Easter Blessings Wooden Pearl Cross

Here's something a little different. Well, the easel card isn't different, but the focal point is! This is a wooden cross ornament that I found at Micheal's a few weeks ago on one of my scouting trips. They had several different shaped crosses, but this one caught my creative eye.

As you can see in this close up version, I attached pearls around the outside and distressed the wood with Rangers Tea Dye Distress inks. I also tied a sheer bow around the center of the cross. The roses were made with a Marvey punch, I distressed ink them as well. I used Star Dust Stickles for the glitter as it compliment the soft teal card stock I used.

Now for the details....

Martha Stewart - Punch Around the Page Iron Fence, Frond and Branch Punch
Spellbinders - Oval Beaded Nesties, Large Oval Nesties, Fancy Tags 2, Parisian Motif Shapabilities

Here is the order of the blog hop in case you lose your way along the way:
Tracey-Lynn, Donna, Carol (that's me), Tracey McD, Darsie, Robin, Danielle, Nancy, Anne, Marlena, Michelle, and the Fred She Said Blog.

My creations for the blog hop were made with the new colored Easter Chicky which you can find here at the Fred She Said Store. One of the fun things about being on Tracey's design team is that she will ask for requests. Well last year I just loved the freebie chick that she did and asked if she would do it with the chick cracking out of the egg.

Well be still my heart. This is what she sent us and I am just over the moon for this image....can you tell. I have created a egg shaped Easter Basket, and an Egg shaped easel card, and an envelope to put this cute card in. This is the Easter Basket. I was able to find some really cute little chocolate chicks made by Lindt that you can see peeking from inside that match it perfect.

Here is a close up of this very cute image. I used some tiny prima flowers, the Martha Stewart frond and branch punch as well as the butterfly punch. I attached tiny gold rhinestones to the flowers. I punched the lacy part of the egg with the Martha Stewart corner Gothic Arches and fence border punch. I used lots of stickles to make this sparkle and shine....my favorite embellishment!!! The edges have been distressed with Rangers tea dye distress ink.

This is the very sweet easel card. As you can see, it matches the Easter Basket perfectly. This little set will be going to my Mom for Easter. I know she will love it.

I made an extra egg to slip under the bottom. It is attached with a brad and swings out so I can sign the card. I have a hard time signing my cards as I don't like messing them up!!! lol So I like the added feature and try to make something to write my message that is hidden in all my easel cards.

My word for the blog hop is - Hippety

Fred She Said Spring Flower-Tulip

Today, I have the third in a series of the Spring Flowers collection from Fred She Said. If you would like to see these images, they can be found here. I have one more flower to complete on these 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" cute little easel cards.

Don't you think these little easel cards are just so sweet? I used the Spellbinders Lotus Die for this card along with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags and Large Circle Nestabilities. The edges were distress inked with Spun Sugar. The Martha Stewart Punches are Branch, Frond, and Small Butterfly. The flowers were in the clearance section at Micheal's. I glittered this up and used ribbon and pearls for embellishment. As you can see in the picture above, I made this card with an extra piece as well for writing my sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you found some inspiration to do some spring cards for your collection. They make wonderful Birthday cards that are sure to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Fred She Said Crocus Card

Don't you just love spring flowers. I am so enthralled with the Fred She Said Spring Flower set found here, that I have decided to do a series of 4-1/2 inch ease cards in each of the flowers. I have the Tulip one already done and will show that to you in the next day or two. I will be working on the Snow Drop Flower next.
So you know me, I always have to work things up a little different. I hate to write on these cards so I created a way to have a tag that slips out to write my sentiment on. I decorated the top as you see here that slips out. It is plain on the back so I can just write my greeting.
This sentiment was something I picked up in the dollar bin at Micheal's. I just love the Ranger Distress Inks and this one is the color Sage. Recipe
Spellbinders - Square Eyelet Nestabilities, Fancy Tag
Martha Stewart - Small Butterfly Punch
Paper - DCWV Pocket Full of Posies

Gingerloft Guest Designer-Use Those Flowers

Hey everyone! I am so excited today as I am a guest designer for the "Use Those Flowers" at the Gingerloft Challenge. This is the second time I got to be a Guest Designer and play with Tami's fabulous digis. I chose this Gingerloft digi called Playground. Isn't he just darling. I colored him with my Copic markers. Here is a nice close up of how cute this little guy is. Not only did I have fun coloring and creating my focal point, but I finally had a chance to play with my Birthday present. I made these flowers with my Cuttlebug Quilling Kit. These are so much fun to make and so easy. You just run your dies through the bug and then roll the pieces on a special quilling tool that is included in the kit. Here is another close up of the flowers and the butterfly I used to embellish this card. The following is a list of supplies I used for this drawer easel card.

Spellbinders-Beaded Circle Nestabilities, Fancy Tags
Sizzix - Leaf Die
Martha Stewart Punches: Branch, Frond, Large Butterfly, Fleur de Lis, Hydrangea Punch-Around-the-Page
Cuttlebug - Fancy Corners, Chrysanthemum Quilling Kit
Stickles, and Pearls

This is a whopping 6 x 6 Easel Card with drawer. I found a tutorial here to make this card. Wanted to make extra something big enough to put extra flowers in the drawer. I thought this would be a great gift to give to someone who scrapbooks or is a cardmaker and fill the drawer with those handmade flowers. The other idea I had was to give it to a dog lover and put dog bones in the drawer...lol
Thanks for stopping by today. Please join us in the "Use Those Flowers" Challenge over at the Gingerloft Challenge Blog and check out Tami's fabulous Digi's here.

Fred She Said Daffodil Birthday Card

Can you tell that I have spring fever!!! This is just the beginning of what I have been working on. This is from the Fred She Said collection called "Spring Flowers" that you can find here. This is what I was talking about with my Copics. The light, the dark, and the shadow....trying to master that!!! Hope I can find some place around here to take a class in the fall.
Oh and let me tell you how much I love distress inking. I distressed this beaded spellbinders die with sage distress ink. I also distressed the frond leaves that I punched with my Martha Stewart punch. The branches and butterflies are also from Martha Stewart. The tag is a spellbinders fancy tags. The little flowers I got on clearance last year at Micheal's. The paper is a new release from K & Company. As you can see in this picture, I made an extra circle so that I can write my sentiment or include a picture of my family to the "Birthday" person. I like this little added touch! This card is 4-1/2" inches round and I created this custom box envelope to match. I am keeping the template because I have a feeling I will be making more of these cute little cards. Thanks for stopping by. I sure to appreciate your comments.

Fred She Said Rosie Heart Easel Card

Here is a little something I cooked up in my craft room this weekend. As a matter of fact, I have a few things I will be showing over the next few days. I am loving "Easel" cards. I haven't made very many, but I think now I am hooked.

I made this extra piece that slips under the middle for adding a personal message or a picture. The envelope box is 4 X 4 that you see in the foreground that I created especially for this card. The rose is rather chunky so this would not fit in a 4 x 4 envelope, it had to be an envelope box.

At least this time I kept my template for my next little easel like this. I made one of these boxes for the Digital Delights Card here but I guess I didn't keep my directions. It is made with a 7-1/2" piece of card stock. I will share the directions with the next one I make. Thanks for stopping in. I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come back again soon.
