Birthday and Christmas!!

I have had a very busy few weeks visiting my daughter and also I have been away on a photography/ birdwatching holiday to Yorkshire.  Its also my Granddaughter Evas 2nd birthday today so I popped back up to Surrey for her party at the weekend.

This is the card I made for her, I cut the large 2 shapes using my Silhouette machine and stuck them down the left edge to create a card shape.  I then distressed with Salty Ocean Oxide ink. Most of the animals are from Heffy Doodles which I have coloured with alcohol markers.  I then die cut her name using dies from Altenew.

I was really pleased with how this card turned out and Eva was thrilled with it as she loves animals.

I have also been busy making more Christmas cards, this one uses a selection of die cut leaves and berries from Simon Says.  Not sure of the make of the frame die as i found it in a charity shop, i looks great over the musical background paper.

Pleased with how this turned out but it was fiddly and too complicated for batch making.

I need to crack on with my Christmas card making as I am way behind this year.

Another Christmas Card!!

While I was in the Christmas card mood I decided to make another card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge "You Sleigh Me"

As I don't have any stamps with a sledge on I found this colouring page online and printed it out at the right size.  I then coloured with Zig markers and fussy cut!

Next I created the sky with a handmade cloud stencil and some Distress Oxide ink adding the embossed snowy border. I also added some glimmer paste to the sledge edge and the snowy hill.  I glued the sledge to the card base using foam tape to give more dimension and also added the computer generated sentiment.

A fun card to colour and another added to my Christmas stash!

We had a fabulous day yesterday as I at last got to meet up with my family in the New Forest, picnics in the outdoors are allowed and we were lucky enough to have a bright sunny day for it.  I have missed them all so much these last 6 months and I am now looking forward to half term when they will be allowed to stay over and we can at last celebrate our missed Christmas!!

Have a great week

Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

I am keen to play in the Christmas Kickstart Challenge so that when Christmas comes round again I will have a stash of cards already made.

The challenge theme this time is "Bundle Up" so after going through my stamps I found this older Hero Arts stamp with the cute snowmen wrapped up for winter.
I stamped coloured and fussy cut three snowmen, I then found some pretty patterned paper (great to use up some of my stash, its getting far too big!!)

I then cut three holes in a die cut rectangle and laid on the patterned paper, next I used the SSS "Falling snow stencil and some glimmer paste to create lots of sparkly snow.

I then layered up the card on foam tape and added the peeking snowmen and sentiment.  Its much more sparkly in real life, can't seem to capture it in a photo!

Well that's another card added to my box, hope you find time to play along!!
