Pumpkin Treats

Hello! Well, Blogger is acting weird again-wouldn't let me type above my picture! So, I'll just type here!~
I've done some fall cards, but now want to work in earnest on Halloween cards! I just love making them, because I love color!
Here's my beautiful (and favorite) new background stamp. It's Impressions Obsession's Cover a Card gingham. I want to stamp it tone on tone in every color!! But, this time I used Cayenne on Pumpkin Pie again. The yellow piece was laying around from another project so I grabbed that for more color. Then I cut my Marianne die from black-makes it look like iron! Was going to use ribbon, but then pulled out my Halloween punches and pulled out the spider web ~ That's it!
The focal image is from High Hopes. Mine came from Stamp and Create. Blogger won't let me link right now, but I'll put the link in later! Sorry!
I used Yrs for my pumpkin-YR20, 21, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18. then I used some E35 on the left (shadow) side. The hat is Cs-the odds. I used Y18 on the star and moon then some YR14.
Guess that's it! It's a busy day-Dave's brother is coming for lunch then a friend's son's Eagle Scout ceremony! Not much more crafting time today, but I'm trying!
Have a great day yourself!!

Happy Birthday with High Hopes!

Hi and happy Saturday! Hope you are having a splendid weekend!
I am working on using some of my unused stamps these days. I buy so many that I love and then they sit unused-virgin rubbbah! Also trying to play in some challenges so I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a GREAT sketch! It'll work for rectangle or square cards. Since mine is for a boy I kept it pretty close to the sketch. I'm also posting it for the High Hopes challenge which is to use fall colors. I think orange, purple and green count as fall colors.
I used copics to color my image and after that this simple card came together pretty quickly. Still have to do the inside though.
I used YG markers for the frog, RV for his shirt and the warm greys for his pants. If you would like to know more specifically, just let me know and I'll post them.
Thanks so much for coming by today!
Enjoy your day!

High Hopes!

Hello! I need a card like this for a friend going through a rough time right now! It's not me, but I'm having issues too! I'm sorry I haven't been around much! (I always feel badly whenb I lose followers :( Thanks to you for sticking with me!

We enjoyed a wonderful family camping weekend in the Finger Lakes region! I can now call it annual because we've had two! I've probably mentioned that I have 5 brothers and sisters and we all like each other even though we are in our 50s and 60s!! Once we lost our parents it became hard to all get together without a "home base".

Anyway, somewhere along the wine tasting on Friday I lost my camera! I'm using my husbands (which was a hand me down from me a couple of years ago! Yep, dinosaur! It's not synced up to my laptop so now I'm working on the desktop! Yep, dinosaur!

This is an older High Hopes image from when you could order directly from them! I cannot find it on the internet, but I think you can special order from 7 kids college fund. For some reason I am not even able to link up the store! Sorry!! (Did I mention I hate this computer!?)

I used the Splitcoast sketch for this week, which is a very easy and nice one for a larger image like this one.

Thanks again for visiting me! I appreciate it so much! Working on a special project for Monday, Aug 23, but I'll try to be back before then!

Have a GREAT day! Cheryl

Hello and happy, happy Saturday! I'm off doing something fun with my family and I sure hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!
!

Sometimes you just get lucky! I had made this High Hopes elephant piece for an ATC challenge some time ago. When I was cleaning up the studio I came across it and happened to lay it on this scap of dotted MME paper! Loved it!

Found the sketch online (Sweet Sunday, I think) and the card came to life! Hope you like it too!

Thanks for dropping by!~ I appreciate it soooooo much!!

Huggable Hank...err Marty!

Hi stampin' friends! Well, this card is one of my favorite non Magnolias that I've made lately! This is Huggable Hank fro High Hopes, but the card is for our Great nephew, Marty who turns 5 on Saturday! I kept the embellishments to a minimum 'cuz what does a 5 year old care about that stuff! The rope is what Marty would use to tie poor old Hank up within minutes!

The inside sentiment (an oldie) says, "This hug's for you!" Happy birthday!
My copic colors are YG01, YG91, YG93 and a little YG97. The lavendar wings are BV000, BV11, Bv13. I used some Woo and W2 around him and on his nails and spikes. I see spots I could have blended more, but I'm pretty happy with him!
Answers to a couple of questions:
I drew the black lines around the injured dog on Saturday's post (no stamp)
My HP Printer that I got last year (before researching!) is a great printer, but since it feeds through the front it would not feed through the heavier paper that I wanted to print on. It simply required the paper to make too sharp a curve as it went around the printer. The rear tray means the paper slides down through with hardly any bending-Easy-peasy printing :)
Thanks for asking-ask anything you're wondering about-I know I leave things out or don't explain them well!
Enjoy your day!! Cheryl

In Love with Maynard!

Hi everyone! This is my valentine for my DH and it's finished early! Yeah! I decided to use unconventional valentine colors with this great little dragon! Michelle sent me a few images of him to work with! Thanks, Michelle! I want to color him in every color and hope to own this image soon! My papers are Basic Grey Sugar Rush-the green is a 12 x 12 sheet and the orange is from the pad. I also used Kraft cs and Pumpkin Pie card stock. I did some more sewing! Of course, he is colored with my copics and stickles added!
I'm so sorry-I've misplaced the list of colors that I just had an hour ago! If I find it I'll post my colors.
Really glad today is Friday-ready for the weekend. It's cold and snowy-why not stay home and papercraft!? That's my plan!
Have a great day!

Lobster, photos and don't forget!

Hi all! I had to be at work today and for the next 3 days after so am scheduling some posts (I hope!) My pictures aren't great, but this is a clear card that I made to send to the people who own the motel where we stay in Maine. We've gone back to the same place for seven years now and just love it there.
(This card also covers a couple of challenges this week-SCS Dare to Get Dirty had a clear card challenge over the weekend and High Hopes challenge this week is to use sparkle and shine on a card! I covered both sparkle and shine because you can see the sparkle on the lobster, but I also made his black rubber boots shine! (Remember I told you we love lobster? I had nine on our vacation!)
The inside of the card:

Here are a few pictures of the many I took from our trip! I always take lots of scenery! I hate having my picture taken so we end a trip with only one or two of us.
This is the sunrise at the beach where we stay
(left)

Below is the most beautiful Portland Head Light just south of Portland, ME and only a 20 minute drive from where we stay. It's gorgeous!

And this is a picture of the pier that is about a half mile beach walk from us. There is a restaurant at the end and lots of little shops as you walk out.

That's it for today, except for the
Don't forget! And that is
Don't forget to see yesterday's post and leave a comment to enter to win my blog candy for 50,000 hits!

Bewareth Ye!!

ETA: Please click on picture to enlarge, I made it the wrong size to see well.
This card is 5" x 5", in case youwere wondering!

Good morning! Well, I treated myself to a card just for me! I love this image from High Hopes and hope you do too! This is Albert and he is available HERE!
Inside I used the sentiment that can be combined with any of Chrissy's dragons-Bewareth Ye of Dragons for thou art crunchy!
Isn't that terrific!
The dp is from Fancy Pants and I use Papertrey Inks Berry sorbet for the cuttlebugged panel and Summer sun for the Nestability behind Albert. I painted his tummy with Angel Wings shimmerz and his wings with Stardust Stickles. My Nestability came from 7 Kids College Fund. She has them for a great price and lots of other stuff, too!
I'll keep today's post short since I was so long winded yesterday! Thanks for all the great comments and I DO hope you'll participate in the Copic Creations Challenge by July 14th. Details and links are below if you need them.
Have a terrific Thursday! Oh, and check out Michelle's blog for more great High Hopes cards! she is fabulous! Mommy Time

Pizza my Heart

I've been planning to post all week, but have been busy getting projects made (well, started!!) for the 2nd Western New York SCS Galhering. My friend, Lisa, mentioned that it is only 9 days away and that was yesterday! Yikes! My 33 card fronts are done now and I've started on my #D swap. No pictures until after the gathering!
This cute High Hopes stamp is what I used for my DH's Anniversary card. Inside says, "You have a Pizza my heart!" He actually has my whole heart, but isn't that cute! He liked it!
I've colored Luigi here with copics and used Brilliant Blue (not my favorite color!) with red. The dp is Graphic 45.
Please keep visiting! I'm determined to get a Magnolia or two posted very soon!

High Hopes Make it Fuzzy challenge

Hi! I made this card earlier in the week for my Great nephew who turned 4 years old on March 4. I also made it to fit challenge 20 on the High Hopes Blog.
It was to make a card with something fuzzy! Can you see it? I used tan Fun flock to make his boots suede! I love them!
Here's my close up! I used ALL High Hopes stamps from the Jungle Release a while back and copic markers to color.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to get lots of stamping time in tomorrow! How 'bout you?
Wish we were gaining an hour by changing our clocks rather than losing an hour, but it will be worth it when it stays lighter in the evening! Happy Daylight Savings Time!
