I played with this little polar bear from Stamping Bella. I think he is just adorable and was really happy with how this card turned out!
I'm not sure who the sentiment is by - I think it might be a dollar store stamp. Its hard to tell from the pic but the red stripes are colored with my spica pen so they are nice and sparkly! LOVIN these simple cards!

Twins!!
A nurse that I work with just found out she is having twins and I couldn't be happier for her! Having twins myself, I know all the the double joys and blessings and yes, sometimes frustrations that go along with having 2 babies at the same time. I can't wait to watch the journey that is before them as they undergo this big change in their lives!!! I thought I'd whip up a quick card for her and this is what I came up with:
Deets: stamps: stamping bella, dp: wrmk, cuttlebug embossing folder, fiskars punch and copic markers.

SERENITY NOWWWWWWW!
Yep, that's what I needed, that's why as you are reading this I am off in the mountains, enjoying some romantic time with my sweetheart. I promise to post pics when I get back. In the meantime, while I was getting ready for our little getaway, I was cleaning off my desk and found this image that I had colored some time ago. I took a few minutes to make a quick card with it.
Take some time to get your own serenity today!

Forever, For Eternity
That's what is engraved on the inside of my wedding ring. Andy and I wrote our own wedding vows and that's how he ended his.
I purchased this Bella stamp quite some time ago and just got around to using it. Guess who's valentine card this is going to be??? *wink*
The card itself is very plain but I didn't want to take away from the matt, ribbon and glitter that surround the main image. It looks so elegant IRL.
Are you getting ready to show the one you love how much they mean to you? Pin It

All Shapes & Sizes
I figured this Stamping Bella was a good image to use at this time of the year when everyone is making their New Year's resolutions to work off all of those extra pounds from Christmas goodies.
I also love this sentiment because, while it is important to take good care of our physical bodies, I think our society puts waaaaaayyy too much emphasis on outward appearance. How many of us choose our friends because of what they look like? We see these girls on the infomercials advertising the latest new work out craze and they are PERFECTLY proportioned. I think its important to remember that even our slim friends come in different shapes and sizes. We choose our friends because of what is in their hearts! I think as we all venture out in this new year trying to improve our health and thereby appearance, its important to remember...
Friends DO come in all shapes and sizes!
Hugs to all my differently shaped friends!! Pin It

Twins!
Of course I have a special place in my heart for twins (because we have a set). Although we really determined from the beginning not to dress them the same, etc. We really feel that they are individuals and try very hard not to compare them to each other etc.
I have this sweet little house mouse stamp that I just love - I've actually used it in their scrapbooks!
Since we have 4 boys, all the baby stuff I seem to stamp is with boy colors so I thought it would be fun to do a twin girl card.
I used my copic markers to color this image. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella. The dp is Amy Butler. Ribbon from my stash, C/S - bazzill.
Have any good twin stories? I'd love to hear them! Pin It

Bellarific Blog Candy
I'm a big fan of the bellas! I have almost every one and started collecting them even before most people knew they were around! I have one issue with them though - do you think you can spot it on this card?
Do you see it? Its her mouth/teeth. I hear some people say, "I hate when people color the bella's teeth". Now, is that open space supposed to be teeth? I've always colored it because I thought it was the inside of her mouth. Now the argument could be - so then bella has no teeth, however, if that was the argument then we could also say - bella only has 1 finger and no hands - see what I mean.
Anyhow, I whipped up this quick card today using this bella image that I've had forever. It was one of the very first I purchased! The paper is the Georgia Peach paper from SU. There are bella baubles in the corners of course and along the top of the DP. The glittery chipboard flower is by K&Co.
So, let me know what you think about bella's mouth/teeth and I'll be picking a winner for some bellarific blog candy! Pin It

I'm Aaaaall Aloooone, There's No One Heeere, Beeeeesiiide Meeee....
I think this bella is great! I just love her! Since Andy has been away this Christmas season, I felt like it was up to me to make Christmas for the boys. I did the Christmas shopping by myself, decorated the tree by myself and did the baking by myself. It was actually all okay! Normally I like to get the whole family involved but this year I've done pretty good!
I used my copics to color this image - Seriously - who needs 6 different colors of RED - I DO I DO - LOL! I found coloring the bella particularly difficult using the copics since the tip of them is fairly big. Normally I use my blender pen with ink pads and SU markers (which have a very nice detailing end on them, making it very easy to color the small details) I used my red spica pen to color some of the parcels, bella's headband and the stripes in her scarf. The dp is Memory Box and the ribbon is from American Crafts. I used an opaque paint pen for the silver cart and - as always, those are real swarovski's on the tree!!
Have fun making your Christmas special this year! Pin It

Too Much?
This is another one of them images that I had colored. This one is from Stamping Bella. I just love it - I think it is so adorable!! Be honest, is it just too much with all that dp in the background?
I had to add glitter, my first thought was to just use crystal effects but I thought it needed something to make the main image stand out from the background! You don't want to be looking at this card after a couple of Christmas cocktails - yowsah!
The image was colored with my copic markers and the snow is some foam paint I picked up at Mike's LAST christmas.
This designer Paper Salon paper is on sale right now in the Pretties Boutique for 75% off!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Snowy Nights
First, I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends and readers. We celebrated our turkey day here over a month ago! I hope you all have a day filled with blessing, laughter, and peace!
Now, onto my card. I kept seeing this bella image on different blogs I look at and I finally decided I just couldn't live without it! It reminds me of one of those really cold winter nights when you look out the window and the sky is clear and the stars are shining; the fire is crackling next to you and all of your loved ones are around you. In that moment it just feels like everything is right in the world.
Deets: C/S: Bazzill white, PTI white, SU turquoise; DP: Heidi Grace Crystal Snow; Stamps: Bella, SU; Access: American Crafts ribbon, WRMK brads and clip. Pin It

Happy Birthday
I bought this bella image quite a while ago and I finally made something with her today.
I found these brads in my stash - no idea where I got them - but they match Blue Bayou EXACTLY - yum - I LOVE things that match!!!

Ode to Brads
I've been looking at all of my brads lately (oh boy) and thinking that I just need to use them! When you first start paper crafting it takes a while to build up a supply of all of those extra fun things to put on a card, so now that my stash is finally available (okay, ridiculously over stocked), I am so hesitant to use them - I guess I'm still in new paper crafter mode in that sense.
Today, I decided to take the leap - oh boy - I hope I didn't overdo it!
I was so proud of myself that I used 14 brads on this card - OIY - that MUST be a record!!! LOL
Let me know what you think!

A Fairy Nice Day and a Color Challenge
I just couldn't resist this sweet little fairy from Stamping Bella. I inked her up as soon as I got her and here's what I came up:
Its hard to see from the pic but her collar, sleeve cuffs, shoes and the spindles coming from the flowers were all colored with my pink spica pen. Each of the leaves were highlighted with the light green spica and her wings are covered in multi colored ultrafine glitter. The pink cardstock is bling cardstock from bazzil. The pink ribbon has sparkles in it as well and the buckle is from Making Memories.
I also wanted to issue you a color challenge. I'm going to go and make my Prettie Monday card but I thought it would be fun if you could play along so here is the color challenge for tomorrow's card:
Navy, Chartruese and white. I can't wait to see what you come up with, until then....

Chipboard Challenge
Okay so our Chipboard Challenge which was posted by Prettie Girl Julie Masse was simple - use chipboard on a card! uh-hu. I have soooo much chipboard, but truly, I rarely use it - I don't know why, I guess I just never think of it. Anyway, I dug through my hoards of chipboard and found a circle - VERRRYY creative - I know. My thought process was however, to make a card with a removable Christmas decoration. Here's what I came up with:

New Stuff
1st - I've been seeing this Janome Sew Mini sewing machine on people's blogs, etc. I have been looking for a little sewing machine FOREVER. All of the little ones (the ones advertised on TV as travel machines), the provocraft one - all of them are garbage IMHO. They are very light and unstable and really don't do a nice job of sewing at all. So I've been eyeing up this Janome. My friend got one and was really impressed. Here's the catch, they don't ship to Canada and apparently Janome Canada and Janome USA are completely different companies. Anyway, to make a long story short, I just bought one off of ebay! It is brand new and the machine and shipping were less than what Janome was selling it for on sale!!! I am sooooooo pumped - you can expect to see some sewing on cards soon!

Which Bella are You?
I figured for the stage of life I'm in Minivanabella was probably the best choice for me. Yes, I know there's a girl in the image - I have all boys but you get the point!

One Great Reason
I think my Hubster is the luckiest man around because he has four GORGEOUS, happy, sweet boys to be thankful for on Father's day. He really is one of the best dads around and our boys are really blessed to have him in their lives!! So am I! Here is one of the great reason's Andy has to be thankful on Father's Day:
This is Eli. He is four, cute, sometimes insecure, sometimes precocious but always sweet and loveable. How cute is he in his Tommy shirt and sunglasses! And here is the card I made for Andy, each of the boys made cards too - I'll post them later but the envelopes are "yicked" shut!
Thanks Andy, for being such a great Dad and husband! Happy Father's Day Sweetie!
