Chemicals and Fire

This week, My Creative Space, is all about chemicals and fire! Annealing, melting, etching, it’s all so much fun and I am thrilled with the skills I am learning and the pieces I am producing.

I am waiting on my first ever Etsy purchase to arrive, it includes copper chain and findings so I can finish off the pieces I have been making and list them in my fledgling Etsy store.

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY……

That’s what Little Guy and I have been skipping around the house singing, as he helped me celebrate my latest experiments success!

I have had a few duds in the last few days trying to master this technique and I am so happy to have figured it out. Being able to etch designs onto copper is going to open up a whole new realm of design possibilities.

So watch this space for a heap of etched copper in the next few weeks!!

p.s. don’t worry, I don’t have a broken heart, the talk of anti valentine on Etsy just got me thinking.
