Avery's Purple Leg. . .

So, as most of you know already, Avery has had a tough week. Last Wednesday we were getting ready to go see Santa Clause - and Avery took a tuble right off the changing table! It was the worst moment in my life so far...as a mom, I just couldn't believe that it happened to me. I pride myself on being so safe & careful - then look what can happen in 2 seconds. Anyways, she landed on her leg in the wrong way - and we ended up taking her to the hospital just in case. Sure enough, she had broken her leg. We left the hospital with Avery's right leg in a big, purple cast. I thought she was going to be so upset - but she has proven me wrong. She is just as happy as before, now she is even crawling around just like before! (well a little different) She has a hard time sleeping through the nights, but I don't mind helping her with that at all. We just rock together as long as it takes to get her comfortable again. We have become good "nightime buddies" :o). Well, I have to thank all of our wonderful family & friends for all the love and support during this time. All the calls, visits, and cheerful gifts for Avery have been very appreciated.

We watched the Clemson game on Saturday with some friends - and Avery decided that she would dress the part in her jersey! Unfortunately we did not win - but we had fun anyways...

Fall is here!

The trees are so beautiful right now - we just had to spend some time in the backyard. Cole & Sammy enjoyed playing around Avery...and Avery enjoyed eating some dirt - oops!

A Fun Weekend

We went to cousin Maggie's 2nd birthday party this weekend. Avery had such a good time watching all the bigger kids playing...and getting their faces painted. It was a great party. And this is the best picture I could take of this group. (It's was a task to get everyone to look at the same time). Happy Birthday to Maggie!

Avery loves riding around in this car! We go for a ride every day to get the mail together...then Avery likes to eat the mail, so we have to be careful :o) Apparently after Brittany Spears was photographed with her boys in these "cars", their sales shot up - and now all the kids need one. ha.

My First Halloween

Avery decided that she would dress-up as a pony this year (for her Bessey). So, we hit up the local neighborhood party so she could visit with her friends Snow White & Minny Mouse (aka: Kate & Hayley). She had so much fun - and can't wait to be able to run around with the other kids next year.

We also visited the party that Grandma Janell & Papa throw every year at their house. All the kids in Sommerset finish trick-or-treating and end up here for dinner. So fun!

She LOVES pumpkins, and was hugging & kissing them whenever she could!
