CottageCutz Gracie Bunny Giving Thanks

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of a creation made with the beautiful CottageCutz dies.  This die is called Gracie Bunny Giving Thanks-just perfect for my thank you card today.
Gracie Bunny has been colored with copic markers.  The colors used were C01, C03, and C05.  It's a coincidence that this thank you card is actually going to someone who owns a boy bunny named Grayson-that's why the bunny is Gray.
The flower was created with the Sizzix Sunflower die.  The card base is Spellbinders and a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Punch.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be show to check out CottageCutz dies at The Scrapping Cottage for all you creative needs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  See you soon.  Here is the CottageCutz die used:

Sizzix Dahila with Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance

Orange is not a color I would work with outside of Halloween.  It's out of my comfort zone.  But there the paper was sitting on my table from the DCWV "Pocket Full of Posey's" stack.  It was calling to me to create this.
And oh what fun it was!  These Dahlia's were so fun to create with the Sizzix die from Susan's Garden.  They started out as white paper, inked with Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Barn Door distress ink.  Super fun to get those fingers inky.  Your not having fun unless you have inky fingers!
Some Spellbinders dies, Martha Stewart Butterflies, CottageCutz Expressions, and a few pearls and you have yourself a thank you card that is going to get a WOW when it is opened.  You'll be seeing a lot of "Thank You" card ideas this month on my blog.  There are a lot of special people in my life I need to thank who helped make my Son's Wedding a day one we will never forget.
This will be making its way to two special people who traveled so far to be here for the Wedding and even brought me a present.  I was absolutely so touched.  I am truly blessed with the most wonderful family and friends that fill my life with happiness.  Thank you for stopping by today to see what's going on in my neck of the woods.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  See You Soon!

Today's $1.98 Stamp-Hummingbird

Picked this up from the clearance basket at Michael's for $1.98. I just love it. It is an inkadinkado stamp, but there is no name on it. I didn't know how I was going to proceed with coloring this and decided on chalking it. I really love how vibrant the shading turned out. I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen in Blue Star to highlight the humming bird by tracing it. I outlined the flowers in icicle stickles and sprayed with a fixative. I tied a cream colored bow and used brass fasteners/brads. Thanks for checking in today. I hope to have another entry tomorrow, although it is giving me problems. Have a great evening.

VSN Challenge Wilted Lettuce Grazie

Hello Everyone!!! Today's card was from the VSN stamp night last night over at Splitcoast Stampers. Come and join us for 4 different challenges. You have until Sunday June 19th 10 p.m. Eastern time to up-load you cards.

The challenge-make a card in lettuce hues. Lettuce colors only, variations of green, and deep purple/red leaf lettuce, and your neutral has to be beige. Crinkled card stock technique and your sentiment has to be in Italian.

Talk about making a salad!!! This was great fun and a salad I did make. I could not resist setting up my little bear who is holding lettuce. I loved doing this card. I had so many green scraps out you couldn't see my table. It seemed like everything matched!!! What a fun challenge!

Thanks for taking time to stop by today. Hope you enjoyed your visit.

A2 Card Box and Thank-you Notes

Here is a set of Thank-you notes and a box to put them in that I made for my Sister-In-Laws parents who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. You just can't imagine how gorgeous these are in person. It is hard to photograph the details, but I think you can see most of them. You can't really see that all of these cards are embossed. This was a challenge to photograph.....I had to hold my breath. lol I will tell you that all the envelopes that go with these match the cards. For instance the butterfly has been embossed to match the front card, the dragonfly is embossed to match that card and so forth. This is just one of the items that I have planned to send to them. You will see more in the coming days. Everything has been gold embossed. I only used white and gold for the 50th theme. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I will get back to you. The A2 box card tutorial can be found on Splitcoast Stampers. I made a band for mine, if you would like the measurements for the band, just let me know. I fit six cards nicely in the box and I have lots of chunky embellishments on them.

Pug Birthday and Thank You Cards

Here is a couple pictures of the set of cards I made for my friend to go along with the 3 x 3 Note Card box. I just love these dog themed papers. This was so much fun to put together. My friend really loved them. She said she would be afraid to use them. I was thinking there could be so much you could do with this. Maybe put a little Santa hat on the dog for Christmas Cards and also a Birthday hat for Birthday cards. I am sure she will be the recipient of more of my creations. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Kitty Thank You

Well it is raining here in Georgia for the third consecutive day and it is quite cool outside for May. I would not have even gone out if I was not sick again. I knew yesterday when I tried to vacuum that something was definitely going on with me when my rescue inhaler wasn't cutting it. Went to the Doctor's today, and sure enough, I am having bronchial spasms again. After going to the Doctor's, I went straight to the Library and picked up six books. I am going to be on Steroids again, so I have to plan my night roaming, cause that stuff doesn't let you sleep all that well. Maybe I can make some more cards!!! lol

This card was another one I made for VSN at Splitcoast stampers. It was for the lucky seven challenge (that's why there are 7 rhinestones). You had to have seven embellishments on your card. I got excited making this card. It was just one of them that went together like a charm. I was trying to expose 7 fish bones, but it didn't work out. That's alright cause I like the rhinestones real well.

Stamping at My House

My card is here at the left and Carole's is on the right.

My Card

Carole's Card

What better way to spend your day than sharing love for stamping and crafting with a friend. Today my friend Carole came over and we made these two cards. They are both from the "Ways to Use It" challenges for last week and this week on SCS. We had so much fun creating these cards. We shared stamps, ideas, friendship, and great conversation. We had tea and scones and later some diet soda. One eventful happening was the uninvited guest that showed up in the afternoon......a nice good sized lizard....ran right underneath my couch. Yuck!!! My husband and son came home, and, wouldn't you know it, they couldn't find it......could it still be out there somewhere???? Thanks Carole for brightening up my day. It was wonderful.

The first card was done with a stamp Carole had. We made the flowers out of soda cans. We punched the flowers out, colored them with sharpies, and added a rhinestone in the middle. The card stock was embossed with cuddlebug folders. We also punches fronds and branches from the Martha Stewart punches.

On the second card we used a magnolia flower stamp Carole had, along with heart nesties, and 2 different cuddlebug embossing folders. We stamped with gold pigment ink. Border punches were used along with the fond and branch punch.

This is a great way to see different interpretations of basically the same design and stamps. Carole and I hope to get together again sometime soon and do this again. I encourage you to get together with your friends and make and share your crafts and memories.

Sunflower Bear Thank You Card

I needed to make a couple of thank you cards this weekend to send to friends that did something nice for me last week. I have been participating in the Viva Las Vegas challenge at SCS and this was my entry for the Blackjack Challenge. You were suppose to make a card that totaled21points. This is how mine added up:
5 points for the stamp
1 point for every layer - I had 3 layers for 3 points
3 points for every DP- I had a total of 6points
1 point for each embellishment- I had 4 brads and 3 rhinestone flowers for 7 points
Total = 21 and a blackjack.

This is one of my favorite stamps. I need to look up the company that made it. I will post another fabulous card I made with it that added up over the 21 points, so I will have it then. The "Thanks" is from Beyond Birthdays cartridge cut on my cricut. Thanks for looking and have a great Sunday.

Thanks for Making My Day

Today's card was a challenge on SCS for Viva Las Vegas. For the 11 o'clock challenge you had to make a "Gold" card with as many gold elements as possible. So I wanted to try that soda can technique from the other week. I used my nesties, a cuttlebug embossing folder, and some gold embossing powder and came up with one of the gold elements. I heat embossed the sentiment which an inkadinkado stamp, used gold ribbon, punched the lace with a Martha Stewart border punch and used some gold brads. I put some black card stock behind my stamp image to give it some pizazz and make it stand out. Thanks for looking and have a great evening! I am off to try another challenge.
