My card is created on a Basic Gray card base.  I used a bright pink textured piece of card stock that I found in my stash for the top layer.  It was cut using  the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Frame die.  The poinsettia was stamped in black ink on Smoky Slate card stock and white card stock.  The poinsettia is from Altenew Build A Flower:Poinsettia.  I colored the top poinsettia with 3 shades of red Copic Markers.  The poinsettias were cut using the matching die.  I adhered the red poinsettia  with dimensionals and turned it to make the Smoky Slate one look like the leaves.  Wink of Stella and a few sequins were added for shine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set. It is stamped with black Versa Fine ink.

With Sympathy FMS312

November 10, 2017

I had a few extra minutes so, I wanted to play along with the lovely ladies at Freshly Made Sketches. I love the sketch this week because I am all about "square" cards.

A few weeks ago, I was driving through Alabama on the way back from the beach with girlfriends.  All along the way we saw beautiful fields of cotton.  I knew that I had to buy this stamp from Altenew.  It is called Cotton Comfort.  I stamped and then shaded the cotton with Copic Markers and cut is out using the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added for shine.  I used a white card base, Early Expresso background and Crumb Cake for my top layer.  I stenciled the top portion using Memento Cocoa ink.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  A few sequins were added to complete my card.  I think this card will be comforting to the recipient.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

A huge THANK YOU to all the Veterans!  SO proud to be an American!

You Are The Best--#tttc022

November 2, 2017

It's time for a new challenge at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

We have a fantastic board for all of you!

We would love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board above, using three elements in a row of your choice. Whatever row inspires you is what we challenge you to create! Don’t forget to link back to us, and to use our hashtags #tictactoechallenge and #tttc022

I am playing with the last column: layers, friend, heat embossing.

My card is created on a black card base.  I cut a layer in black and one in Kraft using the Penny Black Antique Frame dies.  I mounted the black one with diminsionals to create a 3D effect. I used the Altenew Cotton Comfort stamp set and matching dies for the cotton.  I absolutely love this set.  Driving to FL last week, I saw so much cotton growing in Alabama.  It was so beautiful!  It inspired me to create this card.  I colored the cotton and stem with Copic Markers.  I added Wink of Stella to the cotton for shine.  The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Black Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  A few black sequins were added to complete my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, please pop over and see more inspiration from the rest of the Tic Tac Toe design team and I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!

Have A Wonderful Birthday-- PP355 and SSC 158

July 30, 2017

It's hard to believe that July is over and all the children will be back in school in the next few days.  Summer just flew by!

It is time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

I am so excited that I could combine these two challenge this week.  I am in Indiana to see my niece star in Grease.  She is playing the role of Sandy.  I am so excited!  She is sooo talented and we are very proud of her!

The fabulous Joanne is our hostess this week at The Paper Players!  She has a Tic-Tac-Toe board for us to play along with!  WOW--so many possibilities!

Sunday Stamps is featuring my sketch.  I thought it would be fun to make square cards this time.  You know, "It's Hip To Be Square!"

My card is created on a white card base.  I added a yellow and white gingham background and used a coordinating plaid for the rectangle strip.  My sentiment is stamped on a white stitched square.  My flowers are from Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set and the matching dies are used to cut them out.  I used the Altenew Cool Summer Night inks.  The leaves are from the same set.  I added two banners from the matching DSP to complete the sketch.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for fun.  My Tic-Tac-Toe row is the top row:  die cut, banner birthday.  Have fun and we can't wait to see what you create!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Mother-- I Love You!---PP #342

April 30, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely Jaydee is the hostess this week and she has a fabulous Tic-Tac-Toe board for all of us to play along with. This is my favorite challenge.  There are always so many creative entries.  I love the variety of cards when there is a game board.  Have fun!

My card is created using the middle column.  (Sequins, Die Cut, Yellow)  I had so much fun making this card for my Mom.  I know she will love it.

My card is created using the Neat and Tangled Doily Envelope Die.  I must admit, it took me several times before I got the die cut out, but oh, was it worth the effort.  It is beautiful!

I trimmed a yellow piece of card stock with the MFT Blueprints 20 Die and then cut the top white panel using the same die set.  The roses and leaves were stamped in Memento black using the Altenew Penned Rose stamp set.  The sentiment is also from this stamp set.  I stamped the rose three times and colored it with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut layers so the rose looked dimensional.  I stamped the leaves twice for the same effect.  Wink of Stella and sparkling clear sequins were added for fun.

When I was finished I wrapped yellow twine around the envelope and added a big white button to seal the card.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Happy Birthday To You!--PP #341 and SSC151

April 23, 2017

I am back from a wonderful trip to Aruba.  It was such a beautiful island.  The water was gorgeous and the time away refreshed my soul.  This was the view from our room.  Breathtaking!

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

The lovely Sandy is our hostess this week at The Paper Players.  Her sketch is fabulous and very versatile.  So many possibilities!  Since I was gone all week, I combined this sketch with the lovely color palette at Sunday Stamps!

Please make sure to use at least 3 colors from the color for Sunday Stamps

My card is created on a white card base.  A rectangle strip of green wood grained card stock was used for the background.  I cut the green square with a stitched die.  The lily is stamped in three shades of yellow using the Altenew Layered Lily stamp set.  I used 3 shades of green ink on the leaves.  The leaves and flower were cut out using the matching dies.  I stamped the sentiment in black on a banner cut with a stitched die.  Clear enamel dots were added to resemble water droplets on the flower.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

Sending Big Hugs!--PP303

July 10, 2016

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  We have a fabulous color combination for you this week!  The multi-talented Nance is our hostess!

I must admit, these colors threw me for a loop!  I made six cards before I was happy with my entry.  I just couldn't make my ideas come together!  So, I am excited to see all of your creative ideas with these colors!

My dear friend's mother fell this week and I wanted to make a special card for her.  I hope it will brighten her day!

My card is created on a white card base.  The Mint Macaron layer is next.  I don't use this color often, but I really like it!  The top layer is watercolor paper.  I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die to cut the rectangle.  I stamped the Altenew Beautiful Lady stamp with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I used a water brush and Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron inks to watercolor the flower, stem and leaves.

Island Indigo ink was washed around the outside of the flower.  I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Big Scripty Greetings in black Versa Fine.  Wink of Stella was added to the flower and leaves for shine.  A few clear sparkling sequins were added from Pretty Pink Posh.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!

Sending Hugs and Prayers--The Challenge #61

February 22, 2016

It's Monday and time for a new challenge at The Challenge!
This week we have a very beautiful inspiration photo for you! We can't wait to see what you create!

A few rules to keep things fun and fair!
1. Use the challenge to create a card.
2. Please add the challenge graphic to your blog post (copy and paste).
3. Have fun and comment on the submissions of others.
4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. Please only link to 3 other challenges plus our challenge for a total of 4 challenges.
6. Have fun!

My inspiration came from the wooden kitchen island, the white flowers and the green in the cake stands.  I wanted to incorporate the pink from the refrigerator, too, so I added pink behind my main panel.

I stamped the hardwood stamp from Stampin' Up! with white pigment  ink on a Crumb Cake background.  I distressed the sides with a distressing tool and sponged the edges with SU Early Expresso ink.  The flowers are from Altenew-Peony Scrolls.  The flowers were stamped with Versa Fine ink on Nennah Solar White paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added some C1 Copic Marker and used the blender pen to create the dimension.  The matching dies were used to cut out the flowers.  The leaves are stamped using the Altenew-Vintage Flowers stamp with Mint Macaroon and Coastal Cabana inks.  The matching dies were used to cut out the leaves.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped the words in Early Expresso ink and cut out the word prayers using a Winnie And Walter-The Big, The Bold and Comfort Cutaways die.  I cut it out in pink first and then used a chipboard piece and cut it out again to layer the sentiment.  Wink of Stella and sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for shine.

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!
