I began with a PanPastel background and stamped the tree using brown ink, the foliage in the top corner with green ink and then stamped the foliage in the foreground with a dark green ink, over stamping with the berried inked in red ink. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with a vintage gold ink.

Anything Creative/Mixed Media goes at We Love to Create

Good morning my lovelies, it's been another busy week at work so I'm enjoying a lazy weekend with a wee bit of crafting thrown in. My project today is for our 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' challenge over at We Love 2 Create. As always we have some lovely crafty goodies just waiting for our lucky winner thanks to our generous sponsor Premium Craft Brands and you don't have to use our products to play along!

I'd been looking through some old Craft Stamper mags for some inspiration and found a few techniques that inspired this tag. Seth Apter had created a gorgeous crackled background using Tinting base and acrylics so I had a go using my Pans and Tinting base.

I kind of thought my tag looked a bit like an old shed door so I added some grungeboard hinges, a key (again coloured with PanPastels). I stamped some Paper Artsy numbers here and there and added a shink plastic sign to my door, again using a Paper Artsy stamp. I added some grass to the bottom and some dotty flowers with white and yellow pens.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

A Perfect Time to Craft: anything goes
Artistic Stampers: Anything goes
Country View Crafts: blues and greens
Creative Artiste: Anything mixed media

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning my lovelies, my second post today and this one is my project for our Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes challenge at We Love 2 Create. Those lovely people at Premium Craft Brands have some lovely crafty goodies just waiting for our lucky winner and you don't even have to use our products to enter!

I've made a journal page for my DT project this time around. I began by cleaning my very gungy brick stencil that I 'd used on another project onto my page with a baby wipe. Its amazing how much texture paste is left on a stencil when you've finished using it. Once this was dryI added some colour with shades of brown PanPastels. I coloured the centre area with Bright Yellow Green and Shade PanPastels. I added some foamiran lilies that I'd made using stamps and dies from Sheena Douglass. I stamped the pink memento ink and then added colour with my Magenta PanPastel once I'd die cut the lilies. I coloured the bird cage and little birdie die cuts with PanPastels and then glued everything in place. The sentiment is from Indigo Blu, stamped with a mix of pink and green ink.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Everybody Art: Summer/Tropical
Fussy and Fancy: Anything goes
Wonderful Wednesdays: Anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Good morning again folks, my second post today and this card is for our Anything Goes challenge at Colour Crazy Challenge. Our sponsor this time is Lemon Shortbread and I've used their fab image Surfer Guy to make this card.

I've coloured the image with Graph'It markers and used PanPastels and some clear microbeads for the  background. The sentiment was stamped in red ink and I've simply matted and layered him on red and then dark blue card.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Card Mania: summer fun
Delicious Doodles: Beside the sea

Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create!

Good morning folks, well the weather is lovely here this weekend so I'm hoping to spend the day relaxing in the garden but before I go and enjoy the sunshine I just wanted to share a tag I've made for our Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes challenge at We Love 2 Create. We've got some lovely crafty goodies for our lucky winner thanks to our sponsors Premium Craft Brands and you don't even have to use our products to play along.

I cleaned my ledger stencil onto this tag when I was clearing up from another project, This one has glassy gel medium on and I was really pleased with the effect from the stencil, I just rubbed the gungy stencil over the tag with a baby wipe and it's created a really clear stencil effect. Unfortunately my rubbish photography skills don't show it too clearly lol. I blended Yellow Green PanPastel over the top, adding a little gold around the edges. Next I added some angel hair and some SnipArt which I coloured with gold PanPastel The leaves were die cut from kraft glassine, scrunched and then coloured with PanPastel Bright Yellow Green/Shade. The flower is made from Foamiran, I used the Blueberry colour (I think) and was quite disappointed with the colour as its quite grey in tone so it sat gathering dust in my craft room until I got out my PanPastels. I was really pleased with the way the Pans blended on the foam, I also used them to colour the stamens (I dabbed these on a versamark inkpad before applying the gold PanPastel.

I added a shrink plastic glittery butterfly and some eyelash trim to finish off.

I'm entering this tag in the following challenges:

Country View Crafts: things with wings
Craft for the Craic: handmade flowers
Go tag Thursday: In the garden
That's Crafty: anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Seaside or Summer Colours at Eclectic Ellapu

Good morning crafty friends weekend is here at last and can you believe that it's July already? That means it's time for a new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and our theme this month is Seaside or Summer Colours. My teamies have created some beautiful artwork to inspire you so pop over and have a look if you've got a minute to spare.

I've made another tag for my tag journal, it's filling up nicely now! I love to use kraft card for sea themed projects so I've cut a tag from kraft to make this tag. I've mainly used PanPastels for this little scene. I began by creating the sky using Ultramarine Blue PanPastel and some colourless blender. Then I sponged in the sea, using Phthalo Blue, Phthalo Green amd Ultramarine blue tint.

Next I created the waves using the same blues and greens but in the Shade/Extra Dark options. I used a pencil eraser to remove the colour where I wanted the clouds and the crests of the waves and then applied PanPastels in White, Fine Pearl Medium and added a touch of Paynes Grey to the clouds.

I stamped the sentiment (from Chocolate Baroque) in blue ink and the grasses in grey, added a little more colour with Bright Yellow Green PanPastel and some shadows with Paynes Grey. I added some details to the waves with a white posca pen and also added some tiny microbeads for the 'froth' where the waves are breaking.

I'm entering this tag in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps: summer/beach
Artistic inspirations: Anything goes
Ooh La La: Summertime
Shopping our stash: Lazy summer days
The Corrosive Challenge: anything goes

Anything goes or Red, White and Blue at Polkadoodles

Good afternoon folks, I'm having one of those days today so I'm running late with my post for our challenge over at Polkadoodles where the theme is 'Anything Goes', the DT have been challenged to use the theme of Red White and Blue so you can play along with that  theme too. As always our lucky winner will receive a fab prize from the Polkadoodles store and my teamies have some gorgeous projects to inspire you.

For My project I've made a vintage tag using the beautiful butterfly stamps from Bella Fleur and Belle Papillon sets, you can find them both here with lots of gorgeous coordinating dies and the most beautiful papers too.

I began by using Ultramarine Blue PanPastel on my tag, then somestencilling  with a script stencil and white fine texture paste. While that was drying I stamped my butterflies on watercolour card with white embossing powder and coloured them with Festive Berries distress ink.

I layered up some lace and a little red/white gingham ribbon then attached my butterflies with silicone glue. I added some faux pearls for a trail between the butterflies and applied glitter around the edge of the tag to finish off.

I'm entering my tag in the following challenges:

Artistic Stampers: winged things

Good morning folks, I hope you're having a good weekend. It time for a new challenge at  We Love 2 Create and of course our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes', you don't have to use our products to enter and our lucky winner will receive some lovely crafty goodies from Premium Craft Brands!

I've made another tag for my tag journal and used some of my favourite techniques with PanPastels. I began by blending Hansa Yellow, Diarylide Yellow and Hansa Yellow Tint over my tag. I stenciled the honeycomb with texture paste and then stencilled the rose with PanPastels. Next I applied a layer of glassy gel medium over the rose and added a layer of clear microbeads.

I added some drips of 'honey' with some yellow Viva gloss gel and while everything was drying set to making the other bits and bobs for my tag. The butterflies and bees are Chocolate Baroque stamps, I stamped them on acetate with Stazon ink and then glittered them on the reverse. The sentiment is also from Chocolate Baroque, stamped and then die cut with the smallest of the Polkadoodles Elegant Nest Dies. I coloured the centre of the diectu with more panpastel. Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning folks, it's a bit nippy here this weekend so I'm hoping to bunker up in my craft room and have a play. I've made another tag for my journal for our new challenge at We Love 2 Create where our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes'. My teamies have lots of inspiration for you and there's a fab prize of come gorgeous crafty goodies  from Premium Craft Brands lined up for our lucky winner.

I began by blending Magenta Extra Dark and Magenta Shade PanPastels over my tag, next I stamped using a script stamp from Polkadoodles and Memento Grey Flannel  ink. I stencilled the harlequin pattern using Maimeri Glassy Gel Medium and left that to dry. While it was drying I die cut the flowers, bird cage and foliage and stamped the images using the same grey ink. I coloured the images with PanPastels and a little water.

Once the stencilling was dry I added some die cut shapes, coloured with PanPastels and highlighted with Pewter PanPastel. I added a little aged silver frantage powder here and there. I used a little twine to attach the bird cage and charm and found a little rose in my stash to coordinate with the tag.

I'm entering my tag in the following challenges:

A Perfect time to craft: anything goes
Crafty Catz: anything goes/dies and punches
Incy Wincy: anything goes
Mix it up: anything goes plus stamping

Anything Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good moring folks, I've been having a play with my PanPastels and paints to make this journal page for our 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' challenge over at We Love 2 Create. As usual there are some lovely crafty goodies for our lucky winner thanks to our sponsors Premium Craft Brands and of course there's Top 3 honours up for grabs too!

I wanted to create the look of weathered copper for this page so mixed lots of  beautiful PanPastels quite randomly for my base layer (you can find links to the colours I used at the bottom of this post). Next I mixed some copper acrylic paint with Glassy Gel Medium and applied through a stencil. Once that was dry I applied a bit more PanPastel and then wiped most of the colour off the stencilling. Glassy gel medium is about the only thing I've found that gives a good resist effect with PanPastels.

It kind of started to go wrong from this point as I decided to add some of the beautiful Steampunk Cogs from Stamperia. I've never used these before and they are so lovely but they are on rice paper which I thought would kind of disappear like tissue does. Unfortunately it doesn't! I carefully tore around the images and applied with matte medium and was left with a white feathery border around the image  - not the look I was after at all so I just kind of went over them with PanPastels to try and blend them in a bit. I'll have to remember to cut the images out of the rice paper next time.

I dabbed versamark ink here and there and used some WOW Verdigris EP  to create some more weathered texture, I love this stuff, it looks fab in real life.

The butterfly is from Chocolate Baroque, stamped with versamark on acetate and them embossed with WOW Copper EP. I cut the butterfly out and coloured the back with alcohol inks. I used silicone glue to give the butterfly a bit of dimension.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

A Inky Mess: Anything Mixed Media Goes
Dream Valley: things with wings
Let's craft and Create: make your own background
WOW Embossing Powders: anything goes with WOW EPs

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon
