MCT Do Over Thursday~ Happy New Year!

Good Morning everyone and Happy New Year's Eve!
Today is the final day of 2015 and the MCT DT is doing our
"Do Over Thursday" where we remake a past project with some new MCT stamps and dies.
This is the card that I am remaking.....
you can find all the details HERE on how I made this. I LOVE this card but seeing that it is New Years Eve, I thought I would update this one to fit the day :)
Here is my new version of the card....
To make my card I started with a black cardstock A2 size card and layered it with a piece of gold metallic paper and then a white Stitched Rectangular Frame Die piece. Using the Circle Stitching Pattern Die, I added the circles by running it through my big shot.
For my glasses I used an older set that I completely forgot about~Cocktail Party Stitched Dies. I die cut the glasses in a fun glittery black paper and added some gold beverages to the inside...LOL! I wrapped some gold thread to add to the backside of the glasses and then embellished with some gold sequins.
To finish my card off, I stamped my sentiment using the Teeny Tag Holidays stamp set.
Cheers everyone to a wonderful end of 2015 and an awesome 2016!!

So there is my  "Do Over Thursday" card. Make sure to check out more inspiration over on the
Thanks so much for stopping in and  I will see you all in 2016!!

Happy New Year~ MCT Made in Minutes

Good Morning everyone!!!
It is time for another My Creative Time~ Made in Minutes!
With Christmas over for 2015 :(
I thought I would share a quick and easy
New Years shaker card....
To make my card I grabbed a piece of MME~Fancy That designer paper that had the pretty gold "polka dots" already on the page. I thought it looked like confetti and perfect for a New Years card. Since we are ringing in 2016, I grabbed the number dies from the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die and die cut them into the designer paper. Next I stamped the sentiment using the Happy Everything set. Before filling my shaker, I did die cut the banner and stamp the "happy" sentiment using the Chocolate Greetings set and placed that aside until I was ready to assemble my card.  And like I start all of my cards, I did use the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die for the card mat.
Now moving onto the shaker part....I am kinda obsessed with using glitter in my shakers lately! I was able to grab some Christmas gold/silver chunky mix from Michaels on clearance that was perfect for my new years card. It is so fun to add to shakers that have small spaces and moves so freely without getting caught in the sides like sequins can.
To make the shaker part, I used one of the More Stitched Rectangular Dies and lined it up with the numbers so I could die cut it into some Fun Foam. I attached it to the back on the card, after covering the numbers with a piece of acetate. Next I poured some glitter into the rectangular space and then sealed it all up again with another piece of acetate.
My card is all ready to be attached to the kraft cardstock base. One final step~ adding the sentiment banner to the front. I did that by taking the banner and tucking it inside the #2 to then lay across the rest of the numbers.

My card seems like it took longer to make than it actually did...maybe from start to finish 10 minutes??
It is a perfect card to mass produce and is sure to WOW anyone receiving it!

So there is my Made in Minutes card. Make sure to check out more inspiration over on the
Thanks so much for stopping in and have a GREAT Monday!!

MCT 50th New Release Sneak Day 3

Morning everyone and welcome back to Day 3 of sneaks for the
50th New Release from My Creative Time!
I hope you are all LOVING the new release sneaks!! These sets are just so AWESOME!!!

Today's sneaks from the DT are using the super ADORABLE new release set~
You're a Hit Valentine
*having a baseball player in the house totally makes this one of my new favorite sets*

For my card today, I made a valentine for my valentine...my baseball playing/loving son!
How adorable is that baseball kiddo?? I colored him using my prismacolor pencils and added the stitching to the heart he is holding...placing him aside to put my card together.
I used the new designer paper from DoodleBug Designs~Home Run. I die cut the mat using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die and then for some extra touches, I placed some eyelets in each of the 4 corners.
Next using some matching designer paper, I die cut a circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies which would hold my cutie baseball player.
Some Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine as more embellishing was wrapped around the card base 2 times and tied in a bow.
Finally for the sentiment, I used the die from the Fun Stitched Tag Dies, added the sentiment from the new You're a Hit Valentine set and stamped the stitches 2 more times onto the tag sides. It was then all popped up onto the front of my card.

Today the DT will be showcasing the new die set~
Mini Greeting Dies
This set is perfect for those go to die cut sentiments and I know you are all going to LOVE it!

'Tis the season for gift giving so for my project today I made a coffee inspired card with a place inside for a gift card.
I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock, then some designed paper from My Minds Eye~Cozy Christmas using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. Next using the newly released Stitched Postage Frame Dies (LOVE this set!!) I added another layer of designer paper from the same set. For the adorable coffee cup, I used the We're Better Together stamp and dies and paper pieced the cup with more of the matching designer paper. I added some embellishment to the cup using the Boughs of Holly dies and some stickles for extra sparkle.
Finally the "enjoy" die cut is from the new set~Mini Greeting Dies. Isn't the font and size just awesome?!?!
The inside (which I didn't snap a pic of) had a place for hold a gift card....I used the Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die .

Welcome to Day 4!!
For my project today I found a super cute 3D  Christmas tree in the Silhouette Store that holds some holiday treats! I cut the pieces out and put the box together using brown cardstock for the base and designer paper from Doodlebug Designs for the green tree.
To embellish my tree I grabbed a few older MCT stamps and dies! The sentiment is from the set "From Our Family to Yours" and fit perfectly on the base of the tree.
To make my ornaments, I used the small circle die from the "Loyal Friends" set and then to die hanger from the "Warm Holiday Fun" set (not revised set). I popped my ornaments up onto the tree and stung them all together using some Totally White Trendy Twine.
Finally my tree wasn't complete without a big bright star! I used one of the "Bunch of Stitched Stars" die and gave it some extra sparkle using my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you like my project for Day 4!

For all the details make sure you check out the post over at My Creative Time!
Welcome to Day 2!!
Today's projects are some fun stocking stuffers using the adorable mini hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works. They changed the shape of these from the last time I purchased them so I did a little altering on my holder to fit the new shape.
Project #1 is the holder I made using some simple shapes in the Silhouette studio. I cut all the layers using black cardstock and designer paper from Recollections and attached all the pieces. Placing my hand sanitizer inside the holder and tying it closed with some Totally Red Trendy Twine. For my tag I used the newer released Holiday Tags set. How adorable is that santa die cut??? I just LOVE it!
Project #2 is also one of the new hand sanitizers but this one just has a cute tag. Again I used the Holiday Tags for the candy cane die cut and the circle tag as well as using a slightly larger circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Die set. My tag was then tied onto the hand sanitizer using some Totally Black Trendy Twine.

I hope you like my project for Day 2!
*tip* for the day...little gifts like these hand sanitizers make awesome stocking stuffers and teacher gifts. Just grab a tag die and a sentiment or image and you can mass produce several tags just to have on hand for those last minute gifts!

My project for today is a simple card to make using gorgeous designer paper and some older stamps and dies.
To make my card I used some new paper I just picked up from MME called Cozy Christmas and die cut the paper mat using the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die
Next I grabbed the set Oh Deer and die cut the deer using some plain kraft cardstock. I didnt want my reindeer to be completely plain so I did add a red sparkle gem to his nose!!
Finally for the sentiment, I grabbed another older stamp/die set~ Chocolate Greetings
and used both the sentiment from that set as well as the banner die from that set.

Good Morning and welcome to Day 3 of sneaks for the
49th New Release from My Creative Time!
Boy is this week FLYING by but dont worry we still have a whole bunch of AWESOME projects to share and new release items to sneak :)

Today the DT is showcasing another 2 super FUN set2 that I know you will all LOVE
Date Night & Popcorn Background
OMG how fun is that background stamp?? It even comes with the matching die for the popcorn in case you want to die cut them out like I did for my card. To put my card together, I started with a piece of white cardstock for my mat die cut using the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. Next I used the new Popcorn Background stamp and added a border up the side of my card mat. Then using the same stamp, I stamped it onto some designer paper from Lawn Fawn and die cut a few of the random popcorn pieces out to "pop" them onto the front of the card. Next using the new Date Night set, I stamped the sentiment (one of several included in this set) onto my card as well as using the adorable heart and heart die from that set as well. I randomly stamped the heart onto my card and then die cut some matching hearts to pop up onto the popcorn as well.
I finished my card by using some Totally Black Trendy Twine and tying a simple big bow.

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***

MCT 49th New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the
49th New Release from My Creative Time!
What did you all think of yesterday's projects?? Pretty AMAZING right!!!
Today the DT is showcasing another super FUN set that I know you will all LOVE
Be Your Best Selfie
I couldn't help but use the cutie hashtag die and make a fun holiday gift. While I was out shopping the other day I ran into Bath & Body Works and saw the new holiday pocket hand sanitizers. One caught my eye....the cute #sELFie which I knew right away I had to have to match this new sentiment set. So I packaged it up in a clear pillow box (which by the way is the PERFECT size to hold these) and tied it all up with some Candy Cane Trendy Twine. Next I made a little tag to attach to my package. I used the Mini Chalkboard Tags and added the small pic die from the Picture Perfect set. For the mini ELF hat I took the santa hat die from the Classy Girl Accessories and die cut the pieces in green and red cardstock. Then to finish the tag up I used the hashtag die and die cut 3 different color cardstock pieces. I wanted the ELF part of the die to be a different color and really pop up on the tag.

Today we are showcasing the FREEBIE for this release~
 Hi Sweetie
as well as a new background stamps
Stripey Background!

I really LOVE doing CAS cards so for this one I used the new background stamp in a different way then I have before. I took the tag from the Holiday Tags set and used it to make a template so I could stamp only the shape of the tag using the background stamp. Then I used the FREEBIE stamp for the sentiment as well as the candy. I cut the candy  out using the matching die that also comes with the set Hi Sweetie. The candy was then popped up onto the front of my card, I added some random enamel dots and tied a big Trendy Twine Candy Candy bow.

Thoughtful Thursday w/My Creative Time

Good Morning everyone!
Today is Thoughtful Thursday over on the My Creative Time blog
a newer segment where the DT makes a  card or project centered around the... thinking of you, thank you, sympathy, etc theme :)
For my card I was inspired by Day 1 of the new Online Card Class~ Holiday Cards and Laurie Willison's gorgeous CAS card.
I started my card by using a piece of white cardstock  and taping off a diagonal section towards the top of the card. Then using some Cotton Candy ink, I tried to ink in a dark to light manner...starting at the top and working towards the taped off section.
Once the inking was to my liking, I pulled off the tape and made some random score marks...just for some extra detail.
Using the Friendships are Forever stamp/die set, I stamped my sentiment and then placed the die cut "friend" using the score lines as my guide.
Some matching enamel dots finish my card off for a very quick and CAS friendship card.

So what do you think????? Want to see more projects?
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

Manly Monday w/My Creative Time

Good Morning everyone and welcome to
My Creative Time's Manly Monday!
Many people find making manly cards hard...including myself!! As I was going through my "Stash" of MCT stamps and dies, I came across the What's Growing On? set that I had yet to play with. How perfect for MOVEMBER too...LOL! So for my card I went on the CAS side to make an easily reproducible manly card. I started with my all time favorite die~ Stitched Rectangular Frame Die & More for my card mat. Next I stamped the sentiment from the What's Growing On? set as well as die cut one of the stashes from that set also. I popped the stash up with some foam dots and then to finish off the front of my card I wrapped some Black Licorice Trendy Twine around the top for a simple bow.
Because of that fun sentiment on the front...I had to complete my card by stamping a cute response to it inside. Again using the same set~ What's Growing On?  I stamped my sentiment inside on another Stitched Rectangular Frame Die cut.

So what do you think????? A fun manly card using an AWESOME stamp/die set from MCT!
If you don't already own this one you MUST put it on your wishlist!!!

 Want to see more projects?
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

Sweets for my Sweet.....{MCT What a Treat Wednesday}

Good morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time's What a Treat Wednesday!
Halloween is so close so for my project today I made a fun treat that can me mass produced and would be so fun to hand out as a class treat!
How adorable are these lollipops??? These were so easy to put together...lets take a closer look at each one :)
First up is that cutie pumpkin. To make him I started out with a Orange Splash Original Gourmet lollipop and added a pumpkin face using some vinyl. Then I wrapped some Totally Brown Trendy Twine around the stick to look like the stem of the pumpkin and attached a Stitched Leave Die in between the twine. For my sentiment I used the newly released Mixed Just For You set and stamped it onto one of the Fun Stitched Tag Dies. To finish this lollipop off, I attached the tag to the stick using some Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine.
Now for my bat lollipop, I started off with a Juicy Grape Original Gourmet Lollipop and added some googly eyes to the front. Then using my Silhouette and a bat file from the store, I cut the wings and glued them onto my lollipop. So adorable right?!?!? Again I did the same thing with the sentiment, this time attaching it to the stick using some Grape Licorice Trendy Twine.

Friendships Are Forever
and here is what I made....
I used a Shadowbox frame from 7~Gypsies and altered it to give to my bestie! I used designer paper from Fancy Pants~Wonderful Day and several MCT stamps and dies.
I wanted 2 spots for pictures so I used the XL Label Die and the matching Stitched XL Label die for my picture mats. I stamped the sentiment using the new Friendships are Forever set, once part of the sentiment onto each picture mat. For the centerpiece, I die cut the heart and added the "bestie" die popped up into the middle. Some random sparkly enamel dots completed this section.
For the top panels of my shadowbox, I used matching designer paper and filled in each square. Then using the Stitched Squares die I added 1 to each of the outside boxes. These could either hold more pictures so a fun quote can be added to these. Finally for the center square I added a Stitched Pretty Flower~again coordinating the pattern papers to match then whole project.
