Rubber Dance April Challenge - Distress Oxides on Photopaper

I made a card this time and used a Distress Oxide background that was made on photo paper. It's a lot of fun. Especially when you layer the colours what I did by stamping the trees of the Carved Whimsy Wood stamps.

I want to share a tag today which was made for the Rubber Dance May colour challenge. You can join the fun here until Sunday.

I started with a gelli printed tag. To get some more interest on my background I stamped images from the Rubber Dance Pick a Number set randomly. The flowers and some more background textures are from the Textured Flowers set.

Today it's time for a new Colour Challenge over at the Rubber Dance blog.

After a very cold and rainy April here in Germany I am looking forward to a warm and sunny May! I can't see the grey sky anymore. It's frustrating!!! Here comes the theme for this month:

I created these two mixed media Artist Trading Cards. My base was gelli printed watercolour paper. I used different stamps to add interest to the background. The main images are from the set "Night & Day". You will find all the stamps I've used at the end of this post.

Rubber Dance Colour Challenge Reminder - Brusho Card

Hi everyone!!!

I'm sharing a reminder project today for the Rubber Dance Colour Challenge. Our scheme is one of my favourite colour combinations.

I've created a Birthday card with an embossing resist technique. I used the group of butterflies and embossed them with WOW! Clear Gloss powder. After that wet my watercolour paper and sprinkled it with Brushos. This is such an awesome and addicting technique. You never know how it'll turn out.
My focal point is the Butterfly Girl #1 . It's embossed with WOW! Primary Ebony on white card stock. I cut it out and adhered it to the centre.

Mixed Media Tag with STAMPlorations

Hi everyone!

It's time for a new mixed media challenge over at the STAMPlorations blog. I am sharing a mixed media tag today. My focal point is the gorgeous "smile" die cut from CUTplorations.
I started with a Brusho background and added some stenciling with PanPastels. After this was secured with a fixative I added a layer of clear gesso. I used a palette knife and white gesso to blend everything. I used flourescent acrylic paints for more colour.
I used STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge stamps for more interest. I added some more stamping after I added my die cut negative. Finally I used the Gelatos to add some greens and blues.

Challenge Reminder for Rubber Dance

Hello Crafty Friends!

There are two weeks left to join our January Colour Challenge. We picked a winter theme this time and we do love its glorious colours!

I created a mixed media tag with a snowy theme. The background is created with Gelatos and molding paste. I used different background stamps for some more texture. My sentiment is a mix from the Winter Wonderland's "let it snow" and a free printable from MixedUpMag. The birdie is a die from Die-Namites. I covered it with red Stickles glitter.I used some corrugated cardboard from DCWV to create a fence for my bird.
