Fantasy Woodland

Good morning folks, today I'm sharing a little Autumnal canvas made using stamps from Chocolate Baroque.

I began with a brusho background and then stamped the trees (from  Fantasy Woodland) and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added some little dots of clear glue and created some foliage with beadazzles.

Next I took some brown acrylic paint and grounded the trees. Once that was dry I stencilled in some leaves using green acrylic paint and the Useful Leaves stencil. Next I added some falling leaves using the Seasonal Elements stencil and the word Autumn using the Seasonal Journey stencil and iridescent paste. Once the paste was dry I coloured the leaves and word with alcohol markers.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Allsorts: Trees/Leaves
Creative Artiste: Anything goes
Noor Designs UK: Fall colours
Thats' Crafty: Forever Autumn
The Crafty Addicts: anything goes autumn colours

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

It time for a new challenge at  We Love 2 Create and of course our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes', you don't have to use our products to enter and our lucky winner will receive some lovely crafty goodies from Premium Craft Brands!

I've made another tag for my tag journal and used some of my favourite techniques with PanPastels. I began by blending Hansa Yellow, Diarylide Yellow and Hansa Yellow Tint over my tag. I stenciled the honeycomb with texture paste and then stencilled the rose with PanPastels. Next I applied a layer of glassy gel medium over the rose and added a layer of clear microbeads.

I added some drips of 'honey' with some yellow Viva gloss gel and while everything was drying set to making the other bits and bobs for my tag. The butterflies and bees are Chocolate Baroque stamps, I stamped them on acetate with Stazon ink and then glittered them on the reverse. The sentiment is also from Chocolate Baroque, stamped and then die cut with the smallest of the Polkadoodles Elegant Nest Dies. I coloured the centre of the diectu with more panpastel. I added some cheesecloth and  twine to finish my little tag.

Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning folks, it's a bit nippy here this weekend so I'm hoping to bunker up in my craft room and have a play. I began by blending Magenta Extra Dark and Magenta Shade PanPastels over my tag, next I stamped using a script stamp from Polkadoodles and Memento Grey Flannel  ink. I stencilled the harlequin pattern using Maimeri Glassy Gel Medium and left that to dry. While it was drying I die cut the flowers, bird cage and foliage and stamped the images using the same grey ink. I coloured the images with PanPastels and a little water.

Once the stencilling was dry I added some die cut shapes, coloured with PanPastels and highlighted with Pewter PanPastel. I added a little aged silver frantage powder here and there. I used a little twine to attach the bird cage and charm and found a little rose in my stash to coordinate with the tag.

I'm entering my tag in the following challenges:

Crafty Catz: anything goes/dies and punches
Incy Wincy: anything goes
Mix it up: anything goes plus stamping

A message from Russia

Good morning my lovelies,  here's a large tag I made for the launch of the new Russian themed collection from Chocolate Baroque on Hochanda recently. You can find all the new stamp and some fabulous stencils here

I began by making a background using distress stains (Tarnished Brass, Vintage Photo, Broken China and Faded Jeans). I stamped here and there with  the beautiful Russian Exquisite Egg stamps but holding it in my hand so I just caught parts of the design and then embossed with gold embossing powder. I also added a little crackle with the crackle stamp using the same technique. I took one of the stencils and inked through it with a deep blue inkpad and then applied a layer of glassy gel medium. While that was drying I made the rest of the elements. I stamped Katya, again with dark blue ink and cut her out, I inked a post card from my stash and used one of the Silhouette Palace stamps and faux postage paper to make the 'stamps'.

Once everything was dry I assembled my tag, adding some flowers, pearl trim, charms, lace and ribbon from my stash.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Creative Fingers: Anything goes
Stamping Sensations: April - anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge

Good morning folks, we've got a gorgeous colour palette to inspire you over at Chocolate Baroque Challenge blog and today I'm sharing the project I've made for inspiration.

The colour swatch is gorgeous and I thought it was a great excuse to use one of the beautiful new stamps from Chocolate Baroque, this lovely lady is called Summer Fair and she's gorgeous some beautiful sisters too , you can get the full set here.

I've used an Oval Basewood Plaque for the base of my project. After a coat of white gesso I created a crackle effect background by applying a coat of red acrylic paint, once that was dry I brushed on PVA glue and then a layer of cream paint. Once that was dry I applied a mixture of Maimeri Iridescent Paste and Gold acrylic paint through a stencil and again left it to dry.

I coloured the focal image with Graph'It markers and cut her out before attaching her to the base. I've added raffia, dried flowers and a gingham bow topped with a paper poppy to finish off

Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning my lovelies, how's your weekend going? It's chaos here as usual with our 9 month old puppy Benji causing mayhem and destruction. He likes to help when I'm crafting too and sticks his nose in to whatever I'm making, yellow paint on paws is not a good idea lol. Anyway back to business and this morning I'm sharing a project for our new challenge over at We Love 2 Create where our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes'. You don't have to use our products to enter and we've got some lovely crafty goodies from Premium Craft Brands waiting for our lucky winner too!

I've altered an MDF Butterfly for this project, I began with a coat of white gesso and then applied Bright Yellow Green PanPastel. I used a Dutch Doobadoo stencil and added versamark with cut'n'dry foam before applying Bright Yellow Green and Yellow Green shade Pans. I cleaned the stencil and popped it back over to  use one of my favourite techniques for the background,.  I reapplied the stencil and them added Maimeri Glassy Gel Medium before removing the stencil and sprinkling over tiny microbeads

The flower and butterfly are both stamps from Stampendous, I used a sparkly EP and coloured with shades of Turquoise PanPAstels, adding little gems to the flower centres and layering them up with 3d foam pads. The sentiment is from Indigo Blu, stamped with Teal Zeal Memento Ink.
I added some gorgeous wired beads that I got in my January Craft Box

Allsorts: Butterflies

Good morning my lovelies, its our new challenge over at We Love 2 Create and as usual our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes'. You don't have to use our products to play along and our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous goodies thanks to our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands.

I've altered an MDF heart to create a summery project. I began with a coat of white gesso and covered part of the heart with a dictionary page, Once that was dry I used a Dutch Doobadoo rose stencil to create the roses down the left hand side using my PanPastels (links to colours I've used are at the bottom of this post). I sealed the colour with a little hairspray and then replaced the stencil and added a layer of Maimeri Glassy Gel medium. I removed the stencil, applied a layer of microbeads and left it to dry. Here's a close up of the lovely sparkle this technique creates.

Once that was dry I added the stamped flowers, usingFloribunda Net from Chocolate Baroque, coloured with PanPastels. The sentiment is from Rose Stem Script, also from Chocolate Baroque. I've using gilding wax around the edge of the hart.  I've added a little metal butterfly, some pearl trim, pink ribbon topped with a little button.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
