Anything goes with PanPastels at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, Its challenge time at PanPastel UK and this time we want to see what you can create with your PanPastels!! Its an 'Anything goes' theme so there's lots of scope to play along to be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous goodies from our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands. I've made a canvas using the gorgeous A4 Butterfly Stencil and lots of PanPastels. You can find links to the goodies i've used at the end of this post :-)

I began by applying Maimeri Light Modelling Paste through the butterfly stencil with a palette knife and then added more LMP through a harlequin stencil. Once that was dry I added colour with my Pearl PanPastels, adding a little Ultramarine Blue for some depth. I sanded the background a little to lift some of the colour from the stencilling and then I sealed the colours with my own spray fixer made by diluting Maimeri Matte Medium with water (about 3 parts water to 1 part matte medium) in a spritzer bottle. While the spray was wet I dusted on lots of the gorgeous Course White Pearl Medium for loads of extra sparkle and shimmer.

I coloured two pieces of stampbord with my Pans and stamped the sentiments with Black Memento Ink and popped them on the canvas to finish off.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Creative Moments: Anything goes/ anything but a card
Deep Ocean: Anything goes
Jo's Scrap Shack: flowers and butterflies
Papertake Weekly: anything goes
Simply Create Too: no digis or stamped images
Stamps and Stencils: anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Go Grungy inspiration at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, how's your weekend going? Awful weather here so I've been having a play in my craft room and trying to pretend I don't have to go back to work tomorrow lol. I've sooooo enjoyed my week off but at least we've got another long weekend coming up next week so I've got something to look forward to. My project today is for our 'Go Grungy' challenge at PanPastel UK, you've still got a week to enter and our lucky winner will receive a fab prize of goodies from Premium Craft Brands.

I've made an 8x8 card, distressing the edges with Raw Umber shade panpastel and stamping a fabric texture stamp from Indigo Blu here and there. I used a sheet of copier to create a heart shaped stencil and popped that over my card blank before applying Maimeri Light Modelling Paste through a Pronty Stencil.  The LMP is coloured with a touch of Magenta PanPastel. Once dry I went around the edges with Raw Umber PanPastel

The little lady is a stamp from Crafty Individual stamped with versamark and then I applied more Raw Umber PanPastel and layered it up with a tattered angels butterfly. The ginormous sentiment is from Indigo Blu, stamped with Potting Soil Archival Ink, and then distressed with PanPastel.

I've added faux pearls, a seam binding bow, a little rose made from Light Modelling Paste in a silicone mould, the clay heart was left over from another project.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Brown Sugar: anything goes
Sister Act: anything goes
Sweet Stampin: No designer paper

Thanks so much for visiting today, have a great day and hope to see you again soon

Stencilling at Premium Craft Brands

Good morning folks and happy Sunday to you! This week at Premium Craft Brands Challenge we're having a few changes and our challenges are going to be every two weeks to give everyone more time to enter and to give us more time to share some top tips and tutorials. There are loads of exciting new products coming up too so all in all its a very exciting time in PanPastel Land!
Here's my inspiration project for our 'Stencilling' challenge

I found this long thin canvas at the Works, a real bargain and perfect for this project. I created my background with PanPastels, mixing the colours (you'll never guess which colours I used to make the purple shades ... Magenta and Turquoise! great fun as its like alchemy when the purples start to .emerge). I stamped here and there with an Indigo Blu harlequin stamp and versamark ink before brushing with some silver PanPastel.  I've used one of the gorgeous Pronty Stencils in the corners with Maimeri Iridescent Paste. The gorgeous stamps are from Lavinia Stamps, and I've added lots of stickles in various shades for some sparkle.

The Chipboard letters were coated with Maimeri Iridescent Paste and Pewter PanPastels, sprinkled with a little glitter and some blobs of rock candy crackle paint.

I just love love love this quote, my lovely friend Annie made me a beautiful note book with this sentiment and I just had to use it on this canvas. I've printed it out on the computer, cut it out and edged the words with glitter. The sentiment reads: Art is the only way to run away without leaving home and its by Twyla Tharp.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks: things with wings
Crafting for all seasons: Sentiment as the focus
A Creative Romance: Lets get sentimental
Divas by Design: rubber stamps
Tuesday Throwdown: anything with wings

Thanks for visiting today, have a lovely day

Good morning folks, how's your weekend going? I got loads of jobs done yesterday so I won't feel guilty having a lazy play day in my craft room today. I'm going through one of those phases where you start loads of stuff so i've got bits and bobs drying all over the house lol. As its Sunday its time for a new challenge at Premium Craft Brands PanPastel UK Challenge and this week we're using Autumn Colours on our projects. As always there is a fab PanPastel Starter set for our lucky winner from Berni our lovely sponsor at Your Creativity Store. Pop on over to the challenge blog and find out all the deets and of course check out my teamies fab projects too.

I've made a canvas for my DT project, its one of those projects that nearly ended up in the bin soooooo many times lol. I began by using Maimeri Light Modelling paste through a couple of different stencils, once that was dry I set too sticking all manner of bits and bobs on with Maimeri Matte Gel Medium - i've used die cuts, ribbon, bead string, some old earrings, some little square plastic tiles, gems etc etc.

Next I added a liberal coat of Maimeri Matte Gel all over and while it was wet I used a duster brush to sprinkle on PanPastels. I used all Autumnal shades - Phthalo Green, Yellow Green Shade, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber and then lots of Metallic PanPastels. I just loooooove the Metallic PanPastels!!!  Once it was dry I went over with my brush again, blending all the colours together to create a distressed metallic effect.

Lastly I added some black and then some Silver PanPastel to highlight all the texture, its so hard to get a decent pic as the Metallic Pans are so shimmery?

I added a sentiment to fnish off, I thought this quote was pretty appropriate lol, its from Chocolate Baroque and is one of my favourites.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
All Crafts: anything but a card
Artistic Stamper: alter something
Crafty Ribbons: anything goes with ribbon

Male theme at PanPastel UK

Good morning, we've got a new challenge starting at PanPastetl UK and this week we'd like to see projects with a male theme. As always our lucky winner will receive a PanPastel starter set from our lovely sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store so don't miss out :-). I don't have many male themed stamps, and love to create sea/sky effects so this was a great excuse for me to create a nautical card.

I began by created the background using a Pronty Alphabet Mask. I laid down some turquoise PanPastel and lightly brushed some Raw Umber PanPastel through it, I overstamped with some text. Next I created the little seascape using PanPastels in various shades of blue and turquoise. I cut a porthole shaped frame and added some dots of cosmic shimmer glue.
The Embellie was made using Maimeri Iridescent medium coloured with PanPastels in shades of brown, buttered onto one of my favourite stamps from the Stampman, I inked the stamp up with gold stazon first and  left it for a couple of days to dry

:

To finish off i've added a nautical knot using some string and an old button

Spirograph Mask and PanPastels

Good morning, folks and a warm welcome to my new followers.  Monday morning so I'm back at work, yuk!!!! but before I go I just wanted to share a card made for the recent Sensational Stencilling show on C&C. I've used the Pronty Spirograph mask for the background but unfortunately the pic hasn't picked up the detail.

I applied Ultramarine Blue PanPastel through the Spirograph mask with a duster brush and sealed with hairspray. The image is a digstamp from Sweet Pea Stamps, she's been coloured with Graph'It makers. To create the effect of transparent sparkly wings, I painted over her wing with Oyster Twinkling H2o. I've used blue card to mat and layer and added a little blue seam binding bow. The daisy was made by using Maimeri Light Modelling Paste in a silicone mould, coloured with PanPastels.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Anything goes at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, hope you're having a good weekend and enjoying the sunshine. For a change my garden is looking tidy (well if you ignore all the holes Barney has dug in the lawn) so I'm hoping the sun will shine and I can sit outside and read. I always think crafting outside sounds lovely but it never seems to work somehow, pens roll off to be eaten by Barney, the wind blows my stuff all over - you get the picture lol. Anyway I'm rambling on and I should be telling you about our new challenge at PanPastel UK where our theme this week is Anything Goes. As always our lucky winner will get a fab PanPastel Starter Kit from our generous sponsor Berni from Your Creativity Store

Its a nice easy theme so I've made a quick and easy card. I've use kraft card and one of the gorgeous Pronty Masks to create the background - Maimeri Light modelling paste through the mask , coloured with Permanent Red Shade PanPastel. I stamped the swirly heart (from Chocolate Baroque) on some more kraft card and embossed with WOW Vanilla White EP . I die cut the heart with a circle die and edged it with some gorgeous gingham trim from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I just loooooove gingham!! To finish off I've added some little heart shaped pearls in the corners and a heart embellie. I made the heart by using more light modelling paste, this time in a silicone mould and again coloured with Permanent Red PanPastel.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz: tons of layers
Crafting for all Seasons: Wedding or anniversary
Papertake Weekly: anything goes

Have a lovely day and thanks for popping by
