Christmas Tags!

I haver just got the Chunky Trees and Holly dies from Simon Says and knew they would be the perfect size for my my gift tags.  Die cut and inked with the distress Oxides the background rectangles. I then splashed with some white gouache and let dry.

Next I made up the two solid trees with Gold and Silver glitter card adding red gems for more sparkle. I also die cut two of the open trees and glues to the background card.  I then foam taped the glitter trees to the card for some depth.

Lastly adding some tinsel ribbon to the top.

I am adding these to both the Flickr Simon Says Challenge and the Love handmade cards challenge, both "Anything Goes".

Doing my last minute makes before Christmas, just hoping the lockdown rules don't change here today and I can still see my daughter and son next week..

Crafty weekend!

Luckily most of my Christmas prep is done so I have found time to do some crafting, first up is these tags, just needed a couple more for my gifts and these were super easy.  Just die cutting a little stamping and some Nuvo drops. I bases these on some cards I have made using the Simon Says Stitched Scallop Die and Hero Arts Canvas Stripe stamp.

My second make is this wreath, I saw one very similar in a local shop and it was quite expensive so decided to make it myself.  I love the finished result.

Lastly I made this Birthday card for a friend using a Hero Arts stamp and Zig Markers, just added the sequins for a little sparkle. Made a similar card a while back as a Thank You card and I loved the pretty colours so used the design again for a Birthday.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend .

Another Tag!

We are still busy decorating so crafting has taken a back seat for a few days but I did have time tp make another quick Tag for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge.   This die is new to me so I am having fun experimenting with it, again this is a very simple design, I just layered up the die cut with some glitter card.  Decided on a round tag this time and added a pop of colour with the red bows.

Just a short post as I have to get back to the painting, have a great Sunday.

Flower Tags.

I wanted to take part in Kathy's 30 Day Colouring Challenge but am a little behind already, I have made two tags, this first one using the Honey Bees Country Bloom set and coloured with Zig Brush Markers. This is for Day one of the Challenge.

For Day 2 I have used the Simon Says Spring Blooms set again, this really is my favourite set at the moment its so versatile.  Its stamped and embossed in gold and coloured with Zig markers.

I shall also add these tags to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Tag your it" and also two challenges over at flickr, Simon Says "Colouring" Challenge and Love handmade cards "Spring "Challenge.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend, we are having spring like showers then sun  today.  Spring is definitely on its way.

Christmas Critters!!!

When I saw this weeks challenge at Simon Says "Christmas Critters" I struggled to think what to do, I am not really into cute animal images.  Then I remembered this old Penny Black stamp that I have had for ages. A really sweet image and perfect for a shaker card.  I have stamped and coloured with Zig Markers and then using some Avery Elle dies have created this very simple shaker card.

I was so pleased with the end result that I decided to have another go, this time making a parcel tag and just adding some ribbon and bells.

Love how this turned out and I love my new Zig water brush markers, so easy to use, I am addicted!!

Hero Arts Scramble

On Saturday afternoon while hubby was watching sport on TV  I had an hour or so to spare, so I took part in the 90 minute scramble over at the Hero Arts flickr group.  Its been a while since I took part in one of these but the timing was right so I had a go.  Heather set the challenge, which was to make some tags and used a recycled item on the tags.
I had time to make two entry's, the first was fairly simple as I had all the stamps still on my desk after making these cards.  My recycled items are the tiny foam stars at the tops of the trees , I rescued these from a card I received last year. ( I am always saving bits off cards and presents)

The second tag uses a background cut from a card that I made and didn't send as I didn't really like it!  I rushed this one too finish in the 90 minutes and the coloring on the Santa is not really up to scratch!

I am going to add these to this weeks Wednesday challenge at Simon Says.

It was fun taking part and I have some tags made ready for Christmas!

Snowmen!!

Just a quick post today with a couple of tags made with my new Hero Arts Snowman stamp set and die.  I have been after this set for ages after seeing all the fabulous creations on the HA flickr site.  Its been really hard to find both the stamps and the die in the UK but at last the lovely lady at my local Stamp Shop managed to source them for me.  These sweet tags are the first inkings of my stamp and I am thrilled with them.  I have paper pieced the scarf and hat bands and added lots of glitter,  The hat has been coloured with a Sakura Glaze pen for added shine and I have added Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose.

I am off to play some more,  hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for looking!!
