Back so soon?!!

Morning All,

Yep I'm back again so soon, lol!  Today with a Christmas Card I made for my Mum, Dad and Bro last week but didn't get around to posting yet.  I used my new Sugar Nellie 'Old St Nick' stamp, he's just such a perfect Santa isn't he?!...

A close up of 'Old St Nick'...

And a side view...

I love this stamp!

I'm feeling much better today after my self inflicted hangover yesterday, so I plan to get into my craft room for a big session!  I still have loads of cards to make, and this year I thought I was organised, lol!  Still, I have some ideas in mind so fingers crossed I can get busy today  :o))

I promised you all some photo's of Daemo's birthday celebrations, so here they are (warning, photo heavy!!)...

Daemo with the Maserati GranCabrio he borrowed for the day...

Daemo's birthday cake...

And the guests cakes...

Daemo with his Dad and Brother-In-Law...

Daemo and his best mate Steve, the envelope was his present, a track day in a Lamborghini!!  Thanks Steve  :o)) ...

Daemo blowing his candles out...

Me and Daemo...

It was such a fun evening  :o)  They had a live singer on in the restaurant so that really added to the atmosphere.  I made some trivia cards for the tables, one on Sport, one on Movies, one on Music and a General Knowledge one to see how well everyone knew Daemo, the singer even read some of the questions out, lol!  We also had a little raffle with some of Daemo's favourite films to give away on DVD and the grand prize was.....an Arsenal Rubber Ducky, lol!  Well we had to have something Arsenal related as Daemo is a huge fan!  All in all it was a great night and I think everyone enjoyed themselves  :o)

Ok, that's it from me, I'll see you all soon,
Much love,

Purple Birthday!

Hiya everyone!

Firstly, WOW!  Thank you all so much for all your positive comments on my redundancy.  I really am feeling much better about it all now and as you all so rightly said, as one door closes another opens.  I'm looking at it as a chance for a new opportunity rather than a hassle to find another job so thank you all so much for really lifting my spirits - you all ROCK!!

I've been absolutely flat out since Friday!!  I went to the Make It Craft Show at Farnborough on Saturday, spent a few pennies and got some lovely new stash which I can't wait to play with!!  Sunday (as I now have some free time!) I was back to playing netball.  My team all started playing over in another league on a Sunday mornings but at the beginning of this year I was so busy with doing the adoption courses and working full time I had to give it up.  So that's one thing I've started back up again  :o))  Although I don't think I played that well but we won, whoop whoop!!  I also umpire too so it was two games this week (umpiring then playing) and I was absolutely shattered when I got home - poor old bird!!  And yesterday I went to the Professional Beauty Show at the ExCel in London.  Not that beauty is my profession but it is my friends and she had a spare ticket so I tagged along too!  It was really good fun actually but after all that, boy am I tired today!!  Today I've only done the food shopping and loads of paperwork that I've been saving (groan!) but thought I'd pop on and post my card before heading out tonight for a lovely meal and some well deserved drinkies!!

So, onto my card (gosh I've gone on haven't I - yawn!!)  This one was a commissioned card for our friend to give to his daughter who's favourite colour is purple!...

Apologies for rubbish piccies, another night time photo shoot in terrible light!!

Ok, I'd better shoot.  I'm really hoping for a crafty day tomorrow so fingers crossed I'll be back soon!...

Take care all,
Much love,

Rugby Hamish

Evening All,
Well I can't believe it's Sunday night already and (extremely!) unfortunately that means it's back to work tomorrow :o( Why does the weekend always go so quickly?? I wish my working week flew by as fast but it just drags and drags.....can you tell I really don't enjoy the day job!! Anyway, I don't want to shorten my weekend by thinking about work (and I'm sure you don't want to listen to me moaning, lol!) so onto the cards! I've made three cards this week and I'm posting them all tonight - see I told you I was going to try and be more organised, lol! So here's the first one!

Mmmmmm, Birthday Cake!

Hello again everyone!
Here I am with another card I made for my Sister-In-Law to give to her Father-In-Law. He's actually celebrating the big 60, but he's got the hump about it so I wasn't allowed to mention it on the card! Why have the hump, any excuse for a party I say, lol! Anyway, I decided to use this stamp, it's Chef Hamish by Sugar Nellie. He's just soooo cute isn't he! I then thought "I wonder what the Sugar Nellie Challenge is this week?" and it was this fantastic sketch by Kathy (Challenge 22), so I'm going to enter this card in the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week. I used an 8 x 8 inch card from Craftwork Cards and I'm really chuffed with the result. I love this card, and loved making it, as I do most my cards, lol! So, what do you think?...
