"Urban" Playdate

On Friday we planned a "playdate" for some of my co-workers and their kids. It was special to include one past co-worker, and aunt Ragan too. All the kids had so much fun and the mommies got a chance to catch up to. It turned out to be a rainy day, so that made it even better that the kids could run around inside and wear each other out before nap time. :o)

It's lunchtime for all the little ones! All six kiddos sat together and dined on goldfish, fruit, hotdogs and macaroni & cheese.

Triple Threat

Tonight Avery played with her cousins...and all three of them ended up in the ball-pit together. It was so cute!

Avery's boyfriend turns one!

The handsome birthday boy with his mom & his first bite of cake!

Avery recently went to her boyfriend's (Wade) birthday party. It was so much fun! She played with a bunch of fun kids, and enjoyed some cupcakes. Wade's mom did such a great job with the party - she even had a giant "moon walk" blown up in the yard to play in.

Avery loves Zoo Atlanta

We decided to make the best of a beautiful day on Sunday, and take our baby girl to the zoo. We knew they had a petting zoo for little ones, and we had a funny feeling she would love it...and she DID. Avery is fearless when it comes to animals, she will walk right up to a horse and smack it on the face. =) (thanks to Bess, she has learned to love horses) So, when we made a stop at the petting zoo today, Avery was in heaven. She walked right up to all the goats & sheep and just started petting them all over. She would watch them eating hay and drinking water too - then would go to inspect everything. It was a great experience, and these were seriously the tamest animals I have ever seen, they must be petted all day long every day - so it did not faze them one bit.

The rest of the zoo was a lot of fun too, Avery enjoyed looking at the animals from a distance & then waving "bye bye" to them as we would move onto the next area. She also ate her first corn-dog & loved that. We will definitely be back soon!

Grandma Debra's Special Day

Grandma Debra is finishing her Masters Degree at KSU this summer. This weekend she was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society! Avery and Mommy went to watch her get her certificate and were so proud of her!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Avery's First BIRTHDAY!!!

So...where does the time go? Our little "baby" has turned into a "toddler" so quickly!! Seems like so much happened in a week. She started walking, then talking more, then she turns ONE. I am a little sad that she seems to be growing up so quickly, but at the same time it is all so exciting. Her vocabulary is getting bigger each day - she seems to learn a word after hearing it just a few times. It truly amazes us.

Avery's birthday (2/28) happened to fall on a Saturday - so it was perfect timing for a party. We invited our family, and Avery's best friends to join us. Avery enjoyed playing with her best friends (Maggie, Charley, Wade, Addison, and Lauren) and getting into all her new stuff. Then we all sang Happy Birthday to her - and watched her "dive" into her first cake! It was so funny watching her...she was pretty clean about it - but still ended up with cake all over her face. :o)

I have posted a few pictures (thanks K) and more to come when I get them back from the photographer. Thanks to all who made it such a special day for Avery!
