Flowery cards!

After seeing all the fabulous cards posted using the Altenew " Beautiful Day" stamp set I knew I had to have it.  At last it has come and I couldn't wait to ink it up.  For this first card I have stamped and embossed in gold and then fussy cut all the images.  I then stamped the flower with distress inks and coloured the remaining elements with Copics.  The sentiment die is by Simon Says. I am really pleased with this stamp set and know I will be using it loads!!!

I am adding this card to three challenges, the first at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "For a Special Lady"  The second is the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge#66  "Colouring" and lastly the Flickr Group Love Handmade Cards "Spring" Challenge.

For the second card I have stamped onto water colour paper and coloured with my Zig Markers, again the sentiment die is by Simon Says. This card is also for the Simon Says Flickr Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

It really is Spring like here today the sun is shining and its a beautiful day,so I thing I shall be in the garden this afternoon.

Have a great weekend.

More Poinsettias!

I have been having fun practicing my colouring skills while taking part in Kathy's 30 colouring challenge.  This Hero Arts Antique Poinsettia stamp is perfect for practicing using my Copic markers.  I am enjoying this challenge, so I decided to used my coloured image to make another card for the Virginia's View challenge which is using plaid or stripes.  As you can see I have carefully partially cut an oval from this card then fussy cut round my stamped image.  I have then used some plaid patterned paper in the background and made a shaker card.  The sentiment is cut with my Silhouette machine. I am also adding this to the current Hero Arts Challenge "Holiday Cards"  and the ABNH "Holiday themed challenge."
