Stampin' Chez Moi

I needed a new Birthday card pronto, so I got to work this morning, found some challenges that I wanted to join and had a blast playing along! Seize The Birthday (Anything Goes), Freshly Made Sketches and a wonderful color challenge at IN(K)SPIRE me , is where my inspiration was birthed! there is still time to play, so why don't you join in the fun! Here's my birthday card ~ I actually don't own Blackberry Bliss or Lost Lagoon (shocking, I know), so I used rick Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay ~ hope that's okay! I think I went to little too stamp crazy on my Sahara Sand CS, now that it's complete, I'm wishing I would have stamped a little less with my colors ~ I know my brother will love this though! thanks so much for popping by ~ have a wonderful day! It was so much fun to play in my studio yesterday ~ the house is still upside down, but I did my best to put that thought on ignore! I did have a hard time focusing and it took me all day to create an Anniversary card for my wonderful parents!   I found a great sketch at the  Inkspirations Challenge , they have wonderful challenges that you really need to check out! My colors were inspired by the  UDI Color Challenge  and they also have a wonderful blog that really deserves a visit! I don't know about you, but I find it really difficult to get my creative juices flowing after I've been out of my studio for awhile ~ and I really felt it yesterday ~ but I was determined and kept playing until I was please with the out come.  So without any further delay ~ here is my creation ~ It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday, so outside I went to take these photo's ~ and yes, it was very hard for me to be in the house on such a nice day, I love to play in my garde...

 Anything goes at Paper Players. ...are you kidding...I actually had an idea in my head as to what I wanted to do ~ this was just too perfect and also a first for me. I usually need a visual to go by and from there I'm able to create ~ wow! I'm so excited that the visual this time was already steeping....literally! and I've got a certain special someone in mind and some of her favourite things are the colors blue & yellow and a extra hot cup of tea! When I saw the Color Throwdown for this week, I knew it was exactly what I needed color wise! So here is my card that has been created for her with much love & prayer as I played with this!  Hope you like it my dear friend? I colored in each teacup using my Bashful Blue & So Saffron write markers  and then used Crystal Effects on each.  Don't you just love china teacups.. ..a nice hot cup of Earl Grey Tea is the best in a cute little teacup! First I found the Sketch Challenge at Stamping 411 and then the colors at Stamp-A-Holics ...and was I ever challenged. I shuffled, reshuffled, went this way and then that way and just about called it quits, but then really rose to the challenge, put my head down and got to some serious playing...here are the colors that are being called for...can I do this? and the sketch challenge from Stamping 411 ~ love the sketches that are given,  it really helps me with a starting point.  So here's my card...still not sure how I feel about it, but she... is absolutely adorable! What a beautiful stamp set ~ it's a must have in my mind! I grabbed my Tulip Border Punch and added a garden of tulips to the inside of my card! What a fun day of stampin' ~ we went out for dinner with friends to celebrate Dean's Birthday, what a great day! Two times the fun for the day and then Two challenges in one! Stamping 411 Sketch  and then the Color Inspiration , so is this called Double Dipping! So this actually ends up being a little sneak peek for my up coming Birthday Stack Class ~ so Darlene....shhhhh. She is one of my faithful friends and checks up on me often! Love you my friend!   I Shimmer misted each of my Cupcake Toppers and then I added CE to each of the cherries (loving that look....quess I've been using CE a lot lately, can't seem to get away from it)!
