Big Honkin' Happy Dance

I've been sitting on this happy dance for a couple weeks now.  Why?


Because Kathy needed to see it in person first.  She talked me into starting this way back when and never missed a chance to ask why I wasn't working on it.

I solemnly swear I'm up to no g stitching.

I've been working on a project I can't share right now.  I know I know.  Bad.

So I was getting bored of just working on the unmentionable project and did a little on PL instead.  That I can share:

March Retreat Report

This weekend was the Knowledge and Needles Spring Retreat.  Three days of stitching, eating and sleeping.  Dani and I loaded into the car Friday morning, went for a nice breakfast and then the back roads to Kingston where we stopped briefly before hitting the 401 for the rest of the trip.

Along the way there were some gorgeous views.  I took this one with my phone.

 I decided not to do people shots this year.  Here is a sampling of the finished stitching that was on display. 

 

Saturday we were treated to a wonderful lunch by Dan:

We had a visitor who decided he would get lunch from the bird feeder.  Bad squirrel.

Here is my stitching progress from the weekend. There was a lot of black, and for a change, dark brown.

before sadly having to pack up Sunday morning for the trip home.

So I think I'm going to put PL away for a little bit and work on something else.

I Can Take A Hint

It appears that merely mentioning that I'm working on the green monster is not enough, some people require pictures as well. 

So I dug out my last picture, there's a bit more done then here but close.

Hope that's better.

Work or Play?

During the holidays I said to myself "Self," I said, "wouldn't it be nice to have a nice clean stash closet with all the new stuff put away to start the new year?" 

So I did.

I emptied out the stash closet and spent most of a day sorting everything out.  Here it is all done:

The stash closet does share with some other things, but things fit a lot better now.



And I thought I'd share a little progress on PL.
