Pool School Cricut Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone, I have a scrapbook layout to share. My kids spent six weeks taking swim lessons and they did great! Lily went from not wanting to get her face wet to jumping off the high diving board. Tyler's backstroke is crazy amazing for a six year old! The video is a little bit scattered because I ran out of battery in the middle and got interrupted and so it's a little pieced together!

My wedding mini

Hi everyone, I have another scrapbook mini but this one has pictures from my brother's wedding. I used the chunky mini album tutorial from Scrapbook Giggles on Youtube. I really didn't care for it but it was still fun to use another style of album.

Be sure to watch the video to get to see the inside of the album.

Cakewalk Mini Album

Hi everyone,

I have another mini album to share with you. I don't have a video for this one because I gave it away before I was able to make one. I made it for my sister ---her daughter had a 4th birthday party. I put a few charms in it and pictures and I kept it fairly simple but embellished the cover of the album a bit.

I used October Afternoon Cakewalk paper and embellishments and cards and envelopes from Michaels for the album.

Cutters Creek Design Post Day

Hi everyone,
The Cutters Creek Design team is making masculine projects this week on the Cutters Creek Design Team blog. I really wanted to make something for my husband and my dad but I didn't want anything to crazy since we will be on vacation on Father's Day. So I came up with a card and a gift all in one! I used mucho scraps to make this little book. I used my Bind-it-all and the Dilly Dally paper from My Mind's Eye along with cardstock from SU. The size is 5x7.

For my image, I used the Father's Day cartridge for the motorcycle and the DAD was cut from Create a Critter 2, I think that it was part of the trophy image?

I then found an image of a present, made it big enough to see and then printed it out and attached it to some cardstock. My son doesn't look super thrilled at all, does he?

Then I printed a picture of my Lily holding a heart picture that I found on the Internet. She is always to ready to pose for the camera, messy hair and all.

Then I printed out Happy Father's Day and cut out the words and mounted them on cardstock and took a picture of my kids holding the signs.

I then used my brand new We R Memory Keepers envelope board and made a cute envelope. It stays closed with velcros. I plan on having the kids write a little note that I will tuck inside. Then these books will get packed in my suitcase until Father's Day. There is a learning curve to using this board but I think its a phenomenal tool.

Here is the version for their Grandpa. I used the Robotz cartridge for the lettering and the chair was cut from the Father's Day cartridge. My dad has a recliner that is "his" its remote control. As soon as my dad gets up, my kids all run over and sit in his chair. They think its hilarious to steal Grandpa's chair.

I did make a video for you so that you can see everything a bit clearer and you get to see the envelope board in action.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Be sure to visit the Cutters Creek store if you are interested in any of the products I used today.

Discover Dora

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for visiting me today on Scrapbooking Saturday. First, I just love how my layouts came out. I will be placing these with my Project Life which I will be honest and say that I am about 10 weeks behind but I do take some shortcuts which I will show you and I do create more traditional layouts and then put them all in my scrapbook chronologically.

I used the Summer Smooches Designer Paper from Stampin' Up. I love the vibrant colors in this paper, it just pops. I used two different designs in this collection and my photos are matted with Midnight Muse cardstock. My title is cut from Kate's ABC's and I cut out an Everyday Paperdoll dressed like Dora, a tree from Everyday Popups and this cool fence from Winnie the Pooh which I modified a bit. The fence arrow says "Discovery Science" on it which is the kids museum that we went to. It's in Santa Ana California about 15 minutes away from Disneyland so if you visit SoCal this is another place you can go and take your kids.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Easter in July?

Hi everyone, welcome to Scrapbooking Saturday. Today, I am sharing a scrapbooking page that I made to go with my Project Life. I am sort of doing a hybrid Project Life for one thing I cannot remember to take pictures everyday and the other is that I do love traditional scrapbooking layouts so I have opted for a hybrid and a more laid back approach. Today, I am using parts of a pre-made kit that I had purchased before I started my scrapbook addiction. I kept the layout basically the same in terms of how the paper is laid out. I changed the picture layout so that I can fit more pictures. The kit had these thick chipboard letters. I try to keep my layouts flat so that my books can fit more pages so I decided to cut my letters out using the Kate's ABC's cartridge and the shadow feature. I used the cardstock that was left in the kit to cut the letters. I think that it turned out real cute.

I think the message here is to continue to find ways to use your stash and while you may not have the same style anymore, you can sometimes make use of your old products in your new projects.

Thanks for looking today.

Happy Independence Day!

HI everyone,
Happy Fourth of July and Happy Independence Day!Today, I am sharing my Fourth of July Layout from last year that I completed last week when I was a crafting maniac. I am not exactly a year behind. I started doing Project Life in January and was have been trying to catch up with the last part of 2011 doing traditional layouts. This was part of a kit that I had from Scenic Route which is no longer in business and when I was doing my spring cleaning I came across the last of this paper and thought that it would be perfect for the pictures that I had already printed out to work on this summer. I used the Independence Day Cricut cartridge.

Last year we celebrated at my sister's house but she sold her house and has since downsized. So this year, we had a lovely bbq at my parent's house and the kids went swimming even though it was a frosty 72 degrees (the pool was heated at 87). My brother made shrimp, we had potato salad, green salad, grilled veggies, hamburgers, hot dogs, hot links and I made homemade brownies for brownie sundaes! Yum! We are back home resting and if all goes well, we will find a place to watch fireworks even though our city does allow them.

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy day. Don't forget that I have blogoversary blog candy a few posts down!
