Love You No Matter What

Hello friends!
I have a sweet card today that I made for my hubby using some products from Whimsy Stamps.  It uses the adorable die cut called, Happy Couple Die set.  I used black paper and gave it a coating of glossy accents.  The background was done with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and the Floating Hearts Cover Plate Die.    I paired it with a cute gingham ribbon.
I have been slowly getting back to my craft room.  I managed to make a Halloween project that I am anxious to share with you soon!  I also went back to school this week, as life continues to go on.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today.

Whimsy Stamp's October Release!

Hello friends! It is October 1st and that means it is time for Whimsy Stamp's new releases!  The set I used today is called, FaDoodle Fall.  I love these little spiders! I inked up the background using Tim Holtz inks in Wilted Violet and Carved Pumpkin.  I stamped the spiders and webs directly over it.  I cut out the image using the Wonky Stitched dies.  I adhered it to the new 6 x 6 papers called, Autumn Hues.

I couldn't resist adding black flock to the spiders as well as some googly eyes!

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to stop by Whimsy Stamps to see the entire release!

Trick or Treat!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!
I have a card to share with you using some fun new Halloween dies and stamps from Whimsy!
I created my background first using Tim Holtz Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean.  I spritzed it with a bit of water and blotted it with a paper towel. I used the new Haunted Graveyard Border die with black paper and adhered it to the bottom of my card, cutting any excess off.
I added a large spiderweb and matching spider from the Spiders and Webs Die set.  I added a coating of glossy accents to the spider and white gel pen highlight. I stamped the sentiment from the Trick or Treat House stamp set, directly on the moon with Versarmark ink and embossed it in black. I tucked it behind the border and added a pumpkin sequin from the Creepy Sparkletz collection.  I adhered a few rhinestones for a finishing touch.

If you love Halloween, Whimsy Stamps is the place to check out!!

Dream

Happy Labor Day Weekend to you!
I have a card to share with you that is a bit different than I usually make.  I am not sure why, but I was in the mood to play and get grungy.  I wanted a different take on Whimsy Stamp's FaDoodle Rainbows. I stamped each section and used my Karin Brushmarkers to water color.  I cut out each section. Once dry I gave it a splatter of black and white paint.  The background was water colored using Tim Holtz inks in Kitch Flamingo, Wild Honey, and Mustard. Once that was dry I gave it a splatter of black paint.  I used the Sun Rays Stencil and Crackle Texture paste over it. I pulled out my very dusty sewing machine to add a zig zag stitch.
Everything was mounted with Crafty Foam Tape.  I added a piece of doily behind the rainbow, glitter to the clouds, and a few stars.   I stamped the sentiment and added a teeny heart from the Sweetheart Sprinkletz collection.
It was fun to do something a bit different every now and then...take a step out of your comfort zone so to speak!
I am heading downtown today to pick up Cortney for a swim party. Can't wait to give my girl a hug today! Have a great day friends!

Summer Vibes!

Good morning!
I am in my second week of summer school and really enjoying only having 10 kids! ;)
I have a new card today using the absolutely adorable new Whimsy set called, Gnomes at the Beach.  She was colored with Copics and fussy cut.  For the background I used some Distress inks and the new Slimline Cornered Rectangle dies. For the corner embellishment I used an old seagull button and clip.  (I've been going old school lately with the buttons!) :)
For the sentiment I used the new Cutie ABC Die set.  I used Distress inks, coated each letter with glossy accents and "dipped" them in sand.  Once dry, they were adhered to the card.  I added a scattering of teeny hearts from the Sparkletz collection.
Be sure to check out Whimsy's June release! So much summer fun!
Have a great day!

Slimline Gossip Girls Christmas!

Hi friends!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! This year was very different for us, as I am sure it has been for all of you too. Cortney hasn't been able to come home since February, but she is happy and healthy at Misericordia.  No one came over for dinner, so we chatted on Zoom and had a glass of champagne together.  Through all of this chaos, I do feel extremely blessed.  As my grandmother used to say, "This too shall pass."
I've had a bit of time here and there in my craft room and used this awesome Gossip Holiday Girls set again.  I colored them in using Copics and added white flock for a bit of texture
I framed each girl using the new Selfie Die set in red and gold.  To "ground" the images, I used the Slimline Fancy Frame Die set and gave it a pinkish hue using Tim Holtz Festive Berries ink.  I splattered it with water.  I added gold sequins, silk ribbon, and gold jingle bells.
For added dimension, I popped everything up using Shaker Maker Foam Tape.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Be sure to pop over to Whimsy to see all of their new products!

Slimline Penguin Party!

Good morning friends!
Today it is feeling a bit wintery as we have gotten our first snowfall here in Chicago.
So how about a little penguin party to celebrate!
This adorable set is by Whimsy Stamps, called, Happy Feet.  Each penguin was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.
I used the new Funky Frames Die set.  Each frame was inked up with Tim Holtz inks.  I splattered a bit of water on it.  The background inside the frame was done in blues to create the sky.

The frame hangs on a teeny peppermint from the Santa's Treat Sprinkletz collection.

I popped up the frame and the penguins using Shaker Maker FoamTape.  For a finishing touch I tied a vertical red ribbon and gold jingle bells.

Be sure to head over to Whimsy to see their full November release!
Have a great day!

Enjoy The Journey

Hello!
I am sharing a slim line card today using a brand new die from Whimsy Stamps! This fabulous die set is called Cityscape.
I first inked up a panel of card stock with Tim Holtz inks in Candy Apple, Shaded Lilac, and Carved Pumpkin.  I spritzed it with water and flicked a bit of white acrylic paint. I cut the pieces out of black, silver and gold paper.  The clouds and vehicles were cut out of water color paper and given a bit of color with Tim Holtz inks.  I added glossy accents to the clouds and cards.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it in white.  I added a simple white bow to finish off the card.
Have a Great Monday!

Creepy Halloween Doll!

Hello friends!
Whimsy Stamps has released some of the coolest Halloween sets ever this month!
How about this Creepy Dead Dolly set?
I stamped her and the eyeball and then masked them both.  I added various Tim Holtz inks to the backgound and "blotched" some silver Shimmerz spray over the top.  I colored the images with Copic markers. I added a bit of pen detail to the eyeballs to make them blood shot.  ;)
Glossy accents was added to the eyeballs.  I added a few sparkly bats from the, Build-a-Graveyard set, to the background and stamped the sentiment on black card stock.  It was embossed in white.  Since I had a bit of silver in the background I added strip of silver glitter paper above the sentiment.
I so appreciate your visits here!
Thank you!
