FTL277, A New Baby
Hi friends. I wanted to get this up in time before Natasha put up a new sketch. I did the same thing last week but never got the card up!
I am going to have a grandson in May! Can you believe that?! I can't. I'm all about baby boy cards right now and will be for a while.
I hope you enjoy this. More information and all of that other stuff is on my BLOG, including a video as to how I made this and as much as I try, I will never get one done in a decent amount of time. It's the teacher in me when I should just make the thing. Stop by and see me! Isn't this sketch and card too stinkin' cute?!
Be blessed.
Cindy

276!
Happy Friday!
I designed this sketch with the intent of using sequins. Sequins were one of those embellishments that when they hit the scene, all I thought was "really? what's so special about them". But then I picked up a rainbow pack and I found that they are a lot of fun to use on cards. They are just that little bit different from rhinestones.
Here's the sketch:
I have a super sparkly, glittery card for you this week. It's got to be when celebrating a milestone, right?
I used glitter, rhinestones, sequins, and metallic cardstock!
Supplies:
Stamps: Big Birthday Wishes
Ink: Black Onyx
Paper: Silver, White, Black
Accessories, etc.: By the Numbers dies, sequins, rhinestones, silver glitter

Happy Friday!
Today's sketch is a tad bit limited, but I am every bit confident that I will be blown away by all the creative takes on it!
I used the envelope punchboard and fiddled around with a few different sized pieces of paper until I got the general envelope size I wanted. I don't have the card anymore, but I believe I started with a 3.5x3.5 piece of paper to make my envelope. The hearts are from the PTI die set Love Lives Here.
Supplies:
Stamps: Love Songs
Paper: Kraft, Real Read, White printer paper
Ink: Dark Chocolate
Accessories, etc.: Envelope punchboard, Love Lives Here die cuts

FTL274, You Make My Days Brighter
Hi there crafty people. Natasha had another wonderful sketch for us this week. I say that every time I post, but it's true! I made a video for my card and you can visit me at Cindy Blancett Designs to watch the video if you would like. I absolutely mixed up my products, colors and real names, so a complete supply list is below. The biggest bummer, I totally forgot to dry emboss the top layer of my card with my impression plate. What a difference that would have made and completely have changed the look to the one I was going after. By the time I realized this, I would have had to start the card and video from the beginning again.
Don't you just love the look of the layered sequins? I do. I added these after I did the video. Avery Elle has THE BEST sequins out there. I love that there's blended colors in each package and 5mm and 6 mm sizes, making it so easy to layer them to make a terrific embellishment(s)! There's so many things that you can do with these sequins and best of all? They are extremely inexpensive with a large selection of colors and very well packaged.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today. I hope you have a great day!

Use an impression plate on the top layer for added dimension and depth.
Remember to keep the rule of 3/triangle.
Try using different shapes and a different color for your panel that you will die-cut and the image you will use on the top of your card, like Natasha did with her sample card. You can and should try using different but the same die-cuts. That would be fun.

Stamps: Heart-2-Heart #6, Happy For You (Papertrey Ink)
