I'm still working on Taj Mahal Mandala Garden. I've now completed the left and top outside and flower borders and working my way into the middle section.
I'm so loving seeing this design come alive it is a true pleasure to stitch. My photo is progress up to 14th October. Hopefully I will have another update soon.
Happy Stitching everyone,
Deb

Taj Mahal 2 sides complete still heaps to go.
It has been a while since I posted an update on my Taj Mahal Mandala Garden WIP.
I've spent most of June stitching on Taj and made a heap of progress, with both the top and left sides of the outer border, and flower borders all but complete. 1 Taj building almost complete and gradually working my way into the middle as I start on the right side borders at the top.
Here is where I was on my last update.

Introducing myself
Hi everyone, I'm Deb from Australia. I was invited to join the blog by the wonderful Joysze a little while ago and thought it was high time I pop in and said hello.
I'm currently stitching my very first Chatelaine. I have admired them for a while but like many others hesitant to start one. I finally bit the bullet so to speak and started on my Taj Mahal Garden Mandala in December last year. I love it... so beautiful and a lot easier than I thought so now I have added to my wish list many more Chatelaines to stitch.
I have the printed hard copy chart which comes in 12 pages so that is why for some my "parts" might look a little different to how the PDF was presented. I also didn't start in the middle as suggested. I like to start in the top left for all my projects so I guess I was a bit of a rebel and started it on the outside working it down and across as I go.
Here is where I am with my progress with Taj Mahal Garden Mandala as of 2nd of March.

A new year, a new project!
In december I've got a frame to stitch on ( I don't know how it's called in english) and I started a new project.
The Hummingbird Mandala. I'm also still working on the Taj Mahal and the Mystery but at the moment the Hummingbird is my favorit. Here are some pictures of all of them.
First three pictures are from the Hummingbird, next two are the Taj Mahal and the last three the Mystery.
Regards,
Linda

What have I done
Sometimes you ask yourself, what have I done? Where did the time go?
Here in the Netherlands we have a tradition called Sinterklaas which is celebrated to around the 5th of december. Kids believe there is coming a holy man from Spain to bring them a lot of presents. So you see the last weeks I had to do a lot of shopping to buy gifts for both my daugthers although my elder daughter is a little bit doubtful about the whole story. Its a bit like Christmas which we also celebrate here in the Netherlands, but less grand than in other countries.
But between all this shopping and preparing I still occasionally found the time to stitch and I wanted to let you see my progress.
The Mini Mandala Mystery consists of three parts and I know finished two of them. I also have al little progress with the Taj Mahal Garden.
I received almost al the materials for the Evening in the Park and the Hummingbird Mandala. I'm one of those who like to have a lot of WIP in their hands. So I think I will start with at least one of them this week also and maybe with both of them. I will keep you informed.

I did it!
A few days ago I told that I was a bit nervous because I could start with stitching up some beads.
But after getting some advise from Joze I did it and I have to say I love it.
Stitching Châtelaine's is so addictive that I already ordered the materials to start with the Hummingbird Mandela, the workshop 01 en 04 en maybe The Evening in the Park.
I hope to get the materials in a week or to because most of it has to come from the US or Canada.
I'll keep you informed. Till next time.
Linda

Hello again
Hello again,
I did some stitching the last few days, not much because it was very busy. But I promised to share my progress at a regular base, so I try to do so. I can start with the beads in the Taj Mahal, they will be my first so I am a bit nervous. But we will give it a try and if necessary I have an acquaintance who will help me if needed.
See you soon,
Linda
(The picture's of the Mystery are not great, but I took them at night, sorry)

Some of my Chatelaine WIPs
I haven't been stitching as much lately as I would like; life just has a way of getting busy this time of year for me! I do have some older Chatelaine WIP pics that I hadn't posted yet so that I'd have something to share during my "lean" stitching time. Since frequent stitching will continue to elude me for awhile, I will spread these posts out too so that I'm still "around" sometimes!
I'll start with two of my oldest Chatelaine WIPs: Misty Morning Vineyard which I started when it was still a mystery:

Another of my older WIPs is Taj Mahal Garden, started when it was still an online class:

I'll add a couple more next time! I have 8 in progress, so saving them until later will give me a little more to write about in the next couple months. Hopefully by then we'll be done with little league season and the other things that make life so busy for me between now and June!

Taj Mahal - Top Paisleys Added!
With my Terrace Arch obligation piece finished, I'm back on stitching Taj. Over the last few nights, I've added the bigger trees, borders, and top left and right paisleys to the sides of the North Taj Mahal. The plan is to see how much of the flower border I can get done over the weekend.

Taj Mahal Mandala
I keep forgetting to post a WIP of my Taj Mahal. It's on hold for a wee bit while I work on a gift for my aunt, but if all goes well, this baby will be back on my scroll frame at the end of the week. :D
Stitched on 32ct Ray of Light as Martina recommended.

Hi from Mexico!!
Hello, my name is Yany, and I have been stitching for about 20 years. I want to thank Joyce and Sooz for this wonderful blog! A few years ago, someone tell me about this wonderful designs by Martina, and since then, I'm a fanatic!

Right now, I'm in love with Venice Mandala, I saw some WIP pics, and IT'S AMAZING!!! I'll be waiting Svetlana wonderful progress pics. Perhaps I'll buy this kit next Xmas or so, cause lets face it, I have already a lot to play with...
