Let's feel it!

You may get a sense of deja vue when you look at this post lol, looks like bloggers gremlins deleted it so I'm trying again. Blogger is forgiven though lol as I've missed everyone so much and its so good to have blogger back :-)

Hello there, time for a new challenge over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog and this week Cynthia has a fab theme of 'Let's Feel it' so we want to see some texture on your cards :-)
We have a great prize for the lucky winner from our regular sponsor Chi Chi Memories too!

For my DT card this week I've combined 3 supercute images from Chi Chi Memories, thats a bit of an achievement for me as I'm a total numpty with anything technical. I eventually managed it and coloured the image with promarkers, for my texture element I added glossy accents to all the bubbles although it doesn't show too well in the pic. I added tumbled glass DI around the image with a shaving brush for the colour of the sea

I've kept the card pretty simple using some tangerine card for matting and layering and a bp from K&Co, adding some little tangerine eyelets in the corners of the image.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: use at least 3 stamps
Bee Crafty: Birthday challenge for little ones
Catch the bug: anything goes
Crazy Challenge: anything goes
Gingerloft: under the sea
Scrappy Frogs: Anything goes

Thanks for calling by today

In the Springtime with Rainbow Lady's challenge

Its time for a new challenge at Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog and this time we want to see your Spring projects. We're sponsored this week by our fab regular sponsor Chi Chi Memories, i've used this supercute image to make an Easter wall hanging using a large Decor plate from Caroline's Rubber Stamps and some paint fusion stamps from Sheena Douglass

I used gold ecogreen acrylic paint, pva glue and lemon emulsion paint to create the crackle background. I used the little rosebud border paint fusion stamp around the edges of the decor plate and embossed with Ranger Queens Gold EP. The leaves and rosebuds are painted with various acrylic paints from my stash as I still haven't got the ones Sheena uses. I coloured the cute little Easter chick  in his basket with promarkers and cut it our and matted it on a distressed doiley. I got the polystyrene eggs from The Works - 24 for 99p, what a bargain!! They are painted with acrylic paint and decorated with some sticky ribbon from my stash.

I'm entering my project in the following challenges:
Allsorts: Anything but a square
Floweret: Easter
Sugar Creek Hollow: Vintage Easter

Thanks for popping by, I hope you're enjoying some Spring weather, its really cold here again so I hope it improves for the weekend :-)

Best friends at Rainbow Lady's challenge

Good morning, time for a new challenge at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog and this week our theme is 'Best Friends' and we the DT were lucky enough to be able to use images from our lovely sponsor Chi Chi Memories.

The image is coloured with promarkers and I inked in a cloudy sky before attaching the buttons to make the number '3'. The bps are from my scrap box. I've used a MS border punch and scraps of ribbon for the border. I hardly ever use this border punch for some reason so it was good to give it an airing.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Catch the Bug: Anything goes
Craft your passion: anything goes
Creative Card Crew: No flowers
Fairytale Challenge: something for a child
Floweret: Play or child birthday party
Paper Sundaes: Stripes
The Crafty Pad: Use ribbon

Thanks for calling by. Its great kite flying weather here today, we're definitely getting our fair share of March winds :-)

Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week

This weeks challenge at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog is all about 'LOVE' and we are sponsored by the fab Chi Chi Memories who kindly gave the DT some supercute images to play with. Here's my card using two cute images and a sentiment from the 'Meaning of Love' set of digital stamps. I haven't used traditional Valentine's Day colours as I wanted to use lots of pretty spring colours in this card.

I printed the flowers our twice in a row and coloured with promarkers before adding some clouds with tumbled glass distress ink. The adorable little bird is cut out and attached on a 'n' shaped strip of acetate to make him 'fly' over the flowers. The ribbon is, as usual from Crafty Ribbons. The sentiment was cut out with a spellbinders die and attached with a couple of pink brads.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Catch the Bug: Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges: Valentine cards
Digital Tuesday: from the heart
I did it creations: Love is in the air
One stitch at a time: Anything Digi
Papertake Weekly: Have a heart
Sew Many Challenges: Anything goes

thanks for calling by,
Claire xx
