Getting BIG (and ready!)

Here I am on February 24th...one more day until Avery's due date, and I don't think I can get any bigger! Our doctor is saying that Avery is "happy in there and in no hurry to come out", so we are planning to induce labor on Thursday 2/28 if she has not made her appearance before then. Wish us luck please! Clint and I spent a great weekend together enjoying some quiet time before baby comes, and now it's just time to wait and see how the week goes.

A very PINK Nursery...

Avery's nursery is almost finished...just s few little things we still want to do. Clint painted and put up the wains coating--what a talented daddy he is! Scott & Janell gave us the beautiful glider chair, and Sarah is working on a table skirt as we speak. (her first sewing project!)

Avery's door was given to us by "Papa" Calvert...it is an amazing piece of artwork that he made over 30 years ago for Ragan & Clint's baby room. It shows off many of the nursery rimes that we will soon be reading to our baby. We are honored to have this special door!

This CUTE rocking horse was given to Avery by her favorite "aunties", Liz, Ashley, Alison, Jenny & Shelley. We can't wait to see her climb up on it and follow in her mom's footsteps! :o)

Dinner with friends

We recently had some of our friends (Jeff & Steph, and Joey & Amy) over for dinner...and we were lucky enough to spend time with their little girls too! Here you see the beautiful little girls -- Hayley & Kate...we had a great time seeing them all. Hayley & Kate will be playing with Avery before we all know it :o)

Couple's Baby Shower

Our wonderful friends, Ragan & Jamie Weeks and Steph & Jeff Buice hosted a "couple's baby shower" for our soon-to-be baby girl. It was a wonderful night with many friends and family...and lots of great baby gifts for Avery!

Avery's Baby Shower

Sarah's friends hosted a beautiful shower for her and Avery on January 13th. Elizabeth, Ashley, Alison, Shelley and Jenny hosted the best baby shower ever! The decorations were amazing--there was a "diaper cake" (complete with 70 newborn diapers!), tons of pink roses, amazing food & desserts. Many of Sarah's friends & family came to help celebrate & gave such wonderful gifts for baby Avery.
