iNSD Layout 3 - The Hard Part

Today I am using Page Set #3 for my double page layout. My five items are embossing folder, brayer, stamps, wood veneer and flowers.

To meet the challenge of using 5 items I have added in to my page set twine, wood veneer, distress ink: bundled sage, peeled paint, tumbled glass and worn lipstick, stamps: Unity Stamps Kit of the Months -February 2021 {a beautiful mindset} the rain boots, January 2020 {you are enough-new beginnings} flower stamped in pink and February 2020 {timeless} blue stamped flower and leaves, Stories by the Month May 2020 - the hard part.

I started using the using the woodgrain embossing folder with a bunch of white scraps, then using the brayer to add the bundled sage ink.  The embossing looks like it is going across the page but in reality, it stops behind the photos.

On left side of the page I used a large wood veneer tag, stamped the boots and flowers then fussy cut and added a silk flower. "The hard part" is stamped, fussy cut and layered on the tag.

For the right side I used a smaller wood veneer tag with the boots and stamped sentiment.

iNDS Layout 2 - Strawberry Birthday

Layout 2 for iNDS at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge: my 5 items for this challenge are glitter (stickles), rub ons, stickers, cut file and sequins.

I am starting with page set 2 plus the items for the challenge and a couple of scraps.

I started by backing the cut file with the paper in the kit and matting the photos with scraps. I added the strawberry rub on and sequins, then added the journaling spot with the girl rub on. for the glitter I used stickles. The sticker on the bottom of the page gets carried onto page 2.

The rub on flowers and another sticker border at the top to finish off the page.

A few close ups of the details.

iNSD Layout 1 - Happy memories

Layout one for iNSD I picked washi, acrylic paint, ribbon, black cardstock base and pocket cards to include on my layout. I am using page kit #1.

I already had the photo the cardstock and paint in my CKC May 2024 - Waiting for Summer. I had no idea which of the 5 additional supplies I was going to add.

I used a baggie to apply the paint. While it was drying, I matted my photo and laid out the scraps. With two of the 5 items already decided I had to figure out the rest. The journal card is a the top - Happy Memories, and I will journal when I find the date of the pictures. I added two strips of washi next to the paper border on the side. I found a black and white flower to add to the white and orange flowers, I even used a bottle cap.

May 2022 Happy {I}NSD - Counterfeit Kit Challenge #13 - Forgery - Tags and Butterflies

Thanks so much for hanging in with us. This time I have a forgery for you up on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. Tags and Butterflies. I am using our May Inspiration kit, Sweet Life from Bo Bunny.

With a few stamps, ink, embossing powder, hole punch, scissors, a butterfly die and a few scraps from my scrap pile. I even used a piece of chipboard from a paper pad.

The supplies I am using are Tim Holtz - Distress Ink in black soot, spiced marmalade and embossing ink, Tsukineko ind - moonlight white, Recollections white embossing poser, Firefly stamp and die - Butterfly, Pink Paislee Bloom Street Stamp set, Prima wild and free stamp set and finally a couple of Unity Stamp Company stamps - the butterfly and the "look at you" stamp on the stamp block.

I started by stamping my butterflies and the leaf circle, then stamp and embossed the butterfly on Kraft cardstock. I used the chip board from a paper pad to die cut the butterfly. The orange blog with the butterflies is me putting the stamp on backwards. I then fussy cut them all out.

From the Kraft cardstock I also cut a couple of tags, added the real pattern paper then stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The best part is that I can make as many as I need for project, make them to use at a later date and its all from something I already own.

May 2022 Happy (i)NSD Counterfeit Kit Challenge #8 - use your punches and dies to create a focal point for your layout

We have hourly challenges at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for International Scrapbook Day. For my layout challenge I want you to create a focal point with your punches or dies on your layout. You can even use your die cutting machine to cur out the flower, plants, soccer balls, tennis ball or how about some tools for the guys in your life.

For my supplies I am using white, dark blue and green cardstock, Craft Smith - Corner Office (2019) polka dot paper, a scrap of Best Creations Inc. - glitter paper, buttons, flowers, pearls, sequins. For my tools I am pulling in the Spellbinders Dahlia dies and Hero Arts Infinity Ovals. I don't remember the last time I used the Dahlia die set.

I used the oval die to cut out of the glitter cardstock the vase for my flowers and then cut off the top and bottom of the oval.

I use the Dahlia die as a mat for the vase. I even have a couple of punched and die cut flowers from previous kits for the flower centers.

I had enough of the pattern paper left over to do a 8 1/2 x 11 for my youngest son. The pictures are of Mother's Day last year. We were up at my oldest son make sure that Katie had a Mother's Day.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge - iNSD Challenge Using pocket cards on a layout.

Hi everyone and welcome to iNSD with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. Our inspiration kit had several pocket cards in their kit so my challenge is to use pocket cards on a layout. From my May 2021 Counterfeit Kit - Farmers Market kit I pulled in 2 12x12 pattern papers, the 6x6 paper pad and a few pocket cards to make my layout.

Honestly, I have a hard time using the pockets cards on layouts. I can put them into the divided sheet proctors or use them as is on a layout but cutting them apart and tucking them in is a challenge for me.

My Photo is matted on one of the 6x6 pieces of paper, the rest of it is used as a banner behind my photo. I cut and tucked 4 of the journal cards making a bunch of layers behind my photo.

Now go check out the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook group to see what has inspired our master forgers for iNSD.
