Pollycraft Challenge # 104 ~ Paulas Sketch!

Are you bored of me yet, lol!

Here I am with my final post today (3 of 3!) with my Pollycraft DT card.  The challenge this week is a Sketch and I must say it's a cracking sketch too!  Here it is...

The card I made is for friends of mine who've had just the best news!  Here it is...

Inside of card...

And a side view...

Cute huh!  I love these Little Stars!!  The prize up for grabs this week is 10 Digi's from the Pollycraft Shop - fabaroony or what!!  :o))  See you there!!

I'm feeling a bit excited / nervous today, well very nervous actually!  My netball team made it through to the finals of the Summer League ~ whoop whoop, go Dakotas!!  The final is tonight but obviously it's holiday time so some of the squad are away which means.....I'm playing aggghhhhh!!  I wasn't going to play, I've had the green light from the physio so that's all good but I wanted the summer to practise and build my strength back up ready for the winter league in September.  We had a full team ready to go, but then one of the girls turned her ankle whilst out on Friday night so it's either play with 6 (when you need 7!) or I play.  I know I'm gonna love it, I had 20 minutes on court last week and thoroughly enjoyed it.....but this is the finals ~ talk about pressure!!  I'm not really match fit yet, my shooting and passing doesn't feel as strong as before but I guess it'll be the best way to get back to it, in at the deep end or what, lol!  Well I am the captain so you gotta step up haven't you.....wish me luck!!

Ok, I think you've probably all heard enough from me today so I'll leave you to enjoy the glorious weather and see you all soon!

Much love,

Sketch Saturday #155 - I'm baaaaaaaaack!!

Morning All!!

And am I glad to see you all today, wahoo!!  The sun is shining down here in Kent and I am in suuuuuuch a brilliant mood!!  Yesterday was Friday the 13th but for me it was a fantastic day  :o)  Hubby and I went and viewed a new car for me on Wednesday.....and we picked it up yesterday yaaaaaay!!  Not that I've had the chance to drive it yet but sitting in the passenger seat being chauffeured knowing it was my car was fab!!  Can't wait to drive it  :o))  Then on the way home we popped into Mum and Dad's to show them the car.....and ended up booking a holiday!!  Nothing major but we're all (including my bro) going to the Isle of Wight for 3 nights next month  :o))  And then in the afternoon I had my hospital appointment where.....I HAD MY CAST OFF WHOOP WHOOOOOOOP!!  Maaaaan that was such a long 7 seven weeks let me tell you!  My arm now feels very weird but I'm getting used to being cast free.  I still can't move my wrist much at all and it's still quite swollen but I have physio in a couple weeks to sort that all out  :o))  It looks horrible and waif like with 3 very sore looking wounds but I slept so well last night without the cast on - on the road to recovery at last yipeeeeee  :o))

So enough of me going on (sorry!) and onto this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday - one I've actually been able to join in with wahoooo!!  I made this with the cast still on, it took about 2 days lol but felt sooooo good to make something - I couldn't leave my spangly new craft room you see!!  So, here it is - please ignore any colouring over the lines, as I said I was still in my cast!!...

Evening All,

Well you can tell I'm back at work (boooooooo!) I've had no time at all and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open at the moment, sooooo tired!!  Poor old bird, lol!!  It's always hard first week back after an extended break ay, mind you I did have netball last night and we haven't played for so long so I think it's probably a mixture of work and netball making me tired!!  But I did get Player of the Match so at least it was well worth the effort!!   Friday tomorrow so only one more day to go, wahoo!!

I have managed to squeeze in a cheeky little card this week, sorry the piccies are so bad but there's hardly any light when I leave in the morning and pitch black by the time I get home!  Roll on spring ay...

Another Baby Boy Card, aaaawwwwwww!

Hi all,

It's Saturday, wahoooooooooooo!! Which can mean only one thing - there's another FAB sketch to follow over on Sketch Saturday, wahoooooooooooo!! This week we are sponsored by the fantastic Simon Says Stamp, a $25.00 gift voucher is up for grabs and believe me, you will NOT have a problem spending it, lol!! So here's my card (week #2 as a DT Member, whoop whoop!). This one I've made for our bestest friends (and sort of cousins - long story, lol!) who had another baby boy at the beginning of August. We went over to see them last Saturday, aaawwwwww lots of new baby cuddles! Welcome to world Ethan Paul Murphy, MWAH!

Close up Elzybells Baby Teddy, coloured with my Copics and Derwent Coloursoft pencils...

Inside of card, sentiment is also by Elzybells...

Side view of card. You can't really see it (thanks to my rubbish photography skills!) but I sticky fixed the image and the star, then sticky fixed the Baby Teddy again, just to add a little dimension...

The papers I've used are Craftwork Cards - Vintage Rose Essentials (loads of fab new Craftwork Cards papers out at the mo!) which I've layered onto Bazzill Bling card. All the stamps I've used are Elzybells, the Grosgrain Ribbon is by Celebrate at Hobbycraft, the Buttons are all from Papermania, the charm was from my stash (sorry can't remember where!) and I've used my Nesties (stars), Martha Stewart Scallop Dot Border Punch and added Glamour Dust for extra bling!
I absolutely love Elzybells stamps and I'm so, so gutted that the amazingly talented Elizabeth has closed it down :o( I think there are still some bargains to be had though so do pop over and try and get yourself some.

I'll be back at some point over the coming week with another Baby Boy card for you, 3 baby boys all born within about 2 weeks of each other!! I'm desperately missing doing something pink, lol!! So until then, join in the fun at Sketch Saturday...

Lots of love
