Ink Blending.

The challenge over at the Flickr blog this time is "Ink Blending" and its not one of my favourite crafting techniques, mainly because I always struggle to blend the colours with out a marked line.  So I challenged myself to have a go !!  I know these are Autumnal colours but its so cold here today I needed to use  these warm oranges and yellows!  The dies are both by Simon Says, I am pleased with the blending and am off to have another play!

Hope its warmer where you are.

Fun in the Sun!!

This weeks Wednesday challenge at  Simon Says is "Fun in the Sun" and  its also the challenge at the Simon Says Flickr Group so I made this card with the challenges in mind!  I stamped and embossed in white the SSS Star Flower Background and blended over Cracked Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress inks to give the impression of the sunshine.  I then die cut with the Wonky Rectangle Die and added the glass of lemonade. (This is from an older SSS set called "Lemonade")

Lastly I added a few gems for added sparkle and the sentiment was cut with my Silhouette Machine.

Have a great day

Lots of Splatters!

I am keen to improve my watercolouring so decided to ink up this lovely Painted Poppy stamp from Altenew.  I used Distress ink and then smooshed with water, I also added some blue and then splattered ink onto the page.  The sentiment is from Simon Says.

I am adding this to this weeks  Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Splatter It"

The weather has improved a lot here today, no rain and the sun is out, time for a spot of gardening.  Enjoy your week.

A Floral Birthday.

I have had more time to play with my new stamps from Honey Bee Stamps, this set is called "Country Blooms" and I can see its going to be a favourite.  The stamps give lovely clear images and are great for colouring.  This time I have used my Zig Waterbrush markers, then I have fussy cut the image and added it to the oval frame.  The background is created with Distress ink and wax paper.

This card is for two challenges, "New Something" over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.   and the "Anything Goes" challenge at LOVE handmade cards FLickr group.

Hope you are having a great week and its not too cold where you are.

More Snowflakes

While my Hero Arts "Snowflake Dies" were on my desk I decided to have another play using a background I had made using this Gina K "Waxed paper resist technique".  After ironing the waxed paper I used Peacock Feather distress ink to make this, I then cut with an Avery Elle die.

Next I positioned the snowflake dies and held in place with some washi tape. I then added the sentiment stamped, gold embossed and fussy cut using the Hero Arts"Holiday messages and frames "set.
I am adding this card to two challenges Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Totally Resistable" and the Hero Arts "Holiday Cardmaking" challenge.

I am off back to Surrey this weekend to see a show with my best friend, celebrating her Birthday.  We are seeing a dancing show featuring ex dancers from Strictly Come Dancing and I am very excited!!  Hope you enjoy your weekend.
