More Pillow Boxes!

I needed a couple more boxes for some smaller gifts so cut some more pillow boxes with my Silhouette machine.

Cut the first one in Kraft card and added the white band, which I die cut using an older Memory Box die, I thought they looked a bit like snowflakes.  Added some pearls and the red gingham ribbon before adding the tag with added snowflakes.

For this second box I have used some stiff patterned paper for the base and have added a peach band and some layered up glittery snowflakes.

That's  most of my presents bought and wrapped now and my cards are all but finished.  I really need to decorate the house now but we are busy painting the hall so it will have to wait for a few more days.

I am adding these boxes to the current challenge at Simon Says Wednesday blog.

Baby Girl

I needed to make a card for my cousins daughter as she is expecting a baby girl soon so I decided to make a shaker card and combine it with the current challenge over at Simon Says.  The front of the card is cut using a design from the Silhouette , I then added some acetate to make the shaker section. I had kept the card quite plain but decided to add the sequins as an after thought, It adds that extra sparkle. I am also adding this to the challenge at A Blog Named Hero which is "A Bit Of Sparkle."

Here is a close up of the shaker section.  I am now off to make a get well card for a man, always a difficult one, I shall have to get some inspiration from Pinterest for that one!!

Still making Christmas Cards!!!

Well two weeks till Christmas and I am still making cards and tags, I think this is the last now although my daughter might have other ideas as she usually gives me a last minute order!!  This card is a really simple CAS design with a die cut word using my Silhouette and the Hero Arts snowflake stamp embossed with silver.  I am adding this card to the challenge at Virginia,s View.

This second card is made using an image I found online, I have just coloured with Copics and added lots of glitter!!

Now for some last minute tags again using my Silhouette machine and lots of glitter card. So simple to make , I am adding these to the Simon Says blog Wednesday challenge,

After making all the cards it was time to bottle up the Blackberry Gin I have made for Christmas, a little over that didn't fit in the bottles so a little sample for me!! Cheers!!

Butterfly Shaker Card.

After seeing Lucy's card on the Hero Arts Blog I was inspired to make another Shaker Card, this time using a Hero Arts Silhouette Butterflies cut file.  I re sized the image and cut from some Bo Bunny paper. The background patterned paper is BasicGrey and the Hello word die is also Hero Arts.

A simple but effective design!

I am adding this to the "Nature Challenge" over at the Hero Arts Blog. Also the "Girly" challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday challenge bog.

Yeah its Friday, hope you all have a great weekend!!

Shake it 2

I am enjoying making Shaker cards at the moment, so here's another entry for the Wednesday challenge at Simon Says!!  I used my Silhouette machine to cut the balloon window in some white cards stock.  I cut the image again and coloured the balloons with Copics then adhered them to the cut image.  The base card just has a piece of patterned paper attached for the background to the window.  I added loads of sequins as its quite a large window and I wanted lots of sparkle!!
I am also linking this card to the Die Cut Challenge at Virginia's View.

The sentiment is cut from this new die from Poppy Stamps.

My DD went to Glastonbury last week and managed to bring home a nasty summer cold with her, unfortunately the whole family has now caught it and we are all suffering!!  Hopefully we will all be better for the weekend as we are hoping to go to a Lavender Festival held locally!

Enjoy your week.

Three new cards!

I have had more time in my craft room to play with my new stamps and dies, I made this card for the current Simon Says challenge "Emboss it" , its not the best photograph but the top section of the card is embossed, I had fun inking up the new Five Line Background stamp from Hero Arts with different coloured Distress Markers. The sentiment is my new die from Simon Says.

This second card is for the challenge at ABNH "New Year New Stash" both the Five Lined Background stamp and the Petals of Beauty stash are new to my collection.

For Christmas my lovely Hubby got me a Silhouette Machine and this is the first card I have made with it,  very simple to make but very effective, I love how it cuts such intricate designs!

Hope you are having a good weekend, we actually have some sunny weather for once!

Don't forget to drop by next week for the Hero Arts Hostess Blog Hop, I will have my post up on Wednesday, hope you can join us!
