“Baking cookies for the weekend…”

Heerlijk, het weekend is gestart…

En op deze vrije dag ben ik lekker aan de slag gegaan om deze leuke koekjespot te vullen met zelfgebakken koekjes.

Deliciously the weekend started ...

And on this free day off I want to bake some homemade cookies to fill these cute cookie jar.

Deze koekjespot met engeltjes heb ik afgelopen Kerst kado gekregen van mijn lieve vriendin Janny.

Vind de pot té leuk om met de Kerstdecoratie op te bergen en wilde er iets op bedenken zodat ik de post het hele jaar door kan gebruiken.

This cookie jar with angels on it I got last Christmas as a present from my dear friend Janny.

Find the pot too cute to use it only at Christmas time and I was thinking up of something so I can use the cookie jar all year round.

En ineens is het idee ontstaan en heb ik een hoesje gemaakt met een leuk label erop met een leuke tekst.

And suddenly the idea came, and I made a slipcover with a nice label on it with a lovely text.

Stof met hartjes geweven, linnen om de tekst erop te stitchen, gezellig ruche randje en wat parelmoer knoopjes.

Fabric with woven hearts, linens for to stitch the text, gentle ruffle gingham edge and some pearl buttons.

Ervoor en erna…., en nu vullen maar met zelfgebakken koekjes!

Koekjesdeeg gemaakt, met deze leuke “home made” koekjes eruit gestanst en klaar om gebakken te worden.

In de tussentijd ben ik weer heerlijk in dit verhaal gedoken van het boek “de Kerstquilt” geschreven door Jennifer Chiaverini.

Had al een paar boeken liggen maar deze was nog echt een wens van mij.

Rond de Kerst zag ik deze liggen in de boekhandel. Kon mijn ogen gewoon niet geloven met een feest van herkenning en jubelde het uit dat Libelle deze uitgebracht had in magazine vorm.

Ben zelf niet een fanatieke lezeres als het gaat om boeken maar deze ging uiteraard mee in m’n tas en sinds de Kerst ben ik al aan het lezen, al meer dan op de helft en je kan er zo heerlijk in verdwijnen. Het verhaal is absoluut hartverwarmend en zo mooi.

I had already a few books from her but this one was still really a wish of mine.

Around Christmas, I saw this magazine lying in the bookstore. I just could not believe my eyes and I had a feast of recognition and shouted for joy that publisher Libelle had it released in magazine form.

I am not an avid reader when it comes to books, but obviously this bookmagazine I really want to read it and since Christmas I have been reading this book and now I am more than half of the book with reading, you can really disappear in the story. The story is absolutely heartwarming and very beautiful.

Inmiddels gaat de kookwekker af en haal de bakplaat uit de oven…

Niet lachen jullie (ik zie nu echt de glimlachen op jullie gezichten), inderdaad de bakplaat is één hele grote koek geworden hahahahah….

Heb het af laten koelen en maar zelf in stukjes gebroken. Ja, ze smaken overheerlijk deze butterscotch cookies en heb mijn koekjespot gevuld voor het weekend!

Do not laugh you (I really see the smiles on your faces now), indeed the griddle has become a very big cookie hahahahah ....

Let it cool off and broken this large cookie into pieces. Yes, and butterscotch cookies they taste very delicious and have my cookie jar filled for the weekend!

En Tiki kijkt ook niet meer zo nors want hij is nu ook blij dat vrouwtje weer tijd voor hem heeft.

And Tiki looks not so grumpy anymore because he is now happy that I have time for him again.

Open days at the quiltshop “Stoffen & Stofferen in the town of Bussum”

Op 12 september j.l. ben ik samen met twee gezellige en hele lieve dames Tanja en Renske naar de open dag geweest van de quiltwinkel “Stoffen & Stofferen in Bussum.

De bedoeling was dat ik een “ochtendje” deze quiltwinkel zou gaan bezoeken maar dat werd een HELE gezellige dag en bepakt en bezakt liep ik de deur uit met 4 tassen…, heel schaamteloos hahaha!
Voor mij echt een fantastische dag om op terug te kijken, ontzettend veel gelachen (de mensen die mij kennen weten dat ik altijd zo bulder.. en vuur lachsalvo’s af) verder hebben er ook hele bijzondere ontmoetingen plaats gevonden en teveel LEUKE dingen in de winkel in de sferen van herfst/winter.

Zoals met Coby, zei geeft mij altijd leuke reacties per mail, de allerleukste vond ik toch wel dat ze geen Libelle meer kocht maar blogs volgde hahaha…
En door Sietske werd ik aangesproken die mij herkende van mijn blog, gek hoor als mensen je dan herkennen hahaha…
Maar o zo leuk, Coby en Sietske mailen mij en te gek dat ik ze dan eens “live” mag ontmoeten!

Handmade quilts... so BEAUTIFUL!

Jaaa, en daar hebben we weer het quiltje "Home is the Happiest Place"! Leuk hé die 2 kussentjes al in winterse sferen..., ik heb de samplers gekocht!

Yes, here we have the little weekendquilt "Home is the Happiest Place"! How cute are the 2 cusions in the sphere of Winter..., I've bougth the samplers!

Uuuhhh.... moet ik hier nog wat bij vermelden hihihi.... Jawel ik prijs me gelukkig met het boek Country Hearts, wintereditie. Heel gezellig boek en TE leuke borduurpatronen! Het ook zo te gekke boek Gluckspilze (gelukspaddestoel) had ik gekregen voor mijn verjaardag van m'n werk met hele leuke stofjes erbij, pakketje door Tanja samengesteld in deze winkel.

Uuuuhhh... should I tell you more about this picture hihihi... Oh yes, I am so happy that I'm the owner of this book Country Hearts, winteredition. So cosy book with lot of TOO nicest embroidery patterns! The also too crazy handcraft book "Gluckspilze" (lucky blewits) I got it as a birtday present from my work with lovely quiltfabrics, Tanja composed it in this shop.

Zo'n bonnetje heb ik nog nooit gehad hahah... was te klein om alles te noteren. En zo leuk, had een verrassingszakje van Nora en Mia gekregen met een hele lieve boodschap erop... (lieve zucht) Nu hoop ik dan voor de volgende keer dat ik nog wel thuis mag komen met zo'n bonnetje...hihi.

I never received such a receipt hahah ... was too small to write down everything what I've bought. And so lovely, I received a surprise bag of Nora and Mia with a very sweet message written on it... (little sigh) Now I hope for the next time that I may welcome at my home with such receive... hihi.

En hier de "meet & greet" met Coby, van haar deze ontzettende leuke warme attentie gekregen in herfstsferen...

And here the "meet & greet" with Coby, she gave me this very cute warm attention in autumn spheres...


En deze warme attentie ontving ik van Sietske per post, prachtige samplers waar ik iedere dag mee zit te spelen en ze had mijn post over Fryske Dumkes gelezen die stuurde ze ook mee... deze overheerlijk zak met koekjes overleefde 2 dagen! Jammie... zo HEERLIJK.

And from Sietske I received also this warm attentions by postmail, beautiful samplers and every day I play with those samplers and she send me also my favourite cookies Fryske Dumkes she read it in my earlier post, this bag with cookies survive for 2 days! Jammie...so DELICIOUS.

Natuurlijk even tussendoor naar Hans te Kloese geweest, ook weer zo'n TE leuke woondecoratie winkel in Bussum. Deze mooie berkenkrans met zakken gedroogd fruit zoals appelschijfjes, sinaasappel, peertjes heb ik daar gekocht om deze herfst/winter kransjes te maken zoals vorig jaar…

Ofcourse I went also for a shop at Hans to Kloese, this is also a very cute home decoration shop. I bought this beautiful birch wreath and bags filled with dried fruits such as apple slices, orange, pears to make these little autumn/winter wreath like last year...

Nora heeft me al lekker gemaakt door te vertellen dat er weer een hele leuke collectie aan stof is binnengekomen en nog veel meer…
Misschien zie ik je dan wel maar voor nu wens ik iedereen een fijne start van de week…

On September 12th, I went with such two very sweet and lovely lady's Tanja and Renske to the open day of the quilt shop "Stoffen & Stofferen in the town of Bussum. The idea was that I go for visit only in the "morning" but it turn out for one hole day and when I walked in the end of the day out of this quiltshop I carried 4 bags with me...shameless and unblushing ahum....hahaha! For me it was a really great day to look back on, a lot of laughter (the people who know me know that I always loud out laugh,… I fire some laughing salvo’s ) there were some very special meetings with people and TOO many funny things in the store in the spheres of autumn / winter. I had also a special meeting with Coby, she give me lovely comments by mail. And the most cutest reaction by mail was that she don’t want to buy decorating magazines anymore she followed blogs now.. hahaha. And I was approached by Sietske who recognized me from my blog, so crazy when people recognize me from my blog... hahaha. But oh so lovely, heartwarming and fun, Coby and Sietske always mail to me and I love that I had now a “meet & greet” with them! Watch with me... (click on the photo to enlarge)

Ik blijf in de boeken, wat een inspiratie krijg je hierdoor!
Dit boek had ik al op de handwerkbeurs te Zwolle gezien van een bezoekster. Ze vertelde me dat je deze op de stand van Budget Boek kon kopen, daarna rende ik zowat naar deze stand hahaha… Helaas uitverkocht, maar kon deze toch nog nabestellen en deze week viel het prachtige boek van Debbie Mumm in m’n brievenbus.

Kan je nu al vertellen dat er prachtige patronen in staan en zal ze zeker een keer gaan maken tevens zal ik het boek een keer “uitlichten”.

This book, I had already seen on the crafting exhibition of an visitor.
She told me that you can by this on the stand of Budget Book, after this conversation I ran almost to the stand hahaha ...
Unfortunately sold out, but I could still re-ordering and this week was the wonderful book by Debbie Mumm in my mailbox.
Can you already tell that there are beautiful patterns in it and I will certainly gonna make those, I will also tell and let you see about this book. Still at the moment I only watch and read in the book ...
