Post 483: Autumn CAS Card- Thankful (Inspiration for Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge- October,2018)

Hi friends!!
Hope you are well.

Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge for October is live. It is an "Anything Stamping Goes" challenge with beautiful prizes on offer and you could win the chance to Guest Design & be published in the magazine, so please read the rules and do link up your gorgeous creations :) To visit the Craft Stamper blog, please click HERE.

For the inspiration, I've created a Clean & Simple (CAS) card inspired by  the Autumn Season.

Here are a few photos of the card:

Synopsis of the Process:

I've used Neat & Tangled's Oaf leaf stamp here. Stamped the beautiful leaf and sentiment onto Canson Watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. Created an organic watercolor background using Gansai Tambi Watercolors. Made a few splatters and added a few Nuvo drops for dimension. The panel is matted in black with a scalloped rectangle die cut (using a Winnie & Walter die) and then foam mounted onto an A2 sized kraft card base.

Look forward to seeing your beautiful entries in Craft Stamper's TIMI challenge for October, all the details are on their blog, HERE

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed!

Post 398: Fun with Tags & Cards (DT post for Mudra Craft Stamps)

Hi friends!!

I have a new blog post on the Mudra Craft Stamps Blog today. I tried making flowers for the first time, foam ones at that :) it was so much fun! To visit the blog post, please click HERE.

As you know, Mudra introduced an awesome new product during their January Release- 10 gorgeous new "Chipzeb" Designer Chipboards. These beautiful white chipboards are intricately designed and economical. Would highly recommend you to check them out and try them.

For today's post, I have shared 2 Mixed Media Tags and 4 cards using lots of gorgeous supplies by Mudra Craft Stamps.

For the Mixed Media Tags, I have used Mudra's Chipzeb "Simply Tags" Designer Chipboards

Here is some useful information about these tags:

The packet contains 6 chipboard tags of various sizes.
These are about 1.2 mm in thickness & made of sturdy creme color high quality board
They take mediums, colors etc very well. With or without primer i.e. Gesso.
For today's Mixed Media Tags, I applied a thick layer of white Gesso, added texture with Modelling paste and used sprays to add color to 2 of these tags. They took all these mediums well.

Here are the approximate sizes of the tags (in centimeters):

- 16.5 by 8.9
- 13.4 by 6.8
- 9.5 by 4.8
- 6.7 by 2.7
- 5 by 3
- 5 by 2

One idea to use the smaller sized tags is to add them as cute embellishments or for stamping/writing messages whilst the larger sizes can be used for making gift tags.

Here is a little peek at some of the projects:

Post 338: Pumpkin ATCs (Celebrate Everything!)

Hi folks!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the US :)
Hope you have a wonderful and blessed time with family and friends.

I recently bought some Viva Las Vegas Stamps and decided to make a couple of fun ATCs. When I saw this barfing pumpkin stamp, I was immediately reminded of Chandler from Friends and his stories about Thanksgiving which he used to tell his friends (I'm a big fan of the sitcom) and so I decided to create a couple of ATCs inspired by that.  I suppose they are a bit snarky, just like Chandler.

Synopsis of the Process:

I did watercoloring with Zig markers for the background and the pumpkin images,  then added background stenciling with an icraft stencil and black archival ink, stamped the sentiment with black archival ink & did some background stamping with the sentiment as well, then added some doodling with white acrylic paint and darkened the edges of the ATCs. In the end, I created a little white splatter with watered down white gesso.

List of Supplies:

VLVS Until Further Notice
ICraft Stencil
Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink
Prima's Heavy White Gesso
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
White Acrylic paint
Waterbrush

Here are a few photos of the ATCs

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Post 299: Autumn Inspired Thanks Card

Hi friends :)

I've created an Autumn Inspired Thanks Card today. Created the background pattern in this card by embossing with leaf dies. Layering has been done by foam mounting the panel, adding twine & then the die cut words are also adhered on top of each other for the shadow effect.

Process:
1. Embossed the prima leaves dies onto a panel of white cardstock which was already die cut with a rectangle die.

2. Blended warm shades of distress oxides onto the embossed panel. A few small water drops were randomly flicked onto the panel to create oxidization, these were lifted with a tissue paper after a few seconds.

3. Adhered the thanks word die cut in white to a black die cut slightly off center so that a shadow effect was created, then adhered this to the card panel

4. Matted the card panel with a black scalloped rectangle die cut using foam tape

5. Then tied a jute twine around the panel and created a bow. This panel was then adhered to the card base with foam tape.

List of Supplies:
Winnie & Walter Essentials- Audrey Cutaways
Prima Marketing Forest Leaves Die
Cutplorations Word Die- Thanks
Lawn Fawn Small Dot Rectangle Die
Distress Oxide Inkpads- Vintage photo, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade
Double Sided Foam Tape
Black & White Cardstock 250 gsm
Jute Twine
Sizzix Silicone Rubber Pad & Sizzix Impressions Pad
Ranger’s round blending tool and foams

Post 280: Thanks Card (Rose)

Hi folks!

I'm sharing a Thanks Card today. This was made for a Guest Design post for stencils. All the details can be found here. The process was a lot of fun. I sponged on the flower and leaves through the stencil with Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberries, Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides. I wanted a softer look to the flower, so I used an aqua brush over the design. Then I did some watercoloring with zig markers for the background. Added the die cut sentiment and a few dew drops to finish the card.

Post 256: Thanks Card

Hi friends :)

How are you this Sunday afternoon? I'm still not fully awake :p even though I have been up for quite some time. Feeling tired and there is nothing I would like better than to get back to bed and just sleep for a couple of days and wake up all refreshed!! So I thought I would share a card on my blog :) This is one of the cards I made while Guest Designing for CrafTreat Stencils, you can check out the whole post here.

I really love the design of the mandala stencil so I've just spread some modelling paste through the stencil onto the Kraft card panel which was later distressed to give a vintage look. I kept the design simple so that the focus was on the mandala design. I love the color combo of kraft with white, its really pretty. I added a bit of jute twine as an embellishment to keep with the simple look. In the end, I added a few dots to the design with white acrylic paint to accentuate the mandala design.

List of Supplies:

Craftreat Mandala Stencil
Cutplorations Thanks Word Die
Kraft and White Cardstock 250 gsm
Jute Twine
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Prima Marketing Modelling Paste
Palette Knife
White Acrylic Paint
Brushes

Post 218: Floral Thanks Card

Hi friends :)

Hope you are having a good start to the weekend. I have spent most of my time crafting for the past couple of days. My desk and shelves have become messy because of all the projects. I will have to take the time to clear everything and sort through things so everything is better organized. A clean space helps me feel uncluttered and motivated to create. But I must admit, the cleaning and organizing part is difficult, time consuming and soo tiring! (therefore, I avoid it as long as possible). Ah well, you gotta do what you gotta do, eh? Also, I have a small crafty giveaway running through the month of July with 2 prizes on offer. Its open world-wide. In case, you are interested, all the details are here

Today, I'd like to share a Clean and Simple Floral card. This is a side folding 5 by 7 inch card. I stamped the script background on the oval panel (watercolor paper) with yellow archival ink with a Hero Arts stamp and then stamped some butterflies. (I wanted the tone on tone look with a bit of interest with respect to the scripty background.) Then I created a yellow water color wash using an aqua brush and zig markers. Then stamped the floral images from a Winnie & Walter stamp set. The sentiment is stamped on labels which were water colored in hues of pink and blue. Finished off the card with a few blue crystals.

List of Supplies:

Hero Arts Wood Mounted Stamp- Artistic Butterflies
Hero Arts Wood Mounted Stamp- (Background french script)
Hero Arts Clear Stamp- Month August (Sentiment)
Winnie & Walter Stamp-In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya (flowers)
Ranger's Archival Inkpads- Magenta Hue, Manganese Blue and Chrome Yellow
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Aqua Brush
Canson Watercolor Paper
Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Rectangle Die (label)
DCAM Double Stitched Oval Die
Iris white and blue cardstock 250 gsm
Blue crystals
Tombow Mono Multi Glue

Here are a couple of photographs of the card:
