I Love Backgrounds

I guess you can tell by the number of acrylic, stamped. and painted backgrounds I use that I love making backgrounds.  Here is another using some of the Cover All stamps from Impression Obsession.
Here is a card  using Criss Cross,Vines and Dottie Argyle stamps from Impression Obsession.  In the corner is a grouping of leaves topped with a bow.  I have entered this card in their "Backgrounds" challenge
Here us a close-up of the background.  .

Friendship Card

Below is a card and its close-up that I made for the Impression Obsession challenge "Friendship".  The background was made with two Impression Obsession cover-all stamps.  They are Ticking, and Vines.  I recently made six backgrounds using the same three inks, a light plum, olive green and blue.  Each is entirely different, but all are lovely.

Stampaway 2014

In the next couple of weeks I will be posting some cards which were made directly from attending Stampaway 2014.  Last week I attended the conference and had so much fun taking a couple of classes and meeting in person a number of my "internet friends".

The first booth I want to mention is the Impression Obsession booth.  It was there that Melinda (sorry I didn't get your last name) was showcasing the IO Cover-All stamps.
She did such a wonderful job that I came away with an armful of Cover-All stamps.

Impression Obsession is having a challenge this week of "Clean and Simple" so I decided to try my hand at entering.  I wanted the background to be the spotlight of the card so I placed a simple banner on my card with an epoxy sticker that says "inspire" along with a couple of stick-on flowers.  I thought this was appropriate since Melinda so inspired me last week.  I placed everything on a light blue card base to bring out the blue in the patterned background.  A darker blue was used in the banner.
Below is a close-up of my patterned background.  I used the Criss Cross first.  Then I put on top of in blue the Dottie Argyle.  Lastly, I used the Vines pattern in a very dark red.  What a lovely background this combination made.

Don't forget to enter the IO challenge as it ends soon!
