Stampin' Chez Moi

It was so much fun to play in my studio yesterday ~ the house is still upside down, but I did my best to put that thought on ignore! I did have a hard time focusing and it took me all day to create an Anniversary card for my wonderful parents!   I found a great sketch at the  Inkspirations Challenge , they have wonderful challenges that you really need to check out! My colors were inspired by the  UDI Color Challenge  and they also have a wonderful blog that really deserves a visit! I don't know about you, but I find it really difficult to get my creative juices flowing after I've been out of my studio for awhile ~ and I really felt it yesterday ~ but I was determined and kept playing until I was please with the out come.  So without any further delay ~ here is my creation ~ It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday, so outside I went to take these photo's ~ and yes, it was very hard for me to be in the house on such a nice day, I love to play in my garde...

I was SO excited to receive my new Bigz L Fun Flower die ~ and I knew the minute it arrived, I'd be playing with my toy right away! When I saw the color challenge a few days ago from the Color Throwdown #131 , my wheels started turning as to what I was going to created ~ but... I was still waiting for my order to arrive...but I've got the colors down! Yipee!!! my order arrived and away I went...or so I thought! I knew where I wanted to go with this, but still really needing the help of sketch challenge as to exactly where to go...and wouldn't you know it...woke up the other morning and there was my template from Stamping 411 #193 ! So last week I went to enter a challenge and realized that I was one day late ~ not sure if that happens in your world, but it is definitely a reality in mine. So when I saw the color challenge at Stacey's blog,  Curtain Call Act 7 1 & the  OCC Challenge is Distress to De-Stress, I was bound and determined to pay close attention! So with one day to spare, I'm ready to go  ~ here are the color's that Stacey was asking for ~ and the challenge at OCC was to de-stress your creation along with a sketch to follow ~  ~ and here is my card ~ Still not sure how I feel about what I created, but decided to post it anyway! I created this anniversary card following the color challenge from CQC #71 for a darling friend of mine.  She is an extremely creative gal and loves anything elegant, vintage, pearly (it that a word?)...anyway, I think you get the idea ~ she is one classy girl! This is my first attempt at 'elegant' and I'm very pleased with the outcome!  This is the color challenge ~ Perfect for a vintage card...just her style...and then this morning I noticed this challenge from PPA #80, this was just too perfect to pass up, so the challenge from PPA was called  Vintage is in vogue!  Sure hope you like it my sweet friend :-) I just love the interesting fold that I did for this card! Sketch Challenge #179 from Stamping 411 is absolutely fabulous ~ you should really play along with the designers! I had a blast this afternoon ~ I really needed a break from Christmas Cards, so I rolled up my sleeves, got the music going.....and got to work! I used Dimensionals to pop each of the panels on my card and heat embossed each with a copper EP, it's really difficult to see the effect, but IRL it's quite stunning! On the inside I stamped tone on tone, using Elements of Style and then stamped my Sentiment over it using Close To Cocoa. I received a beautiful card in the mail this week and LeAnne had done this on the inside of my card, wow, what a beautiful effect....so....note to self.....remember this and do it!  Who doesn't like Bling...I knew I needed to play along when I found this at  Pals Paper Art s and then found a sketch that I really wanted to create from Stampin 411 ~ so here are the two challenges that entered.   Be sure to pop by tomorrow and have a peek at a tag box that I created to hold Christmas Gift Tags ~ I'll be teaching that class in November ~ sure hope you can join in the fun! The bling on the flower, stem and leaves doesn't really show up well in this photo, but IRL it looks gorgeous and sparkles, sparkles, sparkles! I created this with an Anniversary Card in mind, but I think this would also make a stunning Wedding Card.
