Quick HB card for Kathy

I had a request for a birthday card - needed in about an hour!!!  The apron is in my digi file (Calypso) , colored with chalk pencils, and the sentiment is computer generated.  I used DP from an old DCWV pad.

He must be relaxing after fun in the sun!  The strip is cute  Washi tape that has 3 different patterns, each about 1 1/2 inches.  The image is from my pre stamped stash.

Stripes, ribbons and faux buttons

These are coordinating and double sided CS - I think the company is Best Creation.  Both the stripes and flowers are glittery.    I used dies for the buttons - flatter to mail!   A narrow ribbon and shiny gold sticker strip complete the look.

Interpreting an inspiration challenge is not always easy for me.  The Alley way challenge offered several choices - even harder to decide!  I was looking for some DP that I had in mind, when I noticed this piece - by the Paper Studio  It was part of a sort of grab bag - lots of paper, and this is the first I used these cupcakes!  It fits the color part of the inspiration, and I was inspired to use this sketch for the circles as well.  The Alley Way image is colored with Prismas - some Stickles added to the icing and to the pink flower.

This is Kitty's Flutter Friends from High Hopes, with a Paper Pretties sentiment.  The BG paper is Basic Grey, and I used a couple of BG scraps for the butterfly and tiny circle punches.  The sentiment is edged with scissors, and I used Nesties for the circles.

Spring butterfly

I got to use a bit of DP (DCWV) that I have had in my stash for a long time - good!  The butterfly is by Cheery Lynn, backed by a Labels I die (Spellbinders) and the flourish from Spellbinders.  I added ribbon, a bit of glitter, and sentiment from the Rubber Cafe.

Edited to add:  the scalloped circle is from a piece of hand made paper - IRL the texture is great. and there is a heart partially hidden!
The sentiment is hard to read here:    Alll you need in life is a friend who has chocolate....I'm that friend.
