Another Sweet Birthday To Celebrate! Our little Lucas is now 3 ~ what!!!! seriously!!!  Here is Lucas sporting his new Jets Jersey, just like Grammpa :-) I know my card is really really busy, but then again, so is Lucas. Those adorable puppies from Paw Patrol are also very busy and is Lucas' favourite show! So we purchased him some Paw Patrol goodies and I needed to create a matching card...yes, our kids tease me about that all the time! I flipped the sketch from  Retro Sketches#199  and this Birthday card also goes along with the  Seize the Birthday  "Anything Goes" ~ thanks so much for popping by ~ have a wonderful weekend ~ If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a party I would love to come and stamp with you and your friends!! Or, if space is an issue, come here and create with me at one of my many clubs or classes! Drop me a line for further info! I'd love to meet you! Enjoy your day! Plea...

Our one and only little girl turns 2 next week! Katie is a sweet little cutie I found three fabulous challenges to play along with and thus began creating Katie's Birthday card! What a fun day of creating I had ~ knew I wanted a birthday card but didn't have a starting place so I went on a hunt to find the challenges that would fit with the Big Day stamp set ~ I found this great sketch to follow from  retro sketches #154   and then this wonderful color challenge at  Stampin' Royalty #268     I can't believe this is the first time I've used the Large Polka Dot EF ~ I fussy cut around the banner and used Dimensionals to give it some depth ~ coloured each letter in CAKE to go along with the color challenge and then added Crystal Effects to each letter ~ I am pleased with the finished card, but it does look much nicer IRL Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Jump on in and join these challenges ~ there is still time to play...so let's go!! Thanks so much for popping by today ~ I hope you have a great day ~ Happy Creating ~ If you live in Winnipeg or the vicinity and would like to host a par...

The Last Four Months

Image
It's been SO long since I've posted and created...the past four months have been crazy to say the least and the whirl wind continues...here is a quick synoptic of the last few months ~ May 2014 ~ We listed our much beloved home of 22 years and within 36 hours it was sold to a wonderful young family. We know they will love living there and raising their beautiful 3 girls as much as we have loved doing life and raising our children in the country! June 2014 ~ Packed and Purged our 3600 sq. foot home, what a daunting task, I never realized how much of a hoarder I was, very organized and tidy, but still a hoarder!!! Yikes!!! July 2014 ~ Packed more as we were coming closer to our exit date, sold most of our furniture...and now the house was really getting empty and beginning to echo ~ what an emotional time this was for me ~ I knew it was time to usher in a new season for Dean & I, but we loved doing life with our family & friends at 414 Leah! We hosted SO m...

For A Friend ~ CQC, RS & RC!

Image
Well I can't believe that I created a card along with three different challenges, that hasn't happened in quite some time...I just may be onto something great and wonderful as I begin a new season of stampin with my friends! Speaking of great beginnngs, that was the reason for this card that I created for our friend! My starting point was this great colour challenge at Colour Q Challenge #202 ...what fabulous colours for a male card!    Here is the sketch that I followed to create his card...found this one at Retro Sketches #76 ~ I love this site...well...I love them all ~ so much help for a starting place for me! After I had completed my card I realized that I also qualified for the challenge at The Ribbon Carousel which was to have a summer theme and to use ribbon/twine on your creations...well I thought the colours depicted summer and I used a piece of twine on the top panel of my card! So here is my card for our friend...it's all about faith and t...

Retro Sketches #25 and a sad good bye

What a fun night of creating we had last night. The day began at the pool in the after noon, as the rest of the girls came, I fired up the BBQ, we ate and laughed and shared stories! We then headed downstairs and created a fabulous card ~ oh how I love my time with the girls!!! Or as Isaac calls them "the ladies" ...but the evening was bitter sweet for me ~ one of 'my ladies' is moving to the west coast ~ I will miss creating with you Theresa! My farewell card for Theresa began with this wonderful sketch from Retro Sketches ~ I love the sketches found here ~ Play along...you'll really enjoy your time...great for missing mojo...which is definitely  what I struggle with...so here is the awesome sketch that I followed... And my card for Theresa...gonna miss you girl xo :-) As you can see, I flipped a few of the elements...hope that was okay girls! Sorry for this super quick post...Angela is speaking at camp this week and I'm hangin...

Stamping 411 Challenge + Retro Sketch #19

Image
I'm so excited to play along with two challenges today ~ I've never played with the sketches over at Retro Sketch and I just LOVE these sketches and then found this colour challenge over at Stamping 411 ...come join in the fun and get creating!!!! You'll have a blast, I promise! What a fun day I've had ~ sat on my riding mower, cut the grass (takes about 2 hours) ~  I find it really relaxing for me, time to ponder, pray for those I love and sometimes I catch myself singing my heart out...my poor neighbours! Then I went for a dip in the pool, relaxed with a nice tall ice water and began to knit by the pool ~ sunny and hot and yes, I was under my beach umbrella ~ Dean is away on a fishing trip and so the house is extra quiet, the kids all had plans, so I was alone all day and was it ever quiet and relaxing...almost too quiet, almost!!! I strolled into the house around 8pm and headed to my studio to create a birthday card for a dear friend of ours ~ and yes ~ another...
