Demon's Claws - S/T

Lo-fi, garage rock n roll from Montreal, CA. Good, simple, grimmy, boozey, this is what teenagers with no aspirations or dreams to "make it big" other than the next dead end bar would sound like.

why - oaklandazuasylum (2003)

why? is the bastard son of indie hip-hop label Anticon, but it is anything but. I can't quite pinpoint their sound, cuz they just seem to go everywhere without going too far, really great stuff. The opening track "ferris wheel" sounds like a Jeff Magnum b-side, then they seem to go into some nonsensical lo-fi electronica and some indie-folk here & there. Also the album cover is one of my fav's, highly recomended for the eccentric lot.

we all put our pants on one leg at a time
