Cadet Blue and Texas Too: Quaker Quilts on Kindle

I have added another title to my Kindle bookshelf.

Cadet Blue and Texas Too

This story took longer than I thought to finish.  The story has unfolded on this blog.  I bought the first quilt way back in 2015. That was an interesting blog post because it turns out that my initial assumptions about the quilt have been mostly proved to be wrong.

I discovered the second quilt in 2016 when pictures of it were shared on Facebook.  Two quilts from one family, made twenty years apart and showing up in the same Facebook group nearly one hundred years later. What a happy co-incidence!

Then in 2017 I was able to add Quilt #2 to my collection and the two quilts now live side by side happily ever after.

The story revealed by the research is amazing.  The e-book has just been released on Kindle.  Remember you don't need an actual Kindle to download, I use the Kindle app on my phone.  USA readers can get it here, and Australia readers can get it there.

It's not a long book, you will need two or three cups of tea to finish it.  And if you are able to share on your social media account, I would be very grateful. I hope you enjoy it!

The Godey's Lady's Best Bits Book

My newest e-book is live and ready to roll.

It's collection of some of the best bits of the Godey's magazine and demonstrates what it was like to be a woman of the 19th century.

"This is the ‘Lady’s Book’ par excellence. We admire this work, for the plain and simple reason that, like refined, polished, and virtuous female society, it powerfully tends to improve the manners and mend the heart"

It's a Kindle book but you don't need a Kindle to download it - I download to my phone.

Prices are US $2.56 / Aust $3.53 / UK £1.96.

And if you do get a copy, please let me know if you like it.

Hurray! A New E-Book!

I am very excited to announce a new title in my Kindle Series (of 2).

You can find it on Amazon - Quilt Block Houses.

It's $0.99 on the US website and $1.31 in Australia.  If you want to wait two weeks there is going to be a FREE special, but you could spend a dollar now if that's too long to wait.

And, if you could, leaving a rating when you finish reading is most appreciated.  Ratings make social media run faster.

Free E-Book is #1 on Kindle Quilts

This week has been very exciting.  My E-Book is free on Kindle for a limited time only.

All the stories from the Chester Criswell Quilt are in the e-book "Round is the Ring That Has No End".  For the next few days you can download the book from Amazon to your Kindle at no charge.  If you don't have a Kindle you can download the app and read the book on your tablet or smartphone.

The promotion has been running for two days and the book is rating very well.  I don't know about you, but I think if quilting books were best sellers the world would be a better place.

The more downloads the higher the rating, and positive reviews on Amazon also add to the ratings.  A nice Amazon review is always appreciated.

Unfortunately the e-book doesn't have the quilt block patterns.  If you want the patterns they are always available at the Two Bits Patches website.  And the pattern for Block 1 is always free.

Happy dance. Go me!

Helpful hint: You can still be the first to review this item. ;)
