Stampin' Chez Moi

I had the BEST day EVER today ~ my girlfriend came over at 10:15am and the creativity was flowing ~ my girlfriend made two amazing cards (should've taken a picture of us creating)...I love watching her create ~ out with the sketch she's wants to follow ~ a little tweak here and another there and there it is ~ another STUNNER...and yes, should have taken a picture ~ DUH!!!  Thanks for the best day my friend ~ I am blessed beyond words :-) and then I found a sweet sketch to follow, although it wasn't open any longer, but I was on a roll and lovin' the sketch and the card that I was CASing .... thanks for your amazing card LeAnne ... I hope you're okay with me using your card for inspiration ~ your card is absolutely stunning ~ love your creativity so much...so wonderful to see what you share! Thanks So here's my cards that were inspired by LeAnne's card and the sketch at Just Add Ink I created each of these just a bit different ~ the top card...

I'm not sure about you, but I have to admit ~ I do get excited when it's a rainy day in spring...stampin' here I come! It could be that we have a large yard and large gardens, so I really don't mind the break. I ran around and got the errands done and scooted home to my studio! What a great day! I found two great challenges to play with ~ Friday MashUp & Latenight Stamper's Challenge 222 ! Friday Mash Up used this sketch and also asked us to make a set of cards ~ I did two identical ones, so I'm thinking that I actually did a Mash! Love this sketch BTW! The Latenight Stamper's Challenge was to use retiring colors, so I got to work using, River Rock, Not Quite Navy & Bravo Burgundy...gonna miss you! I also used retired stamp sets, and I'll be hangin' on to these for sure....I really struggled with this as I was creating a male card and still don't know how I feel about it ~ just toooo simple I guess, but it's a wrap regard...

I really seem to be having a hard time getting into the fall groove...must be the summer like temperatures that we're having ~ 25C on Friday (77F) ~ so needless to say, the pool is still open and we'll be celebrating Angela & Kevin's Birthday's with a pool/BBQ Bash! But I did get some stampin in last night...my DH is so sweet, he came downstairs and watched his shows while I created, he said "I just want to be near you"...I'm blessed... So the two challenges that I entered are... Freshly Made (love this blog) ~ the challenge was an Anniversary Celebration, and here is the sketch that I chose to use, but I flipped it on it's side & the Colour Q # 154 ! I'm so excited to play along with two challenges today ~ I've never played with the sketches over at Retro Sketch and I just LOVE these sketches and then found this colour challenge over at Stamping 411 ...come join in the fun and get creating!!!! You'll have a blast, I promise! What a fun day I've had ~ sat on my riding mower, cut the grass (takes about 2 hours) ~  I find it really relaxing for me, time to ponder, pray for those I love and sometimes I catch myself singing my heart out...my poor neighbours! Then I went for a dip in the pool, relaxed with a nice tall ice water and began to knit by the pool ~ sunny and hot and yes, I was under my beach umbrella ~ Dean is away on a fishing trip and so the house is extra quiet, the kids all had plans, so I was alone all day and was it ever quiet and relaxing...almost too quiet, almost!!! I strolled into the house around 8pm and headed to my studio to create a birthday card for a dear friend of ours ~ and yes ~ another...

What a fabulous fall we have had thus far ~ summer weather in October! It is beautiful outside and finding time to stamp is at a premium ~ I love being outside when it's fabulous out ~ but I did take the time to enter my studio in the evenings, so needless to say, this took a couple of evenings to put together and then shot these pictures outside ~ I don't know about you, but stamping is therapy for me ~ I hope you enjoy what I created, I'm super pleased with this card! The gals at SUO Challenge 29 are calling for leaves and then I found a fabulous color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments #87  . Sure hope you pop in on these two wonderful challenge blogs and play along! I love my new Simply Scored tool and so took advantage of my little markers and scored away. This is just a standard 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 CS, scored at 2 1/8 & 6 7/16...mark your spot and you're good to go....easy peasy!!!! Love it!!! I colored my wheelbarrow and veggies using my Blender Pen and also...
