Good morning folks and a warm welcome to my new followers. Its lovely to 'meet' you.
Well its Friday (thank goodness) and time for a new challenge at Crafty Ann's where we've got a Tic Tac Toe challenge set by my lovely teamie Kym!

I've used Crafty Ann's Aga image with a cute little Tilda stamp for my card, both coloured with promarkers. You can find the Aga image here, its perfect with this stamp. I've used kraft card and a stripy bp from my stash and added raffia, gingham ribbon, lace a button and some twine. The pearls in the corners were made with cosmic shimmer glue. For a finishing touch I've made a little tattered pine cone too.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Creations: No flowers
Marvellous Magnolia: Pearls and lace

Right I'd better got, i've got the day off work but heaps to do. I seem to have been so busy at work lately the house looks like a bomb site and I've got a mountain of washing to do so that will keep me out of mischief for a few hours
have a good day

A secret mission!

Hi there, us girlies on the PanPastel DT are soooooo lucky :-) A few weeks ago we were tasked with a secret mission, to play with a box of the most scrumptious crafty goodies  from our lovely sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store. All we had to do was  see what we could create BUT (there's always a but isn't there lol) we had to keep it under our hats! Now you know what a chatterbox I am so this was no easy task, especially when I found that some of the new goodies were fabulous new marker pens  that nobody but us had got their mits on !!! oooooh how exciting, I've been bursting to tell lol

Graph'IT Markers aren't just ordinary markers, they are alcohol based markers that come in a nifty storage box in a really wide range of colours, nothing new there I hear you say well these markers have a very clever extra ..... the Mix'It Blending Palette. I was a bit baffled when I first got my paws on this as it looks like a little craft mat but you use it to blend your markers on and then apply them to your image with the blender pen. These pens are really juicy and blend wonderfully, the selection I received was a gorgeous mix of  colours but I was a bit flummoxed as there was nothing like a skin colour but ........ ta da!!!! With a bit of pink and orange and lots of blender Tilda has a lovely skin colour. It took a little bit of getting used to applying the colour with the blender pen but its soooooo much quicker than the usual way of colouring with alcohol markers. I found myself using the chisel tip for most of the colouring. I've always been a real promarkers fan but I think Graph'It pens are going to be my new favourites. They have a bullet tip and a chisel tip but the bullet tip is finer than with promarkers so better for detailed work,

The bps I've used for this card are from Tim's shabby papers, with some lace, flowers, pearls and seam binding from my stash.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Catered Crop: anything pink
Dream Valley : Something old, something new
Pile it on: Patterned papers
Poodles Parlour: here come the girls

Right I'd better get my skates on and go to work, don't you just love Monday mornings?? lol

Best of British at CD Sunday

Hi there, phew I was a bit last minute with my GDT card for CD Sunday this week but here it is. The theme is 'Best of British' and I've used a lovely backing paper from Artylicious cd 'Peacock Summer Party' for my card. I've also dusted off one of my favourite Tilda stamps and coloured her with distress markers. I've die cut her with nestie labels 4 and added glitter to give her tiara a bit of bling.

I've added ribbon, lace and flowers from my stash. The bunting was made with one of my current favourite stamps, from The Artistic Stamper, I coloured the stamp with distress markers stamped and cut out the bunting. I know I'm easily pleased but I do love this technique :-)

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting for all seasons: Patriotic/military/fireworks
Die cutting Divas: Red, white and blue plus a patriotic symbool
Divas by Design: red white and blue
Raise the bar: Red white and blue
SJ Papercrafts: red white and blue
Tilda's Town: your favourite Tilda

Sketch number 4 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Hello there, phew we've been having some lovely warm summer weather (although its the weather isn't playing nicely today lol) but its never to early to get ahead with your Christmas cards so why not pop over to Christmas Challenges {with sketches} and check out my lovely teamie Renata's gorgeous sketch for our latest challenge.

Here's my DT card but first you'll want to know all about our fabby sponsor. This week our lucky winner will receive a prize from Whiff of Joy, wow what a treat! I love WoJ stamps they are gorgeous so hop on over to the challenge blog for more details of the prize :-)

Right back to my card, I've used a cute Tilda stamp for this card. I have to say I don't often use my Magnolia stamps but I thought this little sweetie would be perfect for a Christmas card. I've coloured her wih my luvverly new Tria markers (a mega bargain from Letraset), I love them as they have a really fine tip as well as the usual brush and chisel nibs. Great news that they are bringing out a fine tip for promarkers, I'll have to invest in some of them.

Anyway back to Tilda, I cut her out and layered her up on a die cut (nestie labels 4) distressed with lots of vintage photo DI and a faux nestie cut from red card and again distressed. I added a little glitter to her star. The backing papers are from GCD 'Joyful Peace' collection, all have been distressed with my craft knife. I've added some red card from my stash and embossed a piece with a Stampers Anonymous music stamp. The ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts, all liberally glamour dusted. I also added a little star to match the star Tilda is carrying. I painted a grungeboard star with pale yellow acrylic paint and again added lots of glamour dust. Once it was dry I attached the star to a cocktail stick that I coloured with tea dye distress ink. To finish off I've added some red wired beads, a sentiment from Crafters Companion and some raffia lace and a little charm. Here's another pic to show the detail and hopefully the colours a bit better.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Bling it on: Anything goes
Dream Valley: Ribbon
Emerald Faerie Garden: Sugar and spice, all things girly
Gingerloft: add beads
Our Creative Corner: Christmas in July ( or 4th July)
Totally Tilda: Distressing
Tuesday Throwdown: Christmas in July
Winter Wonderland: Christmas buffet (I've chosen patterned paper, charm, buttons)

Thanks for calling by today.

I've also used one of Crafty Ann's beautiful images, Tropical beach watercoloured with distress inks and matted on a frame cut with a Marianne die. I've added a cute little Tilda, coloured with promarkers and some cream ribbon. The little satin flower is from my stash and the cute little cocktail glass charm is from the Craft Barn

A day for daisies

I've had a lovely start to my days off work, a little gardening and some crafting too. Here are a couple of cards I made this morning.

i've used a gorgeous freebie from 'A Day for Daisies' , coloured with promarkers and then sponged in the sky with Tumbled glass distress ink. The challenge at A Day for Daisies is dots and  stripes so i've picked out 3 bps from K&Co, one with dots, one with stripes and a floral. I've used this weeks sketch from Allsorts for the layout and added some lime ric rac, paper flowers and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Craft your passion: You've been spotted
Papertake Weekly: spots'n'stripes
Polka doodles: 3 patterned papers
Tuesday Throwdown: polka dots

I don't make many wedding cards but my neighbours daughter is getting married soon so I've made this card for her using Tilda and a bp I was lucky enough to win from Polka Doodles.

The image is coloured with promarkers and has glittery highlight and a microbead necklace and petticoat. For the layout i've used the sketch from Crafty Emma's Challenge. I've added some flowers from WOC, a couple fo Marianne die cuts, a little pink vellum and heart charm and some faux pearls. I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Let's Celebrate
Crafty Creations: Red, white and blue and/or a wedding card
Digi Doodle Shop's Best: glitter and glitz
Fab'n'Funky: Here comes the bride

Thanks for visiting, I hope you're having a good start to the Easter break.

Recycled CD for Bah Humbug

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is to use a CD, I always have loads of old cds laying around as my son is DJ and he gets through loads and loads of them. I decided to make a little hanging decoration with a cd.

The CD is covered with a bp from one of Joanna Sheens cds (I think, it was from a file of printed bps that I'm trying to use up so I'm not 100% sure which cd is was from). I sandwiched a doiley between the cd and the layer of bp on the back of the cd. I also wrapped a wide red satin ribbon around the cd and popped in a hanging loop before I covered the back of the cd (you don't want to know how many times I've forgotten to do this until after I've put the bp on lol)

I've added a Marianne die cut stamped with a Paula Pascuale greeting in red dye ink and cute little Tilda coloured with promarkers and glittered her wings and fur trim with some creamy glitter. To finish off I've added a big red bow and some red and gold stickles.

I'm entering this little project in the following challenges
Bah Humbug: Use a CD/DVD
CD Sunday: Get ahead, get a hat
Incy Wincy: Punches/die cuts
Top Tip Tuesday: Bling it on
Winter Wonderland: Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas
One Stitch at a time: anything but a square
The cheerful stamp pad: Anything but a card
Fresh Brewed Designs: Ribbons and bows

After all the hassle of decorating I've had a lovely crafty day and now hubby is cooking sausage and mash for tea! YUM SCRUM! I love sausage and mash :-)
I've been having an inky play making some backgrounds so after I've tucked in to my bangers I'll see how they've dried and maybe make a card or two.
