"Shy Tilda" Birthday Card

Well I can honestly say I never thought for one moment that I would be making any cards at all this week. I dont know whats come over me but I cant stop colouring!! So late last night when everyone was tucked up I took some time out and this is what I come up with. I'm pretty much a Tilda addict at the moment. You wont see many cards from me where the stamp has been coloured with dark tones. I'm pretty scared when it comes to shading and red is a colour I never usually use. But I love my new "Shy Tilda" and the warm colours on this card make this a real treat for me. I've coloured her with Copics and Polychromo Pencils. Got the set of 120 and hardly used them, and I've remembered to list the colours used. The Postcard Stamp is LOTV, papers are Basic Grey - Kissing Booth and made my own tag.
 I did make this card based on this weeks Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenges and as usual it will fit so many more so here they are;

Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Basic Grey Paper Brands
Wags n Whiskers - Say It With Flowers
Just Magnolia - Springtime
Cheerful Stamp Pad - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - Spring Blossoms
Kaboodle Doodle - Circles & Squares
Diva's By Design - Stamp Something
My Mums Craft Shop - Stamp It!
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Add a Sentiment

Well thats it from me for the time being. Cases to pack, house to clean and a bit of blog hopping.
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter Break.
We'll be returning on the 9th and as I'll have no wifi, will be straight to my computer

Well I cant remember the last time I made a card for a challenge of my choice. Magnolia Topper - OTT!! Comment problem fixed.......,..

SHOULD BE ABLE TO COMMENT NOW, I DONE NOTHING BUT SET TO NO COMMENTS ALLOWED - EEK.....

Hello everyone, today I'm showing my first ever topper and I think I went a bit mad, even my dining table wasn't big enough to cater for the amount of stash I got out to make this up!!!
I've used Tilda with Bow and coloured her with Copics. The paper is from the Prima Meadow Lark Pad, with Cheescloth ontop. I got the Elegant Edges Cartridge for my new Cricut yesterday and wow its fabulous, will also make wonderful shaped inserts. I've used of the it to extend my topper. Embellishment overload on this one using lots of different dies, flowers, punched butterflies and a small doily I bought the other day.
I last week decided to step down from my DT's. It wasn't an easy decision at all and I still have regrets, but crafting was being more of a chore than a hobby and I want to be able to have the time to work at my own pace hopefully with even better creations. Cant guarantee all the time but I'll try. lol  I've had a good old nose round blogland and gots lots of inspiration so hopefully my mojo will keep. Maybe because spring is looming and I feel so much perkier.
So maybe one day I'll go back to some DT's, but for the moment I'm happy being mum first and crafter second.

Heres some challenges I'm entering this into;
Bunny Zoes - Celebrations

Sweet Stampin DT Card

Yays its saturday and this is preposted as were away in Alton Towers with my hubbys brother and his family so wont be around this weekend. 6 kids and I think rain, but I'm sure we'll be enjoying ourselves.
This week over at the Sweet Stampin Challenge, its "Team Carrie's" turn and we have a fantastic sketch for you to play with. I have used one of the new Tilda's and coloured her with Pencils and Sansador. The backing paper is a new Mangolia one to and it was pure coincidence that these matched as I'd already coloured the image. Die cut with my Nellie Snellie Oval and added a Rose Viva Pearl Pens all around. Bazzill cardstock and the large MS Border Punch (forgotten its name now) behind the image and the MS Heart Border Punch for the Edges. Assorted flowers, all stickled, Pearl Gems, Pearl Bead Spray and a Sentiment. I've also stickler around the edges of the paper as I do like a bit of sparkle.

A slight challenge rule change. Please only enter a maximum of 2 entries from now on please.
I will be back in blogland Monday. All the kids back in school and hopefully a day to catch up.

Thats it for now.
Thankyou so much for stopping by my blog today and all the wonderful comments I've received on my last card. I love reading them all and just the boost I need when I've got brain freeze!
The rest of my teams have made beautiful cards to. I know they'd appreciate you taking a look.

Inspirational Card Sketches -DT Card

This weeks Inspirational Card Sketch is a fantastic sketch for you to work with. I looked threw a few Cricut Cartridges and cut this flourish from the Storybook cartridge. Tilda has been coloured with Copics, the papers are K & Co "Swell Noel" and have distressed both the bazzill and papers with a brown chalk in pad. Added jewels and a epoxy sentiment. Didn't want to smother this card as I felt the busy backing paper was enough for the eye.

This week Squigglefly is sponsoring the challenge and they have a prize of 3 images of the winners choice to offer one lucky person. Please do take a look at what my fellow DT's have made and I hope you can join us this week.

I have just got delivery of the SU Watercolour Crayons and Blender Pens. Wow, they work a treat and think this will be my colourng medium quite alot now. I've been experimenting with papers as I found that some will pile. I found that the Concord Record Cards work a treat. So my next post will be with this colour medium, oh, and watch out because I have BLOG CANDY coming this week!!!

Inspirational Card Sketches -DT Card

Hello again, sorry about the late posting of this card. I've been trying on and off all day but I just couldn't get the photo's to upload. Maybe my laptop has heatwave. Its another scorcher here today but I've been stuck indoors. Done 4 1/2 nonstop housework ready for a viewing, for him to be here for all of 5mins and most of the rooms he just poked his head round. So feel like it was a total waste of time and I am knackered. At least my house is gleaming of nothing else!

Today we see a new sketch over at the ICS challenge. Another fantastic sketch from Dawn. I inked up Tilda with Cat and coloured with Prisma Pencils and Sansodor. I just love using these pencils and I think I am getting better. Practice makes perfect I suppose.
The papers are BG Marrakech, just love the blue/orange combo, they blend so well together. Because the papers are quite fussy I chose to add just the flowers and centres for this card. No fancy borders or other embellishments, a case of less is more in this case. anyway, please do take a look at this weeks challenge and it would be great if you could join in to. The other DT's have great examples.

Squiggle stamps are our sponsor this week and there is a super prize up for grabs.
Would love to see what you come up with.
Have a lovely week and TFL!

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Piece / OSCC

Hello to all and welcome to another challenge for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge. Ida has set the theme and she has chosen a colour combo for you to use. I really enjoyed using these colours, fresh and vibrant and again I chose not to make a card but a hanging post it holder. I coloured Tilda with a mix of Copics and Promarkers and cut her out. I covered a piece of heavyweight card with papers from BG Gypsy and added milky gems and a strip of ribbon. Attached Tilda with Silcone and added lots of pretty flowers are her. Threaded some fibres but not sure if I'm happy with the colours, think something more subtle may be better so may change that. My 1st time at creating one of these, sometimes I like to experiment and ever better if it turns out OK. Do pop on over to the Cupcake Challenge as see what other beautiful creations the DTs have come up with.

I've not been around much this weekend and next week though I thought would be back to normal will be even busier. We viewed our dream home at the weekend so getting our property on the market is more urgent now as we need to sell in order to offer on this beautiful house. Its in a stunning location, massive kitchen and immacute condition. The 2 acres garden is ideal for all of us and I really dont want to loose this house so hubby managed to paint my utility room this weekend, even put up new shelves, I been working my backside off, tidying sorting and trying to keep the house in reasonable order so next week we will be getting estate agents in for valuations and fingers crossed will be on the markdet soon. Dont like this HIP milarky though, will delay the marketing of our house but just praying we sell quickly, keep all your fingers crossed for us please!!

Anyway, will be out and about today and entering this card into the One Stop Craft Challenge which is "Not A Card".
Thanks for looking and will be about most evenings so see your beautiful creations

Woo Hoo!!! It's finally here......LAUNCH DAY for Stampin' for the Weekend. Kimmi, Donna, and the whole Design Team of Amy, Ida, Jen, Nicole, Poppet, Vicki and Vanja and of course me, have been waiting for this day for ages.....and I do mean ages! LOL
For our first challenge entitled "From Dusk to Dawn", we're asking you to make a card or some other project using the color scheme of Purple and Yellow, a color theme not normally seen, but it does look gorgeous together. For this week, with it being our first challenge, Kim and Donna have put together a lovely prize with lots of crafting goodies and even chocolates for our first winner. So if you fancy your chances.....please join us. Look forward to seeing you over at "Stampin for the Weekend".

This is my piece. I have altered a clipboard. Could take ages for me to give you a full description so wont bore you with too many details LOL. I covered the edges of the board with Gold Leaf and painted the centre with Acrylic Paint and added Pee Wee Glitter while still wet. All the stamps are Magnolia and coloured Tilda with Promarkers. Papers used are BG Wisteria. An array of flowers, spacers and brads from stash and a few extra embellishments to finish. I altered a clipboard last year, the link for it is in my sidebar and I have to say I just loved making another. It is so pretty IRL.

This is just another view so you can see in more detail.

And this is even closer!!!!

I'm also entering this piece into 2 other challenges. I wish I could find the time to play in so many more but my challenge link list keeps growing and combining is the only way sometimes.
Mangolia Down Under has a "Moving to the Country" theme and Stamp With Fun is "Not a Card", (well thats for sure) lol.

Please do come and support Kim and Donna in their new venture. I know I have lots of wonderful blogging buddies out there who would love to play along, and we'd love to have you. Don't forget the fab prizes that will be on offer and we know you will love all the challenges. Remember to add "Stampin For The Weekend" to your sidebar and heres to week 1........

Just Magnolia / Inspirational Sketches Challenges

Good evening everyone, been an eventful day in one way or another. Postie bought me aload more cards since this morning post, then had to take Jessica to Doctors with Tonsilitis and I think she's passed it on but am trying to push it to the back of my mind today. I managed to make this card for this weeks Just Magnolia which has a Pink/Green theme and Inspirational Sketches which has a gorgeous sketch to folllow this week. The backing paper is Bearly Mine Designs Extreme Vol 1 available HERE. My new Tilda stamp, (my favourite atm) which I've coloured with Copics. Not done black hair before so this really was trial and error, used 3 shades of grey and kept layering and blending. The swirls and leaves are done with my gorgeous punches and used my new Martha Stewart punch that I received yesterday. SU punches used for the sentiment. Really enjoyed putting this card together and love the way it has turned out.
I'm off out for a meal shortly, the village pub which is at the end of our road do the best food so hubby has booked a table for all of us. I have such a long list on peeps to thank, would take forever so will say Your Cards Were gorgeous and I'm a very lucky lady to have such wonderful friends, Thankyou.
Have a lovely evening and again thankyou so much for helping me celebrate my birthday.

Multi Challenge Card

Just a quick post from me, I managed to find the time to make another card. As its such a nice day, I took the picture in the garden, dont know if it makes the piccie any better but I had the David Bailey in me LOL.

The papers and new from Ally Pally, My Minds Eye. Tilda is a newbie to, off the web, just haven't had time to ink her up. Coloured with Copics, have a added flowers, punched leaves and a sentiment from Autumn Leaves. Woodcare border punch and have gone around the edge of image with "Field of Sky" stamp, bought this years ago and love it for backgrounds. This turned out to fit in with 5 challenges, which was not my intention, I just based it on a sketch and worked with the papers.
Scrappy Frogs - Spring
Stamp Challenge - Showers or Flowers
One Stop Craft Challenge - Something New
Colour Create - Orange, Green and Brown

Anyway, off to dish up our dinner, catch you later!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - DT Card

Saturday already, where has this week gone?? Its Ally Pally this weekend, my usual haunt but doubt I'll get there as hubby is working probaby both days. Is that a good thing though? To him, obviously!! To me, its like someone dangling carrot you know LOL. Anyway, back to this weeks challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this week the theme has been chosen by the lovely Jill and its to "Create A Scene". Got my Magnolia's out for this one and used an A5 sized card for a change. I do crave Tilda at times. Coloured with Copics, I cut Tilda out and used silicone to sit here on fence for a bit of dimension. The papers are BG and used a Brown Bazzill to matt. Pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the other DT members have made and we'd love it if you could take part. All entries go into a monthly draw to win a voucher to spend at Wendy's shop. Going to get the chores out of the way and have a play later. I want to try colouring with Copics and Prisma's, seems silly that one of them ends up being shelved so would like to try and combine the two. I'll post the finish piece (if its any good) and give you my opinion of this technique. Have a lovely weekend. School runs approaching, at least the weather should be on the up, though thats debatable in this country (Haha).

Multi Challenge Easter Card

This card I based On Sketch Saturday as I loved the Layout but as so many challenges are Easter Themes, it turned out to be a multi challenge card.

I chose a masking theme the other week for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and really enjoyed it so chose to try this technique again as I dont do it often enough. I used Tilda and the Wagon Of Eggs from the spring kit and a Magnolia background scene. I stamped Tilda onto cardstock. Stamped another image and masked tilda. Then stamped the wagon, slightly overlapping. Masked the wagon and having Tilda still masked stamped the background over the 2 images. Then coloured the whole thing with Copic Markers. The Backing Paper is from American Crafts, the border bunch is Martha Stewart and the Flower is made with Papershapers Reto Punch. The swirls are also Papershaper Swirl punch available from The Hobby House. Added my favourite gold leaves and small rosebuds to finish.

I really enjoyed making this card, its nice and colourful and I'm happy with the way the scene has turned out. But like I said its a multi challenge card and I have entered it into 6. Could have been more! I add any new challenge sites to my sidebar and update my list everyday so here it what I am entering this card for:
Dutchdare - Easter
Sketch Saturday - Followed the Sketch
The kids are behaving and Jessica breaks up today for 1 week so I can hopefully get at at least 1 lay in and lots of crafting. Have a great week and my heartful thanks to the amount of peeps who have left comments on my post below, think thats a record amount for me.

There is a new chllanege blog out there for all you SU Fans called Stamp with Us and this week its a sketch. I've left my card quite simple and need to add something on Tilda's hand so will do this at a later date. Coloured with Copics and used my new nestabilities. The papers are SU "Summer Picnic & Rose Red". My SU Collection is slowly growing LOL. Flowers are Prima and added a spacer with brad and doodled some stitching around the edge. This card also meets with One Stop Craft Challenge which is Stitching.

Secret Crafter DT Card/LOLV & Spoonful of Sugar

This weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has been set by Julia and her chosen theme is "Stitching". Even though I own 2 sewing machines, I'm totally useless and cant even set them up so had to rely on Rubber Stamps for this one. I have stamped the border and around with image with the same stamp. Coloured Tilda with lamb with Copics and H20's. A mix of papers, Martha Stewart Border Punch, and other bits and pieces from stash. Please do try and join us in this weeks challenge and see what the other DT members have made. Remember you will be entered into a monthly draw if you enter the challenge to win some goodies at the Secret Crafter Shop. I'm also putting this card in for 2 other challenges Spoonful of Sugar (Easter) and Lilley Of The Valley (Easter). I very rarely set out to make a card for multi challenges, but as you can see by my sidebar, with the amount I have its inevitable that certain cards will meet multiple challenges.
Have a lovely weekend, some crafting for sure but nothing else planned at the moment!

Friday Sketcher

I loved this weeks Friday Sketchers. Not done a sketch like this before so was a challenge for me. I used Tilda with Rose and Valentine Scrirt stamps. Normally when colouring with Copics, I use the pen direct to paper, on this occassion I put the colours on an acrylic block and picked them up from there. The difference is amazing, alot more time consuming bit the overall finish is so much better.

Backing papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and Laura Ashley. The Flower is Prima and I have added some wire ribbon, rafia and a copper brad. A Metal Butterfly brad and the 3 ladybird embellishments. The die cuts where done with my Cricut.
Will defo be using my Copics again with this method, great for shading!
Enjoy the rest of your week.

"Tilda with Rose" - Dutchdare

This card is for this weeks DutchDare Challenge which is to use 3 flowers on your card. Its the first time I've used this stamp and my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge, and both have the Wow factor. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansodor. The backing paper on the card is the new download from Making Handmade Cards. I cut out the piece above the image and the trelis with my Storybook cartridge, I think this is one of my favourite cartridges now as it has great elements on it! Other products used SU Scallop Punch, Ticket Stamps, Prima Flowers and brads.
Sorry for being a bad blogger lately. What with loosing my connection and been generally busy with other things, crafting seems to have taken a back seat though I would really like to get back ontop of it now! Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up with you soon!!
