Stampin' Chez Moi

What a crazy week we've had...packed up my FIL...moved him down the hall to a one bedroom in the same building ~ but when I unpacked, I went through EVERYTHING, I purged, sorted, reboxed things for my SIL & BIL and then as I cleaned I put things away. We went over on Thursday evening and moved everything into the new suite, left a path for dad so he could get to the washroom...and then I came back at 8am on Friday morning...7pm....DONE!!! So now I'm on a roll ~ slowly stared in my craft room on Saturday evening, then after church and lunch, I went back in...today is a holiday for us, so by 8am I was back in here...5pm DONE!!! Every stone was turned over, dusted, put back or thrown away! WOW!!! Now it's tidy in here and I want to create a card for my Mother's Birthday...let's see how well I do with putting my toys away when I'm done! I do tend to explode when I create, I try not to...but just can't seem to get a handle on that. Do you explode acro...

I am So excited I can hardly contain myself.....I signed up for Convention in July....first time going, I don't know what to expect (although my dear friend LeAnne has shared some valuable info...thanks LeAnne) and so here's what's happening so far! My DH and I are escaping town (a well needed vacation for both of us) ~ we are loading the RV and road tripping to Utah ~ road trips are our favourite vacation times ~ once we get to Utah, I have NO idea where to go as I don't have a room booked, don't have a roommate and don't know a soul ~ so I'm on my own! If I don't find a place to stay for convention, Dean will drive me each morning and pick me up late in the evening ~ I hope if this ends up being the outcome, that I won't feel like I missed out on Convention, but sleeping on a park bench, just doesn't sound to comfortable to me! I found this fabulous challenge at the Friday Mash Up #65....and I was definitely feeling punchy as well,    so this was just too perfect and I had to join in the fun! I really tried to challenge myself as well, by using Bright colours, this is definitely out of my comfort zone and I'm still not to sure how I feel about my card ~  I began by looking in my stash of paper...do I ever have paper....almost embarrassing already! So I looked in my discontinued files after looking at our old SU colour wheel. I knew I wanted to start with Gable Green as my main colour! and so the wheel said...Pixie Pink & Apricot Appeal...and I'm going to create using these colours....are you kidding!!!
