MCT 88th New Release BIG Reveal & Blog Hop

But there is one more day of projects with so lets get started....

For my inspiration I get to showcase the FREEBIE set~ 

Peeking Bunny

Take a look at my project. and let me know what you think...

I just can not get over how ADORABLE the new Peeking Bunny die is!

To make this card, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die a piece of pink polka dot designer paper.

Next I used the Scalloped Stitched Square Die to make my focal point, popping that up onto the front of my card.

The cutie Peeking Bunny die was cut using kraft cardstock and the matching polka dot designer paper for the nose and ears. I did add some pink chalk to his cheeks and black cardstock for his eyes. He was also popped up onto the front of the card for some added dimension.

The grass, die cut using the Pretty Edge Dies was cut in green and re die cut using the Scalloped Square and then adhered under the bunny.

I added some pink/green/white Trendy Twine and the focal point of my card was completed.

For the sentiment, I used the newly released Basket Tag Die and Basket Tag Sentiments, die cutting that label die in white and stamping my sentiment in black. That too was popped up onto the card front.

I finished this card off with some matching pink and green enamel dots.

Day 2 of sneaks for the 88th New Release from My Creative Time!

I hope you all LOVED the inspiration from yesterday! Today the DT is showcasing 2 more awesome sets~

Basket Sentiments & Basket Tag Die

and here is my inspiration...

Sweetness PACKED into these 2 sets for sure! I used the new sets to make an Easter card and just love the adorable new sentiments and dies that come with these sets.

To make my card, I started with a kraft cardstock base, layered a piece of white cardstock and then die cut some designer paper using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die.

The basket was die cut using the same kraft cardstock and I did stamp the basket design using one of the new stamps in the set.

Once the basket was assembled I placed that aside to die cut the grass (Stitched Grass Die) and the Eggs (Basket Tag Die)

I layered the grass an adhered the basket, placing some eggs inside and some nestled into the grass.

The sentiment, along with the tag are also both part of the new sets.

A matching purple Trendy Twine bow on the basket completed my card.

Everyone Needs a Friend......{Trendy Twine Easter Card}

Good Morning and Happy Easter Everyone!

The Trendy Twine DT has some special Easter projects over on the blog to share today. You can see all of them HERE.

Here is the cutie card I made. 

I used the current My Creative Time Designers Challenge sketch for my card

(all the info on the challenge can be found HERE)

 

I LOVE making pom poms with my Trendy Twine so for that cute bunny I added a nice big fluffy Totally White Trendy Twine tail.  I wanted to add a bit more color to my card so I ended up wrapping around the card mat 2 times some Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine. The blue was almost an exact match to the designer paper I used and that little bit of pink added just the right amount of extra color I was looking for!

MCT Inspiration Wednesday~ EASTER Shaker Card

 Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!

It's time for another

My Creative Time Inspiration Wednesday.

If you are new to my blog or to what Inspiration Wednesday is all about, it is

where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration comes from a the recent Stretch Your Dies online class I took. I have not had much time to try out the new techniques that I have learned BUT I have watched all the videos and plan on using some of these techniques in upcoming projects :)

Anyways Jennifer McGuire made a beautiful CELEBRATE shaker card using alphabet dies so I thought I would use her tips and tricks to make an EASTER card.

I used the Uppercase Fun Dies to cut make the shaker windows and I filled each section with some pale green (hard to see in the picture) and pink sequins, silver stars and some pink seed beads.

Before filling the shaker part, I did stamp my sentiment. I used the one from the stamp set~To My Best Peep and masked off parts of the sentiment so I could add the sentiments above and below the shaker. I also wanted to keep with the Easter/Spring colors so I used the paint slatters to add some extra color to the otherwise plain card front.

For Some Bunny Special.....{Seize The Sketch #16}

Good Morning Everyone!

It is time for another Seize The Sketch Challenge.

Here is the new challenge sketch.....

And here is the card I made based on the sketch!

For my card I used the adorable Peachy Keen Stamp set~ Somebunny Special and paper pieced the bunny using designer paper from My Minds Eye~Blush paper pack. Following the sketch exactly, I used the Stitched Journal Die from My Creative Time for the mat of my sentiment and bunny and then added 2 banners using My Creative Time~Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  I added a bit of zig zag stitching to the top of the banner pieces as well, just for alittle something extra and colored in the bunny belly, tail and ears using my white gel pen. A bit of chalk to her sweet cheeks and some copic color to her nose and mouth and my card was completed.
