116!

Good afternoon! Here's this week's sketch. The main idea is to use something besides a basic shape as your main layer. So- circles, rectangles, squares, and ovals are off limits. Many crafters have a plethora of other shapes to use. I have several dies from the Nestabilities Labels collection, among others! If you don't have any label dies, perhaps you have a stamp that can serve as a guideline to cut around. I ended up using the Top Note die on my card. I've always liked how the perforated border looked. I didn't end up following my sketch exactly. Because I wanted to use the ornaments from Vintage Ornaments (thank you to PTI for making dies to make this set SO much more user friendly!), and they are quite large, I had to rearrange my elements. Once I finished my card, I realized it's not that simple. However, the sketch itself is rather straightforward and it got me stamping! Supplies:
  • Stamps: Vintage Ornaments, Inside & Out: Holidays
  • Paper: So Saffron, White, Sweet Pea DSP
  • Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Taken with Teal, So Saffron
  • Accessories, etc.: Top Note Bigz die, Vintage Ornaments die, Diamonds Impression Plate, Baker's Twine
If you play along, feel free to leave your link!

  4. What terrific inspiration not only for a holiday card but to break out the nesties shape I don't use often anymore. I like the bright colors on the sample card.
