Go Green!

Time for another challenge on Dottie's World. If you join in then please remember the digi image, it's the most important aspect of the challenge but you'll be surprised by how many enter without one.

Our lovely Gunn set the challenge and this is what she wants: "on this one I want you to have green as the main color on your card. And the rest is up to you, but you have to use a Charmed download for this one, that is in fact the most important thing. I also would like you to include a metal charm."

Well I love green on my cards so that part was a pleasure, I'm a very earthy kinda gal.

My Charmed download is another image from the Sugar & Spice bundle. I coloured her in with Copic markers, here are my colours:
R20, R24, R39, R59, R81, R83, R85
Y15, Y17
V12, V15, V17
RV19
G05, G07, G12, G14, G17
B21
E00, E02, E35, E37, E39

Forgot to write down my hair colours but they were all C's

I cut the Charmed image partially out at the bottom so that she sat on my large Fancy Pants Chipboard swirl. The required charm here is a beautiful large heart charm adornment by Tim Holtz.

I layered several borders I had cut with a Martha Stewart Border punch.

The blue rose is Prima Mini Roses. The chipboard jounalling piece is again Fancy Pants , and the "Hugs" rub-on is Basic Grey Basics. Paper is Basic Grey, plus plain cardstock.

Scalloped circle is cut with a Nestabilities die.

I hope you like it :-)

Pop back later when I will draw my little candy :-)

Thanks for visiting the Charmed corner of the Web ♥ Have a great Sunday x

Sunday Challenge - Charms

Juliet set the challenge today on Dottie's World and she wanted to see something dangly on the cards (snigger), such as a charm, as well as a Charmed download.

I used Madison on the Beach, from Holly & Madison's World Tour, as well as Mikey from the new collection (download button in side bar).

My dangly charm is a Marion & Me "Beach Babe" charm, which I hung from a Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp.

The sentiment is a mixture of stickers and rub-ons:

Some of the other products used:
Basic Grey Porcelain Paper
K&Co Que Sera Sera Note card
Nestabilities die
Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch
Prima flower dotted to make it look like drops of water
Marion & Me Metal heart corner
Tim Holtz ink
Various pearls, crystals and brads
The images were coloured in with Copic markers

Pop over to Dottie's World and join the challenge :-)

TFL and have a great Sunday ♥

Inspiration Challenge....

Sunday can mean only one thing: time for another challenge on Dottie's World. This time the lovely Louise set the challenge and she chose for us to gain inspiration from a dreamy picture.

I loved this picture so much that I decided to use it in full on my card. It's a very simple card using just the picture, a few swirls, Madison in Venice (from the Holly & Madison's World Tour collection), a bit of multi-coloured ribbon and some pearls and rhinestones, with a doodled border.

I used Copics to colour in Madison. Picking a colour from the dreamy inspiration picture I coloured in the edge of my card and drew shadows around the swirls. The lettering on the inspiration photo was added on the computer.

Pop over the Dottie's World and see the wonderful ways the DT used the inspiration, it's amazing how we all differ.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely Sunday ♥

Sunday Challenge

Today is was the lovely Adele's turn to set the challenge on Dottie's World. Super challenge it is too, and perfect for the release of our new Mikey digi-stamps. The challenge is "Teenager", something for a teenager using one of our downloads. I had to use Mikey of course and here he is chillin'

The large circles are meant to represent vinyls/CD's. Basic Grey paper, K&Co "Rock Star" chipboard (which I coloured a tangy orange where it was pink).

Pop over to Dottie's World and see the amazing creations by the DT members (blinkie in side bar).

Thanks for looking and have a lovely Sunday ♥♥

Sunday Challenge

It was my turn to set the challenge on Dottie's World today - or rather the world of Dottie, George, Holly, Madison, Girls about Town, lots of animals and... (shhh, come back Monday and you willl find out). That got you guessing I bet, and no, it's not our new stamps :-)

My challenge this week was:

CHRISTMAS! Yes really! The weather is getting warmer but lets not forget that cosy feeling we only get at Christmas. It's never too early to start preparing for the big day so this time I want to see a Christmas project, what you do is up to you as long as you include a Charmed download.

....and I am giving a prize to one of the entrants.

Here is my DT card:

I used "Karen" from the Girls about Town bundle, and Reindeer Dottie from the Christmas bundle (both from Charmed Cards & Crafts). I composed the background from various images and decorated with Snow Writer (it was almost empty so there's not as much as I wanted) and Glossy Accents. The lace is new in at Charmed Cards & Crafts (I love it!). Papers are from a mixed K&Co paper pad I had and the swirls are cut on my Silhouette from one of the papers. I used Copics to colour in the images. The sentiment was done on the computer.

Well I don't know about you but I could do with a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine now!!

Have a wonderful Sunday xxx

Sunday Challenge - Bright and Beautiful

Time for another Dottie's World challenge. Juliet set the challenge today and it was a good one: "All things bright and Beautiful". Juliet wanted to see bright colours, plus of course one of the Charmed downloads. This is my card:

The image is a digi-stamp from the Girls about Town bundle. The gorgeous Daisy Lace trim is newly in at Charmed Cards & Crafts and will be uploaded to the site later today. Prima flowers, punched leaves (McGill punch), frame and corners cut on Silhouette.

I hope you will join us in the challenge. Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the other projects by the DT.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely Sunday. xxx

Sunday Challenge - Shaped Card

Time for another challenge on Dottie's World. This time Louise set the challenge and this is what she wanted:

I want you to make a shaped card this week - any shape other than squares or rectangles please! Oh and don't forget your Charmed download!

Well I'm in an Easter-card making type of mood and created two such cards today (OK I'm writing this Saturday), one for Sunday's challenge and one for my Monday Mojo spot on Dottie's World tomorrow - both are shaped cards so both comply equally.

The shape I chose for today is an Easter egg, nice and simply sure, but I have to confess I spent quite some time on this one.

The shaped egg was cut on my Silhouette and I formed the card itself around it.

The inside is decorated with K&Co paper.

My Charmed digi stamp is Henry Hare from the Animal Magic collection. I think he looks cute in yellow and green LOL

Easter Basket with eggs again cut on the Silhouette.

Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the gorgeous shaped creations from the other DT members.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely Sunday (don't forget to put your clocks forward!!).

Twice, or even THRICE as nice!

The lovely Adele set the challenge on Dotties World today and she wanted to see two or more of the Charmed downloads.

I used three of our "digi stamps":

My mojo was sadly lacking and I spent ages either thinking about what to do or faffing about doing it!! Pop over to Dottie's World and see what the other DT members came up with.

Sunday Challenge - Sketch

My turn to set the challenge today on Dottie's World and I decided that a sketch would be nice.

One firm stipulation is that the card must have some sort of fancy edge, mine here is a row of Easter eggs as I decided on an Easter themed card.

Once again I am using the lovely Holly in the Garden image, it is so versatile. My chicks were cut on my Silhouette but the beaks didn't cut well so I did those separately. Same with the legs, too spindly when cutting small so I had to draw them instead. Gawd knows what happened to the tiny circles that was meant as eyes but you only notice they haven't got any when it's blown up like this LOL
Holly and the chicks were coloured with Copic markers. I also colured some of the hyacinths in the basket with them.

They look quite cute sitting on top of the card I think. The Easter Basket with eggs was also cut on the Silhouette, although I pinched one of the larger eggs from the egg border - which I also cut on the Silhouette! I didn't notice until just now that one of the pens has bled around the hat. Oh well, I actually think it looks as though I intended to do that LOL

Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the amazing card created by the design team! Oh and I am offering a prize this week also, so don't miss out.

Thanks for looking x
