Why? - Alopecia (2008)

I can't believe i just found out about this album, its been out since march of last year. If you're not familiar with why?, you should be. Look at that cover and tell me you're not intrigued, this is one of those unclassifiable bands, they mesh everything into a delectable pot.

why - oaklandazuasylum (2003)

why? is the bastard son of indie hip-hop label Anticon, but it is anything but. I can't quite pinpoint their sound, cuz they just seem to go everywhere without going too far, really great stuff. The opening track "ferris wheel" sounds like a Jeff Magnum b-side, then they seem to go into some nonsensical lo-fi electronica and some indie-folk here & there. Also the album cover is one of my fav's, highly recomended for the eccentric lot.
