Bloggers Challenge #104... For My Man...

Hello! I am keeping this post simple, because I have so much happening this week...

Todays Bloggers Challenge was to make a MANLY card - so I grabbed my Stampscapes and did some watercoloring... I also used the MOJO Sketch challenge for this week...

Color Challenge 176-

I combined challenges here - CC176 and the DTGD08Jody Challenges on Splitcoast.

The DTGD08Jody is one of the Dirty Dare '08 challenges and we were supposed to use something DRY EMBOSSED. So I used the polka dots Cuttlebug.

I watercolored the Cabin from Stampscapes. The color challenge is to use River Rock, Soft Sky and Vanilla. I threw black in there for good measure. :)

Another watercolored cabin

I am loving this cabin stamp. When my friend Holly sent me a stamped image of it, it only took one time to water color it before I KNEW I needed to buy it. It comes from Stampscapes and I absolutely love it.

I watercolored this with a combination of Twinkling H20's and Classic Ink pads. I actually started this as my SCS Sketch challenge card but could not make it fit into the sketch, so I changed it around and set this one aside.

With the sky being painted darker, the colors remind me of a storm moving through the area.

I am giving this card to a very special friend who recently lost a very close loved one. Her loved one is now with the Lord - there is no better place to be, but it does not diminish the pain of her loss. I imagine God has His arms wrapped around her, as He gives her strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Sketch Challenge 183 - The Cabin

Today is sketch challenge day and it seemed like forever since I have been able to do one of those!

Clouds with Lightning - Encouragement Cards

You know who I LOVE? Even though I do not know him by name - I just LOVE it when he comes to my door... my post man! He is the best and always brings me fun mail.

The other day, I got 3 large packages! One from Stampscapes, another from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and another from Stampin' Up!. Talk about a FUN mail day!!!

I had a class which is this morning to plan for, so I didn't have time to play - not to mention birthday parties we were throwing for our dd and out of town In-laws being over. That truly limited my play time (oops!! I better say work time - because that is what I tell my hubby ***giggle***)

Last night, I was playing (working) around with my new stamps - Sweet 'n Sassy's Jesus Cares and Stampscapes cloud with lightning - this did not turn out on paper as I saw it in my head - (neither card did) but sometimes that happens! LOL

I saw this stamp and it reminded me of God being ALL POWERFUL - He is in complete control of all things - I THANK and PRAISE Him for that because I tend to screw up a lot and it is good to know that someone else has MORE control than I do! I also am thankful that He can work my "bad" for His good!
